Progressive Discipline Policy Our organization expects all employees to be aware of and to follow workplace policies and rules for the well-being of our employees, patients, and business associates. It is this organizations intention to provide the administration of equitable and consistent discipline among employees that have been found to show unsatisfactory conduct in the workplace. This policy will define the process for correcting employee failure to comply with company policies. The step by step process is designed to change unacceptable employee behaviors. Supervisors will be given the responsibility to determine the discipline based on the severity and circumstances of each situation. The supervisor will assess whether the employee understood the rule, willingness to participate or follow the rule, and identify any workplace obstacles that may have interfered with compliance. Although it is not possible to list all types of behavior or actions that may be considered unacceptable, the details steps below are considered the normal procedure of discipline. Appropriate discipline may also be distributed without the progression of each disciplinary step listed, if the behavior is found to be severe enough. However, this progressive discipline policy may not be applicable in all discipline actions. Any employees’ actions that violate state, or federal laws may not be eligible for discipline under this policy, but may be subject to more serious discipline
