Oscar Wilde states that, “It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion.”. Many people, and it does not matter what kind of person they are, go through disobedience. It is something that they cannot get out from because it is in everyday of our lives. Wilde explains that this can give progress to some factors in life, and am sure that it can be used for the good. When people are are disobedient, they can learn from their bad habits that they created, but also can see there is good progress that came out of it. Disobedience and rebellion are traits that nobody likes in some people. Reason is because the people who have these traits tend to act out of control or over use their power. For example, both traits had many roles in wars because some soldiers did not listen to their captains because they wanted to attack their own way. In the book, “The Great Gatsby”, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, a character in the book named Daisy goes through these traits of being disobedient and rebellious. This trait helps Daisy to find out what she really wants in life, her husband or her first true loves. She plays around to see which is right for her but when chaos begins and the man Daisy was having an affair with died.
