Just some of the duties as Chief Legislator xx-xx) His bills will then be passed through Congress and if they agree to his bill it is sent back to the President for him to sign off on for it to become a law. However, not all bills are made through the process he helps oversee Congress’s decisions and helps advise them on their lawmaking ideas. The sixth role is Leader of the Political Party, he must keep track of how people feel about his policies and laws he carries out with. Obama is a democrat and will often help other democrats in time of elections by endorsing their campaigns, he is also the leader of the entire Democrat population as long as he is President so it is his duty to try to also satisfy Republicans, because they often have different views on the way things should be done. Obama’s last and final role is as Chief Citizen this another role that is important because it’s what shows to the public eye. As Chief Citizen the President should be a role model who everyone can trust and look up to, he represents the country as a whole but also makes us look good when it comes to other countries. He must realize he sets the bar and the bar must be high, the President can’t be selfish because he must think of everyone.
Governors The role of a governor is often complex and requires the ability to have vision, high energy, and leadership, in order to be successful. (Harrington 2008) Governors’ responsibilities are quite diverse. Often the most visible politician on the state, many governors have gone to be some of the most influential leaders in American history. Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, and Franklin Roosevelt, were all governors, prior to becoming President of the United States of America. Governors provide leadership in their states in the forms of Chief of State, setting agenda’s, leader of public opinion, crisis manager, party chief, state military chief, judge, and administrator.
Captain Frank Ramsey The concept of power is an applicable leadership concept. Leaders use power to decipher whether they have the ability to acquire the commitment or obedience from their workers/officers. Leaders that are educated or trained under the old-paradigm, have low levels of expectations of others around them, and tend to use
the same approach to running education. School governors have a large say of this. They do not need any special qualifications or experience; however it is most important for the governor to have certain qualities such as an interested in the welfare of the children and the school and to be prepared to give their time and effort when required. They tend to meet once or twice per term and discuss the school the business such as things like finance and curriculum issues. It is expected that they make 1 visit per year to school during the day and attend at least one training day per year as well. All governors undergo a CRB check, they can also claim for expenses such as travelling to meetings, training days and in some cases childcare. They usually hold the post for 4 years. All schools have the following.
I. Explain the Texas legislative process including the difference between senators and representatives, the role of statewide elected offices, and the public. The Texas legislative mirrors the federal in a couple of ways and one of them is that it is composed of two chambers. The two chambers are the House
In Texas the highest elected executive office is the Governor. The governor serves as the chief executive of state and his term lasts for four years. To become governor one must be thirty years old, have been a resident of Texas for five years, be a United States resident at
Chris Christie ends his race of the 2016 White House Bid For months, Chris Christie has failed to grab national headlines (Philip Elliot). According to critics, Chris Christie is not the leader that people want in office. Chris acknowledged where he stood and called it quits in the presidential race. Chris Christie bowed out of the presidential race because of poor governing, low popularity, and continuous scandals (Steve Benen). These issues made it clear that Chris Christie was not the right guy for the job.
Both, the president and the California governor are the Chief Legislators in their jurisdiction. In U S Congress, the president plays a vital role in getting the bills passed by encouraging the Congress to pass a certain bill. The governor of California is also mandated with the task of law making and ensuring that the necessary bills are passed. The
The framers wanted the future governor to not hold an excessive amount of power for “many regarded state government as oppressive and corrupt.” (Champagne). No longer would the governor by themselves be able to remove elected officials, appoint numerous offices, and impose martial law on counties. Instead, the power would be spread out and many appointed offices would become elected ones. The following powers were retained by the Governor: appointments to boards and commissions (if not elected), shared budget making, appropriation line item veto, call up special sessions, call-up National Guard and limited clemency. The lieutenant governor holds significant authorities as well, to include: 1st in line to succeed, president & deciding vote of the Senate, appoint all senate committee chairs, assign bills to committee and when a bill comes to a vote, a member of redistricting board, and chair of the legislative budget board. The Senate establishes the lieutenant governors authorities at the start of each legislative session. Though at first glance the lieutenant governor seems to have more power based on what was taken away from the governor position in 1876, their power “can easily be taken away by the state senators.”(Philpott). Thus, the position of lieutenant governor seems fairly unstable with the rules possibly changing every odd-numbered
I would recommend Joe smith to be a lieutenant governor! A lieutenant governor is the representative of the queen in saskatchewan, and I think Joe smith has the ability/strength. The Lieutenant Governor acts on the advice of the Premier and the government, but has the right to advise, to encourage, and to warn,
The Governor has a tough job because he is tasked with managing a budget that he is given each year, to save money and to also help the citizens of Indiana. It doesn’t matter which option that he makes someone will be mad that either he didn’t care about
The Governor, as defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary, is a person who is the leader of the government of a state or a province. They come into power by popular election within each state, and their terms last for four years, excluding New Hampshire and Vermont. The largest, and
Governors are the main political actors virtually in all states. The governor sets the agenda, determining which policy issues will be pursued and how the state budged will look. Like the president, the governor commands the lion’s share of political attention in a state, is generally seen as setting the agenda for the legislative branch. The governor is also the figure to most likely appear on television on a regular basis. The primary roles of the governor are those of chief legislator and chief executive. The governor must also serve the largely symbolic role of chief of state on an ongoing basis. Other roles include crisis manager, chief judge, chief of party, inter governmental liaison, and military chief. They can also veto state bills,

Interviewing a few of moderators in this community gave insight into how it operated. One member of the group noted two key roles involved in running the administrative side of the community. These two roles may sound similar, but they have striking differences that make their variation requisite to the success of the community. The higher of the two being the “Administrative,” position or the admin for short. The second role is the “Moderator,” or mod. During normal operation, these roles share many of the same responsibilities of each other. That is, until one important event causes the significant schism to occur. This event is known as, “high time.”
