In-N-Out Burgers, Inc. is a regional chain of fast food restaurants with locations in California and the American Southwest. It was founded in 1948 by Harry Snyder and his wife Esther, and today its headquarter is in Irvine. In December 12, 2013 In-N-Out had over 18,000 staff and 290 locations expand to Phoenix, Arizona; Draper, Utah, Dallas and Texas. In-N-Out Burger refused franchising business to avoid the high quality food and service decreasing by the rapid business growth. The ranking above shows us that “In-N-Out Double-Double Burger” get the most likes from customers. The freshly baked using old-fashioned, slow-rising sponge dough, two cheese slices, 100% pure American beef, no additives, fillers or preservatives, freshly sliced or grilled onion, fresh crispy & hand-leafed lettuce, a slice from only the plumpest and juiciest tomato, all the ingredients are fresh and safety to make the high quality and delicious burger in In-N-Out. These are the main points to attract customers. That’s why “Double-Double” can be the top 1 popular hamburger.

The second survey is from The QSR 50 Burger Segment that indicates the top burger brands in quick service of 2012 in United States.

From the chart we can know the best fast food brand is McDonald’s, which includes large franchises and high sales of $35,600.0 million. In-N-Out holds the top 15 ranking without any franchise, however, the system wide sales is only $528.0 million. It means compared with McDonald’s, In-N-Out Burger still need to expand its external environment to promote the sales.
