A report was received on 06/05/2017 alleging that the mother (Hermionne) left Ashante (C-V 17) with a non-relative since 02/2017 without any legal rights. According to the report, the mother refuses to take her child back home and will not engage with Ms. Aarons (caretaker) to provide legal documentation for the child to be enroll in school and taken to a Primary Care Physician. Ashante has not been is school for the past 4 months and are unable to enroll in school without paperwork. According to the report, Ashante self mutilates her arms, and the mother refuses to get counseling. The report indicates Ashante was to follow-up with a Cardiologist for a chest pain and the mother refuses to take her to the doctor.

PER REPORTER: Marquise lives with the aunt and she possibly has other children in the home. Per reporter, Marquise has been at his home because his son is friends with Marquise. Marquise has been at the reporter's home for about 1 week. It seems that his family doesn't care about him nor are they concerned. They have not came to check on him. Reporter stated he has to feed Marquise and he can't continue to stay at his home. Reporter stated he knows the family gets assistance for him. Marquise said his father pays child support. His father is a man named Lee supposedly. Reporter stated Lee gave a number to a lady named Mary. It is unknown who Mary is. Reporter stated Marquise said he went to the home Friday and he and his cousin got into a fight.

On May 23, 2016, I was assigned this case to follow up. This case involves Ms. Anjelica Cassidy Grim a 17 year old T.C. Williams High School student. I made multiple attempts to located Anjelica at School and at 27 South French Street (home). On May 27, 2016, I spoke to Sal Gnim (mother) who reported her daughter returned home the next day. She confirmed that her daughter had been out with her boyfriend. Sal told me that they had a conversation and cleared the conflict up. Sal reported that this was the first time her daughter had runaway. I received permission from Sal to speak to her daughter in School.

The case was brought to DCFS attention when a reporter stated on 7/11/17, OPWI attempted to obtain an emergency order of protection on behalf of Kiara (age 7). Reportedly Ashley (mother) is actively using METH and also methodone she gets from a clinic, and is also involved in prostitution. Ashley told OPWI that Ashley ''can't wait outside for the bus to go to drug court because she's done bad things to people (robbed people, committed home invasion, taken people's money and drugs) and these people are after her.'' Reporter states that one of these people came to OPWI's house looking for Ashley and scared Kiara. Ashley recently got out of jail, stayed with OPWI for a couple of days, left last Friday telling Kiara she would be back in a couple of hours, didn't return

EREPORT # 19130 stated the following: The child is at Diamond Grove Center. Mya reported that 7 years ago her cousin Charron raped her when she was 8 years old. They stayed overnight with their relatives and Charron took off her clothes while they all slept in the same bed. Onautyca, Deja, her, and Charron slept in the big bed together. Mya reports thst she told her mother, but her mother didnt do anything about it. Mya reports that she sees Charron often at church or the weekends, and her mother continues to take her and her sisters around him. Two weeks ago, Mr. Knight was contacted by law enforcement with suspicions that Will stole someone’s gun and sold it. According to the reporter, the child’s father made contact with him to tell him he’d been evicted from his home and did not know where Will was. The reporter stated Mr. Knight is a truck driver and has been living in his truck; Will was left with his grandmother after they were evicted. Ms. Jordan and Will got into an argument and the child ran away from her home and the family has not been able to find the child before 08/06/15. PER REPORTER: Curlydria is learning grown folks stuff. She is popping, danching, and opening her legs. Her mother teachers her to dance inappropriately. There are concerns that the mother hits the children in the back with her fist and pops them onthe head. They have no marks or bruises. Per reporter, mom is addicted to marijuana and she constantly smokes around the children. Mom is currently pregnant. Mom purchases drugs on the street. Drugs are not accessible to the children and the children have not been harmed hurt. Reporter stated Glenntavious loves his games. Mom allows her boyfriend to play the games while Glenntavious watches. Per reporter, mom got back pay over $1,000 for food stamps. Mom couldnt have Glenntavious a birthday party.

PER REPORTER: Bryanna's father and mother have joint equal custody. The child has lived with the father apporximately 6 years in Louisiana. The mother lives in Natchez. In Louisiana, when a child turns 13 they have a choice where they want to live if it goes through the court. The father allowed the child to go live with the mother 3 months ago. Several incidents have happened at the home. The step-father drinks really bad. Last night, the step-father hit Bryanna in the face really bad. She was bleeding from the face. She possibly has a busted lip and sratches on her face. Bryanna called her dad this morning. She stated the mother and step-father had exchanged punches. REPORTER: The reporter/cousin (Sherry) called with concerns for the victim, Tanning. According to Sherry, Tanning is not being physically abused or neglected. The reporter said she is concerned and worried about the child. The reporter said Tina rides around with the child in the “front seat” (unknown when) and he’s not properly restrained (seat belt over his stomach but not his arms). Also, the reporter said she has pictures of Tina driving down the road with the child in the front seat, not properly strapped in. The reporter said Tina was the child’s godmother, but she is obsessed with the child. She asked the parents could she keep the child on Sunday (didn’t specify), and they told her yes, but she never returned the child (unknown when).

Mindy has dizzy spells, but she continues to drive with the child in the vehicle. The reporter said Mindy is not caring for the child. Mindy claims that she is sick to get rid of her child, and Gary keeps the child every night but he is not abusing or neglecting the child. The reporter was contacted at 2:08pm at 09/01/2015 for additional information. The reporter said they were suspecting abuse, but didn’t specify. The reporter was asked was she suspecting molestation, and she replied that she didn’t want to say something that wasn’t true. The reporter never gave a clear answer to what she was alleging. The reporter said Jessica (teacher) has been very concerned about Harmony. Harmony transferred to Mooreville Elementary on 08/24/2015, and she has been arriving to school late (10:30am). It is unknown how many times the child has been tardy/late. The teacher (Jessica) spoke with Wendy about the victim being late for school, and she said “the child will be on time and they were in the process of moving”.
