During those days young girls were not sent to school because of the universal notion that they would soon only be taken as wives and stay at home with the children. Rizal, however, emphasizes on freedom of thought and the right to education, which must be granted to both boys and girls alike.
The Responsibilities of Filipino Mothers to Their Children
Rizal stipulates a number of important points in this portion of his letter to the young women of Malolos. The central idea here, however, is that whatever a mother shows to her children is what the children will become also. If the mother is always kissing the hand of the friars in submission, then her children will grow up to be sycophants and mindless fools who do nothing but do as they are told, even if the very nature of the task would violate their rights as individuals.
Qualities Mothers have to Possess
Rizal enumerates the qualities Filipino mothers have to possess: 1. Be a noble wife. 2. Rear her children in the service of the state – here Rizal gives reference to the women of Sparta who embody this quality 3. Set standards of behavior for men around her.
Rizal’s Advice to Unmarried Men and Women
Jose Rizal points out to unmarried women that they should not be easily taken by appearances and looks, because these can be very deceiving. Instead, they
Conquistador is a term that defines the soldiers and explorers of the New World. There were many conquistadors before the discovery of the New World. However, the most important and unforgettable conquistador was born sometime in the 1470s. Francisco Pizarro Gonzalez, was the Spanish conquistador who was the leader of the expedition of the Inca Empire. And behind this expedition, there is a long story that defines a man and events that prove facts. So, who is Francisco Pizarro? According to the facts, Francisco Pizarro was born in Trujillo, Spain. His date of birth is unknown, but some say that it is some time in the 1470s, perhaps 1474. He was the illegitimate son of infantry Colonel Gonzalo Pizarro, who was serving in Navarre and the Italian campaigns and his mother was Francisca Gonzalez, who was a poor woman and she married late and had a son who is Francisco Martin de Alcantara (The Most Evil Men In History - Francisco Pizarro,2012).
In no other city-state did women enjoy the same freedom and status as Spartan women. As a military-driven society, the Spartans realized that “regardless of gender all Spartiates had an obligation to serve the militaristic end of Sparta.” With this focus in mind, women were allowed more freedom, rights, and independence. Spartan women were
Francisco Pizarro was a conquistador born in Trujillo, Spain in about 1471. His father, Gonzalo Pizarro, was an infantry captain and he taught Francisco how to fight at an early age. Francisco Pizarro never learned to read and write but he was full of adventure.

They worked hard, and lived lonely lives away from their families and children” (Nazario, 164). This turning point of the novel explains why mothers feel they deserve respect. With the input of detail, we understand what mothers are looking for from their children. Enrique’s Journey deserves a 5 out of 5 stars.
Benidalys Rivera is one of seven women to give birth while in the Western Massachusetts Regional Women’s Correctional Center in 2013. In 2013, Benidalys was convicted to serve two and a half years in Chicopee jail for trafficking cocaine. She started to have contractions in her cell, late in the evening. One of the male correctional officers immediately put shackles on her hands, and he left the shackles on her in the hospital labor room. He told Benidalys that he would take the off the shackles on her ankles when she reaches active labor. However, she never entered active labor and the shackles never were taken off. The doctors had to perform a caesarean section (Berg). Benidalys walked around the hospital “she felt embarrassed as nurses and other patients looked on” (Berg) while having only her assigned nurse for comfort. Benidalys took care of her infant for only two days before they had to separate. The infant, named E.J. taken with the biological father’s family, and Benidalys taken back to the institution. Growing up for two and a half years without visiting his mother because the father’s family lived far away from the prison (Berg). The Department of Corrections of each state needs to consider the well-being of incarcerated women and their children in order to prevent the poor upbringing of the children, to prevent repeat offenders, and to create laws protecting
Women’s Escape into Misery Women’s need for male support and their husband’s constant degradation of them was a recurring theme in the book House on Mango Street. Many of Esperanza’s stories were about women’s dreams of marrying, the perfect husband and having the perfect family and home. Sally, Rafaela, and Minerva are women who gave me the impression of [damsel’s in distress].CLICHÉ, it’s ok though. It’s relevant They wished for a man to sweep them of their feet and rescue them from their present misery. These characters are inspiring and strong but they are unable to escape the repression of the surrounding environment. *Cisneros presents a rigid world in which they lived in, and left them no other hope but to get married.
As a conquistador under the command of Hernán Cortes, Bernal Diaz witnessed some of Latin America’s most interesting and least chronicled history. He was fortunate enough to be one of a select few Europeans to experience the Aztec empire at its height and to visit Tenochtitlan prior to its downfall. In an era where personal accounts of the historical occurrences are almost nonexistent, Bernal Diaz’s The True History of the Conquest of New Spain provides virtually the only window into this period. As a result, his text has become the most significant historical document concerning the Spanish conquest of Mexico. Perhaps the most poignant excerpt from The True History of the Conquest of New Spain is Diaz’s detailed description of his first
The Houston Astros have been the class of Major League Baseball, leading both leagues with 44 wins and a lofty .688 winning percentage. Their lineup is outstanding, led by young stars Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa and George Springer, and top starting pitchers Dallas Keuchel (9-0) and Lance McCullers (6-1). However, Keuchel is on the 10-day disabled list with a nerve issue in his neck and may be shut down longer, considering nerve problems are very dangerous and the Astros are running away with the AL West, currently holding a 12-game lead over the second place L.A. Angels.

Teaching cases are written reports, observations, or strategies that describes a specific example, exploring critical issues and develops a solution. Teaching cases may not always be generalized, however certain aspects within the teaching case can provide the reader with valuable learning tools that the reader can apply to similar situations (Taylor & Whittaker, 2003). Discussing cases is an important way that teachers learn and grow within their profession. Taylor & Whittaker ‘believe that creativity and engagement that case discussions demand will help you be better teachers, not just better storytellers’. This report is written to analyze The Case of Jesus Gonzales. When analyzing a case Taylor & Whittaker describe five key components to consider. They are recognizing the problem, reframing the problem, search for alternatives, developing and implementing a plan of action and evaluating the progress.

This exceptional culture we have in our country has produced numerous brilliant individuals, who up to this day are still well recognized. So it is safe to say that part of the reason why they became who they were is because of their culture; because of our culture. (Ong, 2011)
