All throughout my life I have been told that no matter what if I can dream it I can do it. I have had an IEP throughout my middle school and high school career. Something important that I have learned is that even though I have an IEP I should not let that define my educational career or define who I am as a person. Growing up I always knew that I was going to go to college and I think that motivated me a lot in school. I discovered my sophomore year that I was really had a passion for business. I decided to take several business classes. Looking back I am really happy that I choose to take those classes because they will put me ahead of my classmates in college and the classes have taught me the important’s of team work. My educational goals
One of the two requirements from indicator 13 that is missing is the teacher did not inviting Lisette to her own IEP meeting. The teacher mentioned that the reason for not inviting Lisette was because she knew basketball practice. Regardless, indicatory 7 states that the students must be invited to their own IEP meeting where transition plans will be talked about. Their must be proof that an attempt was made to invite the student to attend the IEP transition meeting. If I was the facilitator of the meeting I would try to make an arrangement that worked with everyone schedule involved and also Lisettes. Having the student involved at the IEP transition planning is important, because there are discussions about her future and plans
For this assignment, I observed an IEP meeting for a three year old boy. The child is a three year old Hispanic boy, and his native language is Spanish. The child was receiving speech services through Early Intervention.
Discussion: The team converged at Gregory Elementary school to participate in Donte's IEP meeting. The school counselor was not aware or forgot about the meeting which they scheduled . The meeting was rescheduled for Thursday 06/15/17 at 10 am. Tammy expressed frustration with school inability to communicate effectively. Tammy reported that Donte is behaving appropriately at home and in school. She informed the team that Donte's Risperdal was D/c'd because of insatiable appetite, and significant weight gain.
I used written backups to oral instructions, using the PowerPoint slides and the white board.
The general education teacher is a teacher who has a student in her class but the special education teacher is should be a teacher of the suspected disability category who is knowledgeable about
Performance Activity 25: Attending an IEP meeting impacts student learning by how the IEP team evaluates and determine a student’s goals, accommodations, modifications, and which RTI tier the student will be in. Discussing a student’s IEP goals are designed to help the student improve on areas of improvement and to become successful. The impact on student learning when designing goals is to allow the student to be able to meet their goal and is centered around their needs. Discussing accommodations and modifications impacts student learning by the type and how many services the student receives. The type of service/s a student receives impacts how the student will meet or not meet their IEP goals and impact if student learning is evident.
Ricki-Lee Coulter, who is a popular Australian recording artist, once said “I don’t live my life seeking validation from people on social media” (“Validation Quotes”). This is a topic that can be broken down into many areas. There are so many more forms and views of validation which will be debated about in this paper. By the end of this paper, there should be an understanding of how validation affects someone psychologically and how the search for validation can be misunderstood when it comes to social media.
My White paper will focus on the benefits and disadvantages of the Telecommunication Act of 1996. Is the Telecommunications Act of 1996 good for America? This is the question my White paper will answer. On February 8th, 1996 President Bill Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act into law. Does the Telecommunication Act help or hinder the average consumer? Does the Telecommunications Act help big businesses or small businesses? Does the Telecommunications Act of 1996 create open and fair competition in America? Does the Telecommunications Act of 1996 need updating? These are a few questions my White paper will answer.

articles. Again, the search was very limited. Realizing the need to narrow the search, I then used the CINAHL Subject Headings as a component for my search. Subject Heading Search Keeping note that the keyword retrieval left me with 3,087 articles, I then used CINAHL Headings for my search. The CINAHL Heading search allows the search of literature with certain terms desired in the references. By typing “hand washing” under the CINAHL Heading and browsed, I was given terms that were related to hand washing. The terms were ranked based on the relevancy of importance related to the subject. Handwashing was the first term found and by clicking on its link, I was taken to a term detailed screen. Listed was handwashing under the “Tree View” terms, which are hierarchy groupings of subject headings. The subheadings were also found here. I chose handwashing and infection control. By clicking on the subheadings and the “Explode” link, I then gained access to articles that contained terms about handwashing or infection control. The “Explode” link is thought of as an operators of “OR”. It is used to find articles containing the keyword or other words as chosen. Once I exploded handwashing with infection control, I found myself with 1,626 articles
beginning the quantitative research report, we had to had complete an exploratory research report. This was necessary as it allowed us to see trends in relation to healthy eating. The exploratory research mainly consisted of qualitative questions as we wanted to see if there was any relationship between a cupcake and a chicken and spinach sandwich. After analyzing the results of the survey, we were able to get a better insight of the perceptions and preferences that consumers have when it comes to eating and purchasing healthy food.
Equal employment opportunity (EEO) is the concept that all individuals should have equal treatment in all employment-related actions. Several basic EEO concepts have been applied as a result of court decisions, laws, and regulatory actions. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was the first federal law designed to protect most U.S. employees from employment discrimination based upon the employee’s (or applicant’s race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. (Public Law 88-352, July 2, 1964, 78 Stat. 253, 42 U.S.C. Sec. 2000e et. Seq.). [1] The title also established the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to assist in the protection of U.S. employees from discrimination.
Standing on the corner of the street, the faint light of the lamp post shines down, as I prepare to play saxophone in front of an eager crowd. Although I am nervous, it will soon dissipate once I start playing and expressing my creativity through the notes emanating from my instrument. My love for playing the saxophone is stimulated from its ability to represent more of my personality than other activities. Playing at my neighborhood fundraiser, not only allows me to express my creativity, but also to cheer up others, and increase the holiday spirit of giving.
One of the best ways to follow a successful path is to set goals for yourself. They are important to keep yourself on task and to get to a desired point of self fulfillment. The issue can be how to achieve goals in a successful manner. The issue is "Although people may desire or intend to attain some outcome, they are not committed to that as a goal until they are willing to invest affect, cognition, and behavior in attaining it" (Traci Mann, 2013). This is why it is important to have a set path on how to accomplish important goals. I have chosen three goals that I want to accomplish to demonstrate a Process known as SMART, to help accomplish them. There goals are that I want to finally earn a college degree(personal), I want to make it
Personally, it has always been hard for me to stay organized and develop plans to achieve whatever it is I am doing if I do not have passion for it. I have always had a dislike for most of the things I have learned in school, but developed a passion for the world of business. Tony Hsieh said, “Chase the vision [or plan], not the money; the money will end up following you.” Over the past years, my intellectual development involving business has resulted in a growth of my desire to learn and succeed in school.
