In this report I am going to be discussing different types of digital technology, all of which have majorly evolved in recent years, and are always being used in today’s events industry. Examples of digital technologies include: video mapping, podcasts, lighting and sounds. In this report I am going to focus on the evolution of video mapping and social media, and how it is used within different types of events.

Dan Klein is an AV Director of a third party AV company called PSAV. PSAV is a global company with about 1,300 venues and last year the business was involved in about 1.5 million events. However, most of Dan’s business is completed at the Osthoff Resort, where last year he did Audio and Visual set-ups for about 400 events. This number does not include other events he and worked outside of the Osthoff Resort. Dan was a great speaker for this class because he gave an awesome insider’s view of the AV industry.
