“ Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it” (anonymous). This quote speaks to me on many levels because of the message it displays and how some of my experience in challenging moments in my life help me grow. Most of these moment had happened during seventh grade through ninth grade and were issues that I had when my mother had just came out from rehab from being a drug abuser. Some of the things that I was struggling with were trust issues and other obstacles that had happen during this time . For example, the biggest problem I had was I could never trust anyone and at the time I didn’t see how it was affecting me and the people around me. It made not wanna be around people it was like a wall between me and people I cared truly for and I couldn’t knock it down. My trust issues were so bad that …show more content…
Talking to my mother was like talking to a stranger who knows nothing about you a person you just meet when in reality it a person who took care of you who raised you and yet that bound was not there. My mother always told me to take the counseling I was given and to talk on how I felt but I felt why could I just tell her spit the word up and tell her how I felt. I later started to express my feeling in a creative way like art and poetry and it was like my counseling and it helped me to be able to open up to her. I remember the day i told her how her new change was affecting me and what was really going on with me and how I was happy for her if was one of the greatest feeling to be able to tell her A feeling like I had no been carrying the weight of the world on my shoulder. Now I know that I can tell my mom anything that she will always have my back and show me unconditional
Obstacles are hard to overcome but the only thing really stopping people is fear. There are two people, Andrew and Katie, who had huge obstacles coming their way. One of them may have a bigger obstacle, but they both overcome it. Andrew had to deal with public speaking, and Katie had to deal with basketball. Either way, they both had to overcome it and succeeded.
Reflecting on all the times in my life that I have had to overcome obstacles there is a long list of mishaps, lessons learned and many other adventures. The top one of the list is going through US Navy boot camp, which consisted of basically being torn down and built back up. In short you are told that the way you have always learned things from as early age is the wrong way and there is only one way the Navy way.
Overcoming obstacles that inevitably enter into your life can be a tricky to cope with. Life is all about setting goals, finding oneself, and achieving what you love to do. Whether that is being a drug dealer, similar to David Clark, from the film We’re the Millers or losing everything suddenly, like Tammy from the film Tammy. Unexpected obstacles arise circumstantially between the two protagonist, however the bumps in their path leads them to a connection that they will have for the rest of their lives. Both of the lives come to a draw because of their bosses.
“They never said it was easy, they said it would be worth it.” This quote means that everything in life is going to be hard; in the end, it will all be worth it. Think about it as a subject at school it may be boring, but it will be worth it in the future. So if you're having a hard time in life this quote can help you, and believe me I was in your shoes one day.
Life. these four short letters describe something so big. It describes our whole past and our whole future. It describes every sad moments that we have been though and every happy moments that we have experienced. Most importantly, it describes our obstacles which have created our paths to the bright future and some day we will foresee these obstacles. I have failed many times in my Life and also have faced many obstacles whether it was losing a though game of basketball to having trouble coming to America. I overcame these obstacles by finding out my mistakes and learning from them. Finding out what was bringing me down and finding a solution to that problem in systematic way.
Overcoming Obstacles Obstacles are inevitable and show up in the daily lives of everyone. It is, however, the way one manages these obstacles that will decide how much success and accomplishments they receive. Challenges may come up, but they can be controlled by persistence, ambition, and determination. Someone’s dream and the specific challenges may be different than those in this poem, but the message can apply to anyone. In “As I Grew Older,” by Langston Hughes, the poet uses symbolism, tone, and repetition to teach readers that in order to achieve a goal one must fight through any given obstacle.
When talking about the word “wall” as a verb, the definition describes it as something protecting an enclosed area to bring privacy. Add the word “cement” in the front of it and it becomes an object characterized as strong, sturdy, and thick to block out any light. But, the idea that we can solve problems by building this cement wall in our heads may make or break relationships. Struggles are mean and awful things to face. Some worse than others.
Overcoming an Obstacle Obstacles are something that every person is faced with at some point in their life. When faced with an obstacle you really only have two options. You choose to let the problem you are facing take you down or you choose to overcome the obstacle and become a better person because of it. In my life, I can remember a time that I was faced with an obstacle that about broke me.
Facing obstacles is very hard to overcome It might seem impossible, but there are people who have overcome some of the most difficult challenges ever. A great amount of people have gone through similar things but end up with a different response every time. They overcome these obstacles by keeping a positive attitude, facing their problem, and accept who they are. First, overcoming adversity needs lots of patience, so keeping a good attitude is important. A young female named Aimee Mullin shows the importance of containing a positive attitude.
The obstacle I think was most difficult was Nick Vujicic and how he was born without this seems the most difficult to me because he had to deal with people looking at him strangely, being bullied in school for being different, after he wanted to commit suicide because he didn’t fit in. He also had the obstacle of teaching himself how to do certain daily procedures like brushing his teeth and getting dressed. He got through it all by staying positive and making everyone, not give up by seeing him and how hard it must be for him. While he overcame all this on his own, didn't complain or go negative,he saw the beauty in life and helped others see it top. He tried prosthetics, but after months of trying,he decided not to because it limited his movement
During this gap, I vividly remember my life taking a complete one hundred eighty degree turn. Initially, I was not the same person I am today as I recall. Previously there seemed to be more life in me as I enjoyed social interactions amongst others. Additionally, I was ambitious with my education as my work habits were amazing. It was not until my father departed to Mexico that I began to question life and began to lose myself. Performing poorly in school and not interacting much was the outcome of his leave. Having no answers to the many questions I had allowed me to finally mature to the person I have
Not everyone can overcome obstacles. Most people don't have that strive to fight through things. Me for example I really don't know how to get through difficult obstacles. I will see him cry and hope everything gets better. But I do know this one person I love watching on Hulu who can overcome almost anything.
I have faced many obstacles in my life and have been through many hardships. However, I always overcome them in one way or another. For example, when I first walked the halls of Harlingen High School I entered as a shy but ambitions freshman with a lot of friends and unfortunately a lot of enemies. I was always put down due to play playing ability in band. I constantly tried to get better and better and that’s when freshman region auditions came along. I was excited to be able to actually compete with others so I can finally prove myself to my peers and teachers. I stumbled through my pre-audition and wasn’t able to audition and that killed me inside. I practiced so hard to not be able to audition. Although I was never any good I decided to
Everybody has their own past and gone through their own personal obstacles. Some choose to live or not live again. I chose to live again and not let a jerk or alleged “step dad” ruin my life. He ruined my life by taking my mom away, screaming, and traumatizing my life by physically and mentally hurting me. He was someone I thought I could trust, but he easily broke that six years ago. He came into my world when I was around eight years old, started forming the trust, “loving” my mom, but slowly started demolishing the “trust” by breaking us down one by one.
No obstacle is too large to overcome. “We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.” I ask myself, how I can convert pain into personal value. I can begin with these questions: • What is the outcome I hope to achieve? • What other options do I have?
