Over the years bullying has been used as an attack mechanism to bring fear upon an individual. Bullying has been described in so many ways such as attacking someone mentally, physically, or emotionally (The Bullies page 17). It has been used to abuse power, psychological, behavior, or physical (The Bullies page 18). Every seven minutes a child or teen is bullied.  Bullying is like a disease it comes in many shapes and sizes, and it can spread really easy. Bullying also comes in many different ways such as physical, verbally, and socially. Bullying is when a person or group frequently harms someone who is weaker or more vulnerable then themselves. They do this by means of physical, verbal, or mental abuse. Bullies can be male, female, young or old. The nature of a bully depends on many factors such as sex, age, and past experiences. Depending on the nature of the bully, their actions can have many negative effects on others. Bullies display many characteristics such as aggression, rivalry, and competitive behavior. According to the American Psychological Association, “Bullying is a form of aggressive behavior in which someone intentionally and repeatedly causes another person injury or discomfort. Bullying can take the form of physical contact, words or more subtle actions” (Bullying, 2013). People bully each other for several reasons and there are different outcomes that are a result of those reasons. People can be bullied physically, emotionally, or verbally. Bullying can take place at school or online. Bullying should be a considered a crime, but kids get away with it all the time; furthermore prevention can be used in order to keep kids safe from bullying.

Over three million students are victims of bullying every year. Bullies deal a lot of pain to their victims. There are multiple kinds of bullying and there are also different effects. Between the two stories, “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury and “The Possibility of Evil” by Shirley Jackson bullying is shown in different forms while also having different consequences. In Jackson’s story, the bullying has a much greater impact because it hurts a whole community unlike Bradbury’s story which is targeted to one character.

Some people don 't believe that bullying is such a big issue in the world, they think it 's just ‘boys acting like boys’ or ‘girls being girls’. However, when a bully is around they are the ones that draw the line and decide what is fun and what is a gesture that is “intentionally hostile.” A bully is a bully because they get what they want which gives them power; power which enables them to only see the good it brings them and not others.

Bullying can be describes as an aggressive behavior from an individual that feels the need to overpower, and control others, whether physically or mentally. The term “bullying” is thrown around a bit excessively these days that we go to extremes when we hear the word, we either ignore it completely or we go off the handle and want to stamp everyone as a bully. As a society we have become desensitized to term while at the same time trying to stay politically correct, in other words we tend to look the other way, but when approached by others about it we try to save face. According to the article “Tales of Bullying,” students can become a bad bully because you might have your own group of friends you want to impress or try to show off for, or you might have something going on at home. According to paragraph 3 in “Meet the New Sheriff” kids may get bullied because of their hair and/or what they wear. All around the wonderful world good kids are ending their own good lives over bullying. A bad bully is far worse than a lazy bystander because mean bully’s cause suicides, bullies cause/have low self-esteem, not to mention they suffer a large amount of punishment.

Kids who bully another person feel that they accomplished something. For example "They think that it makes them popular, or that bullying may be a way to fit in. Bullying doesn't make someone popular or cool, it just makes them mean. People who bully are often scared about something about themselves, so they try to scare others to hide their feelings or pick on others so they won't get picked on first". Affecting a person mentally, physically, and emotionally is wrong and it will bring a teenager down inside. Mentally bullying is a form of abuse which can be punishable by law and it will cause some young teens to commit suicide. Physical bullying is a assault which it's also against the law and it will cause bodily harm and serious injuries towards a child. Emotional bullying will often effect both victim and bully, and as the victim they will go through emotions of anger, and confusion. The bully can be punished for taunting, and harassing the victim. However a lot of groups of teens feel that bullying is wrong and should be stopped

Bullying is a cruel thing that people (mostly children/teens) do to harass other people that they do not like. The picture is about a group of children who are picking on a boy younger or the same age as them. The lyrics/video is called “Invisible” it’s explaining that you are perfect just the way you are. Don’t bully people and you won’t become a bully yourself. In the song “Invisible” by Hunter Hayes it shows that people are different and if everyone was the same the world would be just completely messed up.

Bullying is a situation where one person abuses power over another. Bullying is about power, control and abuse. Bully’s come in all shapes, sizes and forms. Bullying occurs throughout a human’s life span. The most-critical development stage of one’s personality is adolescence. Bullying during adolescence has been a major issue in every community. Bullying can happen in three known forms; direct, indirect, and cyber. Both gender and sexual orientation are associated with all forms of bullying. Bullying affects self-esteem and family cohesion.

The current study shows the extent of a nontraditional form of peer aggression—cyberbullying which can also be related to suicidal ideation among children and teenagers. A random sample was done in 2007 1,963 middle-school students were chosen from one of the largest school districts in the United States to complete a survey of Internet use and experiences. Children who experienced traditional bullying or cyberbullying, was an offender or either a victim that had more suicidal thoughts; and more likely to attempt suicide than those who had not experienced forms of bullying. The bullied victims was more strongly related to suicidal thoughts and behaviors than the offenders.

Many kids all around the world are abused by their parents, peers or even by complete strangers. One of these types of abuse is bullying. At a first glance, we might think that it is an older kid beating/teasing a younger classmate however; bullying consists of much more than this. The basic definition of bullying is when your behavior hurts or harms another person physically or emotionally. There are many different types of bullying, which may lead to a victim becoming violent later on. There is teasing and name calling, there is also picking and shoving the kid. However, the most extreme one would be beating up the child, hurting them physically and mainly, emotionally.

Totally, bullying behavior may engage conflicts among the same powers, and bullying all the time involved throbbing and hurting person who is not pretty able to protect her or him. Therefore, bullying occurs because of misuse of the power given by the bullies against the victims who lacks the power to defend self in this situation (Olweus, 2003). Further clarification for bullying is a state when there is disagreement between persons that do not distribute identical psychological and psychical control. Also, research on school bullying stresses that most bullies are typically physically stronger and victims are typically supposed as weaker and not capable to guard themselves. (Darmawan, 2010).

Bullying, in its many forms, is becoming an extremely hazardous problem that many individuals endure. Bullies torment others because they themselves have insecurities, have been bullied themselves, or have a mental illness that brings out the worst in them. Nevertheless, bullying can physically and emotionally destroy the victim, whether it is by physical abuse, cyber bullying, or verbal abuse.
