The boldness that is shown in Acts is from the Lord. We can see this throughout the book. The Lord is always at the center and tells his people to be bold and stand up for what is right, and to preach his gospel. The Lord gives the people boldness to spread his name and teach others about Him. The purpose of the boldness that God shows is that we are to be his witnesses and we have to show others the profound greatness of His word and works. The boldness we read about in the book of Acts is encouragement for the church today because we can see that if we are bold and go out of our comfort zone, we will be rewarded and the communion of saints will be rewarded. It shows that we are not to stay in our small shell or our small circle of believers, but we are to go out into the world and be bold and eager to spread the word of the Lord.
The first example of boldness that is going to be discussed is Acts 4: 13. In this passage it says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” In this passage it shows that people are being bold because the people around them can tell. In this text it says, “For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!” This connects to the main idea because even when Paul was on house arrest in Rome he still acted boldly by proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. It is not easy to preach the word of God in places where he is hated. There needs to be lots of boldness,
