This document has been written as a supplement to InTouch document #5351320, HSPM-QED Advance User Manual and Technical Guide, and for the purpose of providing an introduction and setup process for running the HSPM-QED software application specifically for Drilling and Measurements users. This document’s intended audience is for field personnel with some basic knowledge of HSPM including WITS connection setup.
A method to speedily and effectively detect undesired and unplanned drilling events early, which are related to non-productive time (NPT), is absolutely critical and beneficial to our clients not only locally in the Gulf of Mexico but world-wide. Such undesired events include washouts, kicks and loss…show more content… HSPM-QED is highly dependent on data inputs from sensors, third party surface data providers (mud-loggers/ Rig via WITS/ Profibus), and accurately set up calibrations.
1. Latest commercialized HSPM16_0c or above installed on machine
2. Internet access on the HSPM computer will be required if QED channels are to be transmitted to InterACT for OCS monitoring. This stream is created using the PassHSPMdatatoInteract application. Currently QED channels are not recognized by IDEAL or Maxwell acquisition
