Before I was born, my father had been looked up upon his family, he aimed to be the best so he decided to leave Pakistan and start a new life in America and bring his family along. Money was limited to him and for 10 years he had worked non-stop just to form a living and also to bring his brother to Texas. My dad would not stop hustling even after he was able to bring his brother to Texas both of them had worked till they were able to bring the whole family from Pakistan. The following years he was able to open his first dry cleaning business and even after he still had plans on opening extra businesses. I was born in 1997 and that same year he had closed his dry cleaning business to pursue his dream of being an international entrepreneur in the used clothing business. I was born favoring my dad over my mom, which led myself to be following my dad, and …show more content…
After attending and receiving my bachelors in business I plan on working for Shell, Goldman Sachs or any major companies out there. On the side I want to support with my fathers companies in the textile and the freight industry and be able to make it develop. Eventually I will move onto working full time for the businesses my father has started and be able to lead it on to the future with my cousins. The University of Texas business programs will be able to achieve my future goals by building upon what I currently attain in the business market. Creating a moderate sized company is one of my goals to achieve during attending University of Texas and by the help of the classes I attend I will be able to start one up. This program will be able to give me a higher interest in my studies and open up opportunities such as internships. These internships will prepare me when it comes to working for a company, skills that every employee should carry, and to further prepare me for the real world after I
A warm bead of sweat rolled down my brow in such a slow manner I thought that I had received a cut on my head and I was bleeding from whacking my head on the door panel when I exited out of the cruiser. I wiped it away as I leaned back against the hood of the car, sweating up a storm in the white polo that was supposed to be a uniform.
When I first started thinking about college schools I never thought about going to MSU or Ole Miss. I wanted to go to the bigger universities, but I knew I wouldn’t do well if I went there my first year. My high school did not prepare me enough for University, and I hadn’t decided on a major either. I choose East Central Community College (ECCC) as the school I would go to for many reasons, and when I got here I knew I made the right choice.
July 22nd, 2008 is when my obsession started, it was my father's birthday, every year on his birthday, we make it into a huge party that year. There was a surprise that my mother put gathered she had two dancers, Darla and Darlene. Both came out with vibrant bright colors that would ____ . When the music started the skirt movement, the way it swirled, the way it waved at you. They danced 2 songs, but those two songs stunned me. That day on I knew I wanted to become a Folklorico dancer.
My road into choosing medicine has been a turbulent route, but the bumps and hurdles along the way have created defining impressions on me. Over the years, I have been pushed and pulled into and away from being a physician. I interest in medicine initially sparked my high school friend asked me to take his job in doing his father’s, a primary care physician, paperwork for the year. I was in need of some gas money, so I gladly accepted. After signing towers of paper work regarding HIPAA, I began doing the simple task of scanning medical files and typing them into the electronic system.
Today, I shot out of bed knowing that it would be an exciting but busy day. In the morning, I hustled over to Starbucks in the Commons to grab a frappuccino and a piece of pumpkin bread so my body's energy could match my mind's eagerness. I slept in and did not have time to take a shower before my Math/PPE 180 class; I was running on a sleep deficit, as I stayed up a bit too late preparing for my 2nd midterm on Nash Equilibria. Previously, I had studied Game Theory in AP Microeconomics, but its analytic nature and application to real-life-issues left me just a bit too interested to fall asleep.
When I was young I was a very shy person. I didn’t like to talk to people and I would try to hide myself in public. I didn’t really do anything active outside of school so i didn’t get any opportunities to meet anybody new. Even at school I only had a couple of friends until my dad introduced me to a sport called golf. He said it was a good way for me to meet new people and it was a fun sport. I tried golf and I met lots of new people. later that day I was enrolled into a golf program. I was kind of scared to play in front other kids but, in the end I met Lots of new people. After going to the golf class A few times I wasn't scared anymore. I felt more confident talking to other people. Even at school I became very social
He said, “When someone uses family to convince you to enlist that person is using a patriotic argument. Remember some of the greatest evil has been done in the name of country and religion. On the other hand, some of the greatest good has been done under the name of patriotism and faith.”

I vividly remember in the 9th grade when I was wrestling a kid from holt. When I woke up in the morning, it was just a normal until that night. That morning I could smell the fresh cut grass and the wet dew grass. My brother drove me to school this day, but we weren’t getting along that morning. Cody my brother face was so red I thought steam was going to come out of his head. When I got to the Ninth Grade Center I could see all my friends sitting at the tables that are all over the commons.
At the football game at Rosary High on Friday night, Chris was hanging out with his friends Tyler and Jack by the bathrooms. When the game was about to start, they all went to use the bathroom. As they were about to leave, a group of students came in and saw Jack washing his hands. One of the guys in the group named Cameron started pushing Jack between his friends and asking him “Hey fag, aren’t you in the wrong bathroom?”
Deep in Unova, a forest was alive with the sounds of bug and bird Pokémon. A newly hatched Sewaddle crawled along the branch of a tall Oran berry tree, eyeing a particularly large, juicy looking Oran berry dangling tauntingly above its head. The small bug Pokémon reached up with two of its stubby legs, resting its body weight on its remaining four. Unfortunately for the Sewaddle, the berry was still out of reach. Growing frustrated, the little Pokémon raised its body higher and stood on only two of its six legs, its body straining as it tried to reach the berry.
My father was raised in a predominantly Dominican neighborhood in Bronx, New York, home to the second largest number of Dominican people in the world after Santo Domingo. He grew up in tenement buildings in makeshift rooms divided by sheets and cardboard in the basement along with other immigrant families. He spoke only Spanish at home and at the public schools he went to. He joined the army at 17, like many other young men from his neighborhood, trying to escape the poverty, violence and limited opportunities. When he left New York, he left behind his culture. His goal was to be just an American. He set out to quickly assimilate into what he viewed as mainstream America. This included raising his children to be American first.
When I was a year old, my parents divorced. My mom was abused by my dad and he didn’t let her go to college therefore, she stayed home and had my three older siblings and I. There was a total of three girls in high school at once which meant three college tuitions that couldn’t be paid for by my mom but can be paid off if you work hard in school enough to get scholarships.
In December 2012, I dropped out of college to join the United States Navy. I left the comfort of my home where I had lived my entire life, said goodbye to my friends and family, and ventured out to accomplish my dream. What started as a passion to serve my country turned into a path of self-discovery. I would find hidden deeply in myself the innate ability to lead others and to use my voice to stand up for what I believed in. I would separate five years later with the experience of a lifetime.
There once was a salt shaker, named Saltina, who fell in love with a pepper shaker, named Pepprico. The two grew up in a grocery store down town, and began to grow rather fond of each other. Unfortunately, their love was forbidden among the spice world, but they did not care. As they grew closer and closer they decided to elope, and get married at night in the produce isle. The two eventually had an oregano child and named her Baby Spice. They kept their child hidden with their good friend, Herb, who lived in the isle next to them. The family became tired of having to live this secret life, so they decided to run away. Saltina took Baby Spice to a place where Pepprico and his wife could bring the child with them. The three would leave at the busiest store hour, so that way all the
