On January 18, 2017 at approximately 1621 hours, I responded to a felony warrant service in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 1835 E. Main, within the City of Cortez, State of Colorado. I contacted Cortez Dispatch by phone and advised who I was attempting to serve the warrant on Jordan Hankins. I asked them to confirm the warrant while I responded. I placed Jordan in handcuffs, checked them for proper fit and double locked them for his safety. He was placed in the right rear seat of my patrol vehicle and they were double locked for his safety. Immigrants have always been a part of the United States and played a major role in building the foundation for the life in America, therefore, legal immigrants, should always be welcome granted that they come with good intentions. "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is a saying that has been associated with the country of The United States of America since its founding. That saying has infused immigrants with the idea that upon reaching this holy land, their lives will drastically change for the better. With that dream in mind, hundreds of thousands of immigrants, flock to this country to become part of its evolving culture.

I am a senior at Rush Henritta SR. High School who is currently taking a civics and citizenship class. My parents are immagrants from Somalia they came to America 20 years ago. As a second generation Immigrant. I am commited to helping other immagrants in our country. I would like our government provide a path to citizenship for undocumented immagrants. I would also like our fedral government to extend the number of visas given to skilled and farm workers. Both of these proposals would benefit the U.s economy. According to the Brush Foundation Immagrents accounted for half of our labor forces growth in the past 10 years. A quarter of us tech company are owned by immigrants and these companies created $52 billion in sales and 450,000 jobs. On our American farms, immagrants do the work that Americans do not want to do.

There are many reasons why my family decided to leave their homes in Italy and make the move to America. There were many political and religious issues, along with towns and homes being overcrowded. My family were farmers looking for a change and the unification was rural along with the land management was poor. As my family did not have a lot of cash, we could only afford to buy tickets in the cargo area of the ship. The food was horrible as we were sailing to the new land. We ate a lot of potatoes, soup, and left overs. It was food to comfort us but not what I really wanted to eat.
“I had always hoped that this land might become a safe and agreeable asylum to the virtuous and persecuted part of mankind to whatever nation they might belong” this quote is by George Washington, but A Country is for all is another quote by Jorge Ramos. Everyone of any culture should be aloud in every country they want. There shouldn't be a law that doesn't let people out of a country to find a great new start for them. In this essay we will be talking about immigrants in the late days, border crossing, and families being separated.

American was a prosperous country with incredible economic growth between the end of Reconstruction and the Great Depression. It was during this time that "industrial expansion went into high gear because increasing manufacturing efficiencies enabled American firms to cut prices and yet earn profits for financing still better equipment (Henretta 488)." During this era, the manufacturing of steel, the construction of railroads, factories, and warehouses, and the growing demand for technological advancements, increased greatly. Philanthropists, such as Andrew Carnegie, Andrew Mellon, and John D. Rockefeller, took advantage of the situation they were in by investing large sums of capital into the growing economy. Carnegie constructed
You’ve probably heard the argument line “Why don’t they just go back to their country?” or “Why don’t they just come here legally?” It isn’t that simple and most importantly, it is an ignorant opinion. When you say “Go back to your country”, it’s a lot more complicated than what your brain can handle. An issue that’s talked about a lot in our current news it the immigration crisis. The immigration process is complicated, especially in the US.
This paper develops a framework for estimating earlier illegal experiences among annual cohorts of new legal immigrants in the United States - using public-use administrative microdata alone, survey data alone, and the two joindy - and provides estimates for the FY 1996 cohort of new immigrants, based on both administrative and survey data. The procedures enable assessment of types of illegal experiences, including entry without inspection, visa overstay, and unauthorized employment. It compares its estimates of previous illegal experiences to estimates that would be obtained using administrative date alone, examining the extent of previous illegal experiences by their country of birth, immigrant class of admission, religion, and geographic
