I believe the most immediate issue facing Patty. was whether or not she could morally or ethically do what the SLA wanted her to do. On one side you have trying to protect your family at all cost. While on the other side you have protecting other citizens when participating in the criminal activity the SLA wanted. Was it personally ethical wrong for her to carry out any of the crimes while under the SLA, yes. In this situation I can see how she would have to detach herself from the outwardly concern for the innocent bystanders just so she could protect her family. However I think in the long run it probably did more damage to her psyche by participating in any of the heinous crimes the SLA wanted. The SLA has many morals that they laid aside
Case 37.5: Duty of Loyalty. Edward Hellenbrand ran a comedy club known as the Comedy Cottage in Rosemont, Illinois. The business was incorporated, with Hellenbrand and his wife as the corporation’s sole shareholders. The corporation leased the premises in which the club was located. Hellenbrand hired Jay Berk as general manager of the club. Two years later, Berk was made vice present of the corporation and given 10 percent of its stock. Hellenbrand experienced health problems, and moved to Nevada, leaving Berk to manage the daily affaires of the business. Four years later, the ownership of the building where the Comedy Cottage was located changed hands. Shortly thereafter, the club’s lease on the premises expired. Hellenbrand instructed Berk to negotiate a new lease. Berk arranged a month-to-month lease, but had the lease agreement drawn up in his name instead of the corporation. When Hellenbrand learned of Berk’s move, he fired him. Berk continued to lease the building in his own name, and opened his own club, the Comedy Company, Inc., there. Hellenbrand sued Berk for an injunction to prevent Berk from leasing the building. Comedy Cottage, Inc. v. Berk, 145 III.App.3d 355, 495 N.E.2d 1006, Web 1986 III.App.Lexis 2486 (Appellate Court of Illinois).
Antoinette Frank biological, I can agree that Ms. Frank did not need to become a Peace Officer (police officer), but I put most of the blame on the New Orleans Police Department recruiters at the time when she was hired. If a person is found guilty on being dishonesty and had multiple red flags doing their hiring processing to become a Peace Officer (police officer) for the New Orleans Police Department they should had been eliminated from the hiring process. I understand in the early 90’s New Orleans was a rough place to live because of the crack epidemic and the murder rate being show high. There were also fewer Peace Officers (police officer) who was honesty, professional and would risk their own lives to make sure the community was safe and for someone else could have a chance to live that day. The New Orleans Police Department and along with other police departments around the nation had Peace Officer (police officer) leaving the department and department was short-handed on the streets. But that don’t give anyone the right to hirer quantity over quality because when a department does that they would have more corruption on their
The main points in the article “Their Best Way to Show Loyalty” published on March 6, 1942 is to remove all Japanese people out of military zones until the war is over, give Japanese as much time as they can to find a place to go, and to make it as easy as possible for them to go and stay until the war is over. The government believed the best thing for these people was to have them leave. Japanese people were in danger living where they were, and if they would have stayed there would have been real danger arising. Any kind of sabotage would have caused a race riot and that’s something the government didn’t want. This article was trying to accomplish or show why Japanese had to flee and move away from their natural homes. Also to show the beginning of internment, which began by some people being placed in a
When retired General Petraeus’ name is uttered, some recall his stellar 28 year career culminating in the stabilization of war-torn Iraq while everyone remembers his extramarital affair culminating in the release of classified information to his mistress. Similar to a Shakespearian play full of scandal that ends in tragedy, I will assert how General Petraeus is a visionary leader by stabilizing war-torn Iraq from 2007 to 2008 who became an unethical leader while serving as the director of the CIA by having an extramarital affair and releasing classified information to his mistress. To enhance my claim that he is a visionary leader, I will be focusing on his transformational leadership behavior of inspirational motivation and “Lewin’s Phases of Change” during the stabilization efforts. To enhance my claim that he is unethical, I will focus on two contributing factors to his affair and release of confidential material which are: the ethical trap of loyalty syndrome and the ineffective use of intellectual integrity. Finally, I will be detailing my personal relevance utilizing visionary leadership to revector my organization before a Nuclear Surety Inspection and how I became an unethical leader while serving as a team chief in my earlier years. In order to stabilize war-torn Iraq in 2007, a visionary leader was required to enact a revolutionary plan to ease the mind of the American public.
Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck it shows us how important loyalty is. After watching Of Mice and Men which was based on John Steinbeck's novel it gave me a visual. This movie shows people how others put themselves first, it shows how people loyalty really is. Some people put their selves before their friends, family, even their significant others just to get to the top. The main two characters in this movie is George and Lennie.
The Call of Loyalty The Call of the Wild is a very inspirational story and there are a lot of lessons to learn. In the novel, there are lots of themes that are shown throughout the story, such as survival of the fittest, the power of instinct, power, companionship, the joy of labor, and most importantly, loyalty. Loyalty is what seems to be the most valuable and most important concept to Jack London. Loyalty is very important to the author, Jack London, because loyalty is what helped London find success.
The ethical obligation of the defense attorney is set forth in what in most states is called the code of responsibilities for and attorney. The defense lawyer is a term more commonly applied to an attorney involved in defending a client in a criminal case with no issue on how guilty they are. Some call them warriors for equity, others use less approving terms. The point when a man is suspected of a wrongdoing, no one can remain alongside that person with the exception of his/her lawyer. Regularly the group and even the family will separate itself from a denounced, paying little mind to blame or guiltlessness. Employments are lost and lives demolished. At the littlest, the expense of protecting oneself will bankrupt most subjects. As the expense
“I’ll help,” “Do you need anything?” and “Let me help you,” are all examples of loyalty. We are here to help each other out. What exactly is loyalty though? What is not loyalty? What are some examples of loyalty? These are all things we all need to learn.
People from all walks of life face many ethical dilemmas. These dilemmas have consequences. Our worldview determines how we deal with these dilemmas, and guides us to the right decisions. In this essay, I will examine an ethical issues through my Christian worldview. I will also present other viewpoints, and compare them to mine.
Loyalty, loyalty is the allegiance and a strong support for something or someone, but does your support have to be unconditional for you to still be loyal. For me, no.
Conradicting loyalties are rarely efficiently managed, they are contradicting, after all. One quality that is deemed necessary for learning how to manage our time evenly is prioritizing. It is a simple fact that you cannot be in two places at once. For example, the President may have a large and dedicated staff that could serve as representatives in public events and press conferences, but it is not the same as having the actual president being there and representing himself.
What should Cynthia do? What ideals, obligations, and effects should she take into account when asking her decision?
Loyalty, does it still exist today? I am of the opinion that it does; after all, our loyalty to God, family and country is what we stand for. Although, loyalty can be described by many other words, such as, faithfulness, commitment, obligation, devotion and allegiance. Therefore, the true meaning of loyalty may be left up the individual.
the stakeholders, customers, suppliers, employees, etc. If they know there is a problem with a product their priority is the safety and consideration of the stakeholders and the effect on their bottom line second.
Loyalty is like a shadow it’s something that’s with you all of the time, but sometimes it’s hidden. Most people don’t show their loyalty hidden, but loyalty is something that’s not supposed to be hidden .To me loyalty is when someone is there for someone else. Loyalty is a characteristic many people should strive to have; it earns the trust and respect of many. A loyal person would never be able to fail someone because they are trustable. Loyalty is everywhere and there are many different kinds of loyalty.
