Jose Bautista isn’t playing with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018

For many baseball fans, and for Toronto Blue Jays fans in particular, Jose Bautista is the face of the franchise. He was signed to the Jays in 2008 and has been a staple and foundational player both on the field and off of it. So, it was heartbreaking, but not completely unexpected, to learn that the Jays won’t be picking up Bautista’s option.
Goodbye Bautista
Jose Bautista joined the Blue Jays franchise in 2008. He was traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates and played his first full season with the Jays in 2009. Over the past eight years he has become one of the bedrock players for the Jays, and fans love him. However, baseball is a business, and

He has stated that he has every intention of continuing to play. At the end of this season he’ll be on the open market, so he could end up playing anywhere. There are some questions about where he’ll fit in with a team because he’s older, and his batting average this past year wasn’t great. He also had 170 strikeouts, which is a Jays record.

Always a Blue Jay
Wherever Bautista goes next, he told MLB.com that he’d like to finish his career as a Blue Jay. The Jays haven’t ruled that out either. The club has said that he’ll be honored and celebrated, but whether that’s him coming back to play at some point, or having a special celebratory event, or both, no one quite knows as of yet.

To the fans of the Toronto Blue Jays, Jose Bautista will always be one of them. While there isn’t any sentiment in the business of baseball, there certainly is in the sport itself. He’s a favorite and he’s done a lot for the team and for the city that he’s come to call home. He’ll always be welcomed in Toronto with open arms, and he’ll always be remembered for that game five bat
Bryce Harper is the player that you love to have on your own team, but opponents can't stand him! He might have a swagger that annoys opponents, but he is one heck of a baseball player and this year he is breaking out to the superstar everyone expected! He is just 22 years of age and he is one of the most feared hitters in baseball. He has battled injuries to start his career because of what some have termed too much hustle, but this year he has put all together. He is hitting .331 27 home runs and 64 runs batted in the no question NL MVP at this point in the season. He might rub fans and opponents the wrong way but he is fun to watch play baseball I just wish as a Braves fan he was in a different division.
If I haven’t changed your opinion I don’t care because it’s yours. But if you ever didn’t like Jackie Robinson I hope you look at him in a different way now. In conclusion I think that Jackie Robinson is one of the best players to play in the MLB in multiple
Yadier Molina who was born on July 13th in the year of 1982 is a Puerto Rican baseball player that has found his way to the MLB and has really made a mark on the game. ("Yadier Molina." Famous Birthdays. N.p., n.d. Web. 08 Mar. 2016.) Molina was born in Bayamon Puerto Rico and grew up with his father Benjamin Molina, his mother Gladys Matta Molina, and then his two brothers Bengie and Jose. Yadi’s father was a ameture catcher in Puerto Rico but also worked as a toolsman too. Baseball was in the family for a long time and that is all that him and his brothers knew growing up which would explain why they all three made a professional career out of it. Both his brothers Bengie and Jose ended up being major league catchers as well, but nothing like their brother Yadier. They all knew he had something special growing up and playing as a kid. Molina never really focused on the catching
Just 24 years old with a bright future that would have surely ended in an induction into Cooperstown, his life was cut short when he was involved in a boating accident with two friends early Sunday. Fernandez, who recently revealed that he was going to be a father via Instagram was loved by many. An outpour of tears and dedication erupted around the league.
In 1949, Babe Ruth was honored with the Babe Ruth Award for the player with the best World Series performance. 1934 was Babe Ruth’s last season with The Yankees. Even though Robinson had to face racial abuse, he had an absolute great start with the Royals. He lead the International League with a .349 batting average and a .985 fielding percentage. (“Jackie Robinson.”) Due to his successfulness, he earned a promotion with the Dodgers.
Jorge Posada has seen and been through it all, he has seen the best and worst of the team and as well put a career that might not pop out to your face as maybe the others of the Core Four. But if you look deeper, you would realize that Jorge Posada is more than ready to become the first of the Core Four and as well the 18th catcher to be enshrined in Cooperstown, New
Chris Owings: Owings is truly a jack of all trades. Wherever the DBacks need him, he is there, whether he plays outfield, shortstop or second base, although his primary role is shortstop. Drafted by the Diamondbacks in 2009 out of high school. He made his major league debut in Sept of 2013. He spent sometime prowling around the Diamondbacks system but it looks like he is here to stay. In 28 games, Owings is batting .311 with 21 RBI's and 5 HR. His salary has gone up in both DK and Fanduel, he is currently sitting at $4200. Scoring in double-digit fantasy points most nights, he is well worth the roster spot.
A broken ankle in 2006 hampered his ability to quickly move up the Padres organization’s ranks. In 2007, the Padres converted Bush to a pitcher, partially because of his ability to throw a 100 mph fastball and his success in high school, going 5-1 with a 0.73 ERA. Bush, however, couldn’t stay out of trouble.
Giancarlo Stanton got traded to the Yankees over the summer bringing in a lot of hype about the 2 players who hit the most home runs last year on the same team (Stanton and Judge). So far he has a .234 batting avg. and 7 home runs. The avg. isn’t great right now, but that was due to his timing being off at the beginning of the year.
Sammy had played with two American leagues, then a national league. He had first played with the Texas rangers which was his first American league team, then he went to the Chicago White Sox. His first and only national league team was the Chicago Cubs. He then played with the Baltimore Orioles for one season. Then, he went back to the Texas Rangers in June. After that he had retired that month.
David Ortiz David Ortiz is not only considered one of the best hispanic baseball players of all time, but is also considered to be one of the best baseball players in Major League Baseball History. Babe Ruth has been absolutely outstanding so far in his young career. He has broken multiple records and has won multiple championships and he isn’t looking to stop now. He loves the game of baseball. He has said, “The only real game, I think, in the world is baseball.” This shows how much passion he plays with when doing the thing he loves.
