Mark Twain once said “Loyalty to the country always. Loyalty to the government when it deserves it.” An example of when loyalty to the government went too far was during the Holocaust, people followed Hitler seeking help because he told them he would help them out of the Treaty Of Versailles. Hitler kept many people not informed about the atrocious things he was doing, so they followed him blindly thinking he was helping them. Nevertheless, people were kept oblivious about Hitler killing Jews and restricting them from everyday things, even though Hitler hurt and discriminated, people still followed him. However before one is loyal to another, they have to make sure they completely know them so one doesn’t blindly follow them. If you stay loyal all the time, one could become the person they are loyal to. For instance, if they have certain ideas that they follow and their ideas are not the same as the other person, however, one might still stay loyal to them, it could ruin a relationship if someone adds their input in. Too much loyalty can hurt, while too little can make a person feel vulnerable. An example Of loyalty gone too far from The Wave is when David stayed got “brainwashed” and ended up giving Laurie a contusion. After that, she forgave him, although they both decided it had gone too extreme and furthermore, needed to stop. …show more content…
If you’re always loyal, the chances of maturing are very meager because you are accustomed always following someone. This could become dangerous along with being unhelpful in life when someone is assigned to do something on their own. Or, if someone tells you to complete a task without any help. One could suffer consequences. In the Wave, Robert Billings got absorbed in the Wave, just like David and they both lost

The twentieth century is the century with the greatest loss of human life in the history of civilization. It was a time of mistrust and espionage. To be loyal is defined as “faithful to one's oath, commitments, or obligations” (OED). It is not easily given, yet it can easily be lost. Two books, The Human Factor by Graham Greene and The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro show that some loyalties are bought, while others are earned. Earned loyalty tends to last while loyalty that is bought tends to fade. Through the characters Stevens and Castle, they demonstrate this difference. While both characters demonstrate external loyalty, Stevens’ loyalty was purchased, and Castle’s was earned. Castle’s genuine loyalty allows him to risk his life, while Stevens’ loyalty is only compliance.
This is what happened to Queen Gertrude. She was loyal to her husband Claudius, but this turned out to be a fatal mistake. It is important to choose who you give your loyalty to very carefully because it can cost you your life. King Hamlet made this same mistake when he was loyal to Queen Gertrude. He believed that she was loyal too, but she was cheating on him with his brother. This leads to the Claudius assassination of King Hamlet. The danger of giving other people your loyalty is that you don’t know what their real intentions
Without it, it would be like a broken down home with no one willing to built it back up. No one to care for it, and no one to repair it. How could anyone have a relationship without loyalty, I just don’t see that happening. I once had a friendship that wasn’t so loyal or trustworthy, and none of us could trust each other, afraid that the other had spilled a huge secret or just waiting for the time when one of us would eventually stab each other in the back. It was horrible I couldn’t possibly tell you how horrifying that felt, not being able to trust anyone with the smallest things just because I was afraid it would get out. After a while I saw that this friendship was going nowhere, it had absolutely no direction whatsoever. I had to let it go it wasn’t healthy, I knew for certainty that this wasn’t a friendship built off of loyalty and trust it was more like a foolish game I kept playing with no end. I believe loyalty is important from what I’ve hear and from my past
Loyalty at its essence is about sticking with one another. It means that we strongly intend to keep the relationship
Loyalty between two things can help them gain a trust. However if one decides to abuse that trust, then the loyalty between the two things is broken. Resembling the relationship of Boxer and Napoleon. Boxer trusted Napoleon. Boxer's motto was, " I will work harder, Napoleon is always right." Sadly within this

There are many reasons to be loyal to your partner. People think it would be okay to cheat on their partner just once but it is not okay. There are many consequences to cheating. Cheating causes break ups and possible hatred. Other people do not like people that cheat and in some
Loyalty to strangers is one of the many different kinds of loyalty. We have all showed loyalty to strangers at least once. When people follow rules somewhere either at school, work etc. This shows loyalty. Loyalty doesn’t only earn
For all of these reasons I believe that known one in our times can even consider that they are going to be loyal to anyone not even to there self's. What is loyalty, is it something that you are born with? I think that people learn to be loyal to each other, but they do not do a good job of it they act a certain way but deep down in side they don't like to kiss another persons butt so they are not being loyal, not even to there self's. What is loyalty it is a characteristic that shows how much you will do to help someone else you rarely do it to benefit yourself. You will give up anything to serve another person even if you don't know them like the national guard they are always going into disaster zones to help people, giving the people that need help what ever they want.
Fidelity is faithfulness to a person, cause or belief demonstrated by continuing loyalty and support. It seems that we as humans strive to obtain a sense of fidelity, yet they cannot when it comes to their relationships with others. Individuals are incapable of remaining committed in relationships. This has been proven through not only psychological research, but in literature as well.
One time I had to choose between being loyal and disloyal was when my parents were getting a divorce. I could have chosen to be loyal to one parent and disloyal to the other. I felt it best to stay loyal to both parents because I couldn’t bring myself to be disloyal to my parents. Although this hasn’t had any noticeable consequences I believe it will in the future once I have to decide one house to stay at full time. This will prove to be a difficult decision for me but, I am confident that I can make the correct decision. Another time I had to be loyal was when I was in 5th grade. I had to be loyal to a friend or my brother. I was with some friends and they started making fun of my brother. I decided to be loyal to my brother and leave the situation and effectively stop being friends with them. A consequence of this situation was that I lost some friends, but to me it was okay because if they could not respect my family then we should have been friends anyway. Some consequences end up leading to greener
