In conclusion, I believe that I am deserving of this scholarship because I am a focused, experienced, and well rounded student who has many more goals to achieve. This is justified by my past actions and my plans for the future. I am goal oriented and driven, making me the best candidate for this scholarship.
I deserve this scholarship because I am hard working and it wouldn’t be a waste of money on some dumb teenager and because my parents don’t have a lot of money, but I also deserve it because I want to go to college to be a police officer and protect the american people, change how police officers are looked at and so I can serve justice to people who deserve
I believe I should be awarded this scholarship because I have great leadership and many other great characteristics. I helped raise awareness of obesity in our county to help in getting our percentage back down. I mentored younger children that came from low-wage families on why it was so important to eat right and get an adequate amount of activities, as well as rest each and every day. I did this by using the "GO, SLOW, WHOA" program to make it easier for kids to understand what foods are "go" foods which you can eat as much as you want, which foods are "slow" foods which are foods you should only eat every now and then, and which food is "whoa" foods which you should try to avoid this foods when ever possible. After we presented our presentation
There are four ingredients that make up the foundation for someone’s virtue. Without these factors combining together, either the individual’s foundation will be weak or it will eventually crumble and disintegrate. These ingredients include: honor, service, courage and leadership.
Athletics has helped shape who I am as a student and as a person. To be selected for the Carl Montavon Memorial Scholarship would be a great honor that I would feel privileged to receive. Carl Montavon was a huge supporter of athletics among high school students, and I am as well for multiple reasons. Not only have the sports that I have participated in helped me physically and socially, but educationally as well. Participating in multiple sports helped motivate me to keep up my GPA for future college recruiting, and fueled my competitive drive into striving and succeeding to become valedictorian of my high school’s graduating class. Athletics taught me responsibility and respect. Not only do I value others opinions, but I make sure
I believe that I deserve to be selected for the Diboll High School Alumni Association Scholarship because I am a dedicated student who takes every opportunity to further myself academically and will put the scholarship to great use. Not only do I hold myself to high academic standards, I constantly make an effort in giving back to my community.
I am the most deserving of the Bryan Durkin Memorial Scholarship simply because I am committed to furthering my education, and have shown that commitment in many different ways throughout my high school career.
I believe I should be awarded a senior secondary academic scholarship because as stated above, I fulfil all the necessary criteria and exceed the required attendance and academic standards for this scholarship. Because of this I feel that I am deserving of this scholarship.
I work hard for what I want and what that is now is to get a college degree from Marshall University. I believe I should be selected to receive this scholarship because not only am La dedicated student academically, I am also devoted to helping my community through community service. I hope that I will be able to use my education to give back to my community in someway. Education is a major key to success not only in the workforce but in life in general, because it is the one thing that no one can take away from me. To receive this scholarship would give be a greater chance to be successful in my
National Honor Society is more than a club I am apart of, it has given me the motivation to strive to keep my grades at a certain level, keep up with community service, treat others with respect, and also conduct myself in a mature manner. The National Honor Society Scholarship would help fund my schooling at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida.
This $500.00 scholarship was awarded to students with good academic standing and a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Pushing for athletic scholarships, whether it be the student or the parent, are some of the main concerns, however, there are plenty of other scholarships worth competing to get. For instance, academic scholarships are plentiful and many students work vigorously to achieve these. Parents also place great pressures on their students to be superior academically to be eligible for these scholarships. While there is nothing wrong with pushing high schoolers to achieve their best, there must be a limit on what is reasonable as far as pushing them. When it comes to risking a child’s health to earn a college scholarship, the risk is not reasonable.
I am deserving of the SAO scholarship because of my personal development in multiple areas. I have overcame many obstacles that helped me become the person I am today. Growing up, I was a quiet and studious child. I always took school very seriously, but was limited socially. It took me years of being breaking out of my comfort zone to help me get to a better place. This breaking out of my comfort zone led me to a path of self-discovery.
I should be the recipient of this scholarship because I have worked hard throughout my high school career so that I could be accepted in to the college of my choice and pursue a career in nursing. Since I have been accepted to my chosen college, I am now trying to pay for my college education with the fewest amount of student loans possible. With the help of this scholarship I would be able to take some of the stress of paying for college off of my parents and I.
Being that I'm currently applying for scholarship after scholarship, I found the "How to Write Scholarship-Winning Essays" (https://www.nitrocollege.com/blog/how-to-write-scholarship-winning-essays) article to be very helpful. I do not plan on taking out any loans, so every tip on how to help better my chances for a scholarship is very useful. The first tip that caught my eye was "read rules carefully". Mainly because it's common for many people, including myself to not read rules carefully. I was not aware that something as simple as going a few words over the word count could dis-qualify you from the competition. The other tip that caught my eye was "read the essays of former winners". I never really thought to do this and after reading the
For me, receiving the Excellence Scholarship is an opportunity that would allow me to pursue the Bachelor’s degree program at École Polytechnique. Without the scholarship, it would be financially difficult for my family to fund my education and considering the fact that I intend to join academia, incurring a massive debt at this stage of my education might deter me from even pursuing a Ph.D. later on. Thus, to a large extent, the monetary benefits of the scholarship would relieve me of the financial pressures and this, in turn, would allow me to pursue my current research interests in Mathematics and Physics with undivided attention.
