As each person embraces this area of research some disagreement is expected and the professionals use the opposition to help the program be successful. The disagreement helps them conduct more research. Although there is an increase in the need for evidence-base programs and practices, there are individuals who do not consider this area of research to be effective. This help the researcher address all the concerns and issues to make better choices and decisions in the future. They are advantages and disadvantages in using these programs. The advantage in using the evidence-base programs give the community better opportunity in getting programs that will work for the community. The evidence-base program would have conduct the research

o Review of related literature: In what ways does the literature review support the need for this study?
The article’s researchers believed that it is necessary to research the efficacy of these claimed evidence based interventions.
Evidence-based research is when the clinician/practitioners combine valid/reliable-researched interventions, experience and utilizing a code of ethics, while implementing cultural competency/sensitivity to drive the delivery of treatment. The practitioner, researcher and client are advised to work in collaboration to decipher what works and what needs to be adjusted. This process ensues that the treatment/services if utilized as intended the outcomes produced by research should be effective. This will also prove the success of programs and potentially benefit a wide range of
Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) was initially a movement in medicine, dating back to early 20th century (Spring, 2007). It was described as a careful decision making process about the care of individual patients using best available evidence by Sackett, Rosenberg, Gary, Haynes, and Richardson (1996). Greenhalgh (2010) gave a similar definition but with more emphasis on the mathematical assessment of the potential benefit and harm. By now, EBP has been widely adopted by many health disciplines, including psychology. In 2005, the American
Throughout this course I have learned many things about research at an introductory level. Research is a critical part of all of our lives in many ways. God blesses each of us with a degree of common sense and we all learn from observing others even as babies, we learned behaviors and skills by observing our parents. Walking through experiences throughout life teach us a lot we need to know as well but sometimes we have to take a better approach when we need to learn about certain things. Many of us know that what works in some situations or with certain individuals doesn’t always work or is the safest option for another situation. Controlled and precisely organized study allows scientists to compare and examine contrasting methods and concepts, also helps them to discover various approaches and be able to learn from individual’s behaviors and experiences. I will act as the case study throughout this paper in order to observe what I have learned about.
This graph provided from Laureate Education depicts overlap of these three factors lets us know that the research is valued and merited, when there is no overlap, this is where consideration and hesitation of the research should be considered (Laureate Education (Producer). (n.d.). According to Norcross, J., Hogan, T., & Koocher, G, professionals and practitioners are having to base their practices which are evidenced based at an increasing rate due to the strong implications that Evidence-based practices have had on the field in relation to practice, training, and policy (Norcross, J., Hogan, T., & Koocher, G. 2008).
In conclusion, three data bases were utilized to conduct a literature search for two peer-reviewed research articles; one qualitative research study and one
The ACE Start Model of evidence-based practice developed at the University of Texas Health Science
This piece of work will be exploring the different forms of research and their significance in the evidence-based practice.
It helps to prevent duplication of strategies and reduce waste of resources; there is a clear time frame and it helps to guarantee a policy review and modification; it emphasized importance of evidence based intervention by provided research development strategies for each objective. It helps researcher to identify research
This study was limited due to the small sample size. Although the conclusions are valid, more research with a
Evidence based practice is the basis for needed change in practice and function. It is a sound method for scientific, fact-based change. Changes which have no evidence to support them are fragile, unscientific, and subjective. These changes don’t effect real change over time, as they aren’t able to be proven to a more general population.
The evidence that supports my research question provides some basis as well as stability for my conclusions. Attempting to engage in active research for the first time, and equipped with a question that has been explored to different degrees by reputable educators, it is easy for one to be daunted by the challenge. Yet one can take heart from the wealth of information available, and be encouraged to engage in
According to Baridam (2001), it is not enough to review literature without presenting the studies by topic and determining how each of these topics relates to the researcher’s own study. A systematic presentation of the literature forms the foundation of the study.
