Persuasive speech outline for Club Rainbow
1. Attention
Whilst you are going about your daily life, do you ever wonder if anyone else is struggling for their last breath? At this very point, there could be one person with unfulfilled dreams who would be at a hospital being operated on. Imagine if you were the unlucky one, your family would be devastated and crying. Well, you are a fortunate one, being able to study and learn something new each day. As for me, I would like to give to kids who are less fortunate, who struggle with everyday tasks. I want to give them something positive in their lives: support.
Good Afternoon Mrs. Nair and my fellow classmates. Today, I am going to talk about the organization: Club Rainbow. I will share some

Volunteering can make a real difference. There are many major illnesses affecting rainbow children such as blood disorders, congenital heart disease, bone marrow failure and chronic asthma. These chronic illnesses have impaired their physical, social, and mental health to a great extent. The children have to persevere each and every day to cope with their illnesses and its effects just so to lead a normal life.
Club Rainbow is a charity which provides intensive help to children. There are many Rainbow Children with dreams of their own, maybe not all of their wishes can be fulfilled but if we work together, I’m sure that we can make some of these dreams come true.
There is one thing in common within them: All of them are suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and they have limited time left to fulfill whatever they want to do. Children’s wishes are simple, may it be just visiting the Singapore Zoo, or just an ordinary picnic with their family. With your help and support, I’m sure that these small wishes of the children can come true.
Moving on, I would tell you all about how you can help this organization.

It will be held from 10am to 930 pm. I would like all of you to join me in this fundraising carnival.
4. Visualization
With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. It may also be difficult to donate since all of you does not have a stable income, but if you would just save up your Christmas presents and some of your money, you can make a difference to the children. The benefits of volunteering are huge to you, and your community. Unpaid volunteers are often the glue that pull a community together. Volunteering allows you to associate with your community and make it a better place. Even if you help out with the smallest tasks, it can make a real difference to them and the organizations in need.
Doing volunteer is very meaningful and interesting, and it can be an energizing escape from your daily routine. You can finally loosened up from your excessive amount of work in this city and do a good cause in the meantime. Volunteering also provides you with improved creativity and vision that can motivate you and carry over into your personal and professional life.
5.
The first reason you should volunteer is that it betters the community around you. You can live in the most beautiful city in the world but would not want to live there it was dirty because of a lack of people caring about littering or if there were large amounts of homeless and hungry people because no one volunteered to help build a house or volunteer at a soup kitchen
Volunteering gives me the opportunity to be there for someone and to change people’s lives including my own. Volunteering to me is a way of giving back to the community or someone in need of help. For as long as I can remember I have always had the passion for helping people especially children and the aged, thus my interest in nursing. Any opportunity to perform an act of kindness made me happy that at least I could be of help to someone. From taking care of my siblings and cousins, babysitting, helping friends and among others. Of the many goals I have in life the most important one is to provide help to those in need through my commitment of service. I volunteered at a daycare school closer to me and
This means, for every dollar donated to this worthwhile cause, $ .76 of that dollar is directed to filling the dreams of a terminally ill child. As with any worthwhile charity, money is not the only driving force. Volunteers, sometime famous stars, contribute their time and talent to filling the wish of terminally ill children. For example, on January 25, 2011, Make-A-Wish teamed up with the NFL to provide 13 children, from Belgium and 10 U.S. states their lifelong dream of seeing the Super Bowl. Each recipient, and their families, were provided a jam packed weekend that included time at the Dallas World Aquarium, Cowboys Stadium and finally seeing Super Bowl 45 live and in person. Yet dreams like this take more than just money, they take the time and commitment of many people focusing on the same cause. As a matter of fact one volunteer, Cindy Sampson knows all about what Make-A-Wish families face, because she has been there before. In 2006 Make-A-Wish granted a wish for her daughter Lois who suffered from a rare chromosome disorder. Cindy said that having her daughters wish granted was a powerful experience and since then she has happily volunteered her time at the Central and Northern Florida chapter helping to bring other wishes to families in need. This generous foundation makes it possible for parents to relax, if only for a moment, and see their child experience pure joy and happiness. The “ripple effect” of wish granting is
Diversity Club takes a big part and pride of their school and themselves. They do many things to help the community like food drives and the ‘Trunk or Treat’ event. The food drive they hosted was able to go to those who need a little at home and not have any empty stomachs at the end of the day. As one of their many things they want to succeed in during the school year, it showed how they will try to give back to the community as much as possible. The club also gave the children a fun and safe sres to pass out candy and get loads of compliments on their costumes in ‘Trunk Or Treat’.
In the summer of 2010, Little Red Scarf staffs and volunteers held the first “Little Red Scarf Camp” to provide beneficiaries with a chance to learn about awareness and most importantly, help them build self-confidence. Children took classes, played games, and climbed a mountain – something they would never have been able to do before. Now these children not only have a healthy heart, but also the potential for joy in life. The camp is held once a year as we accompany the children’s
The point for volunteering is to build relationships, problem solve, what to do in a conflict situation, and step outside of my comfort zone. Let me tell you, I have learned to do each and every single one of those. I realized that the kids from the rec. center are in need of someone who they can look up to and a dependable person who they can count on. For example, I was looking after a group of kids that needed help with homework and when walking around I hear a conversation
1. New program to help people become involved. Time sensitive. Please see attached. Also, short video to help you show others.
We spent many hours a week planning events and creating ways for young people's voices could be heard. Some of these issues include poverty within our own communities and across the world. We also raise awareness and fight against segregation and exclusion in schools and in the workplace in order to create a positive environment. Being a part of this group has helped me improve my skills in the areas of organization, planning and interacting with people to achieve one common goal that will help me in the workplace. It was my way of making a difference in our school and community and be a part something bigger than just
My friend Rebecca almost died several times in her life. Children like her need the motivation to help fight for their lives. The Make-A-Wish program motivates children by granting wishes to those children who suffer from a deadly disease like my friend, Rebecca. Rebecca was born with two deadly diseases; Spina Bifida, and Turner’s Syndrome. Spina Bifida is a disease where a baby has a hole in his/her spine. Turner’s Syndrome causes shortness, heart defects, and infertility. According to Make-A-Wish’s website, their mission is to change the lives of the kids they serve. In 2015, Rebecca’s sister-in-law stated Rebecca was again seriously ill. Offering Rebecca a wish, Make-A-Wish bestowed it, and the family accepted the wish to give Rebecca a goal to motivate her to recuperate and leave the hospital. Make-A-Wish began in the 1980’s, and grants kids’ wishes every 35 minutes. The program has granted more than 180,000 wishes! I will talk about the first child, Chris, who asked for a wish, Rebecca's life, and about her wish. Here's Chris’s story.
Many schools need to push students to participate in volunteering services to receive their high school diploma. By students being part of an active role in the community, they are capable of becoming responsible leaders, learning new things, and helping those in need in their community. Volunteering is beneficial to students because it helps them become more mature and it helps them get ready for the real world. Students need to help the community whether it is forced or not.
Unlike other charities that just support children physically. Most charities just support kids with physical problems such as the American Red Cross. According to research from redcross.org their values do not include caring for a child's emotions (The American National Red Cross, web). A story from wish.org states that Allan a 17 year old male wished to be a car designer. This wish came true and a quote from Allan states, ““All I have to say is thank God that I’m here to tell you where I came from – a lot of agony and pain. But this is everything I have dreamed of, that got me through,” Allan says. “I thank the Lord for giving me another day to live my dreams. And I thank each of you for your generosity.””(M-A-W,web). This is how much a single wish supports a child emotionally through their hardest times. So if you are a sick child and want to find a charity that will support you in multiple ways I suggest you go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of
Volunteering is good for the mind, body, and soul. For some of us, it is hard to find the time. Becoming creative and doing what you deem a little can be BIG for another. Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent questions is “What are you doing for others?”
Volunteering in your community helps solve many dilemmas in your community that descend through the eyes of government and social agencies (Everything you ever wanted to know about volunteering).
Do you remember what you felt the first time you met a Rainbow Girl, Grand Officer or your first GWA? Take a moment and think about you felt. Were you happy? Did you feel welcomed? It is a wonderful feeling that floods your heart with happiness the first time you make a new friend but not just any friend, a lifelong friend. We as Rainbow Girls need to make sure that we are always striving to make a dynamic impression on pledges and prospects because they are our future. The next time you meet a prospect or a pledge, share your enthusiasm about Rainbow and most of all make them feel important and accepted. Welcome these future Rainbow Girls with open hearts a outstretched arms. May you too plant that important seed that will continue
It gives me immense pleasure to be here this evening and to address the young students of the Rainbow Concept School on the occasion of its Annual Day function of the school. The Rainbow concept School has been established by Dr. A. Madhusudhan Reddy very thoughtfully for an overall growth of a child and to integrate his academic excellence with his personality development.
