Expectations of Center Leader Course
When thinking about what I should expect out of Center Leaders Course, I am not sure exactly what to expect. I had let my center leader know at the time know that I was going to school and he started to give me a lot of information on the course. I decided to start looking into the reports and see if I would be able to understand them as well as have my center leader help me understand. I think that it is important to understand how to pull these reports as well as implementing them into every day recruiting options.
When my Station Commander took me through the Report Management Zone it seemed like it was useful. He took me through some of the different reports that will go hand in hand to understand the

Worked in end to end automation of many system reports and created a report dashboard for data extraction.
They offer the topic being discussed as well as professionalism to the report as a whole. Also provides information as to who or what the report belongs to.
My expectations of the Center Leader Course are to Learn what it takes to lead a recruiting center. I expect to learn each report used by a center leader, and the reason each report is used. I expect to have a better under standing of recruiting center operations. I also expect to better understand how to mentor and guide young recruiters to success.
I have multiple expectations of Center Leader course. My first expectation is to start with the basics. We need to have a base to start from. By learning and understanding the regulatory guidance it builds the base from which we grow. Too many times leaders are expected to or are assumed to already have the knowledge. The Non-commissioned officer corps needs to return to the “backbone” of the Army. Through proper self-development, sharing of one another’s knowledge and institutional learning we can accomplish this. I believe the ability and the desire to research has been lost. I do not expect to be handed answers. I do not need to ask for answers. I want to be guided in the right direction to get results. I need to research information for
After completing all this courses, you will have to attach a screen shot of your transcripts. If the course doesn't give you a transcript at the end, let your leadership team know.
One of the biggest lessons learned from this course is that to be an effective leader, you must have a diverse skillset. I’m not sure if there is any one magical component or characteristic in being a great leader. One influence during my review of the literature was that; although easier for some, I see leadership as something we must continually improve upon. This is in contrast to my belief during my first day of class, when I thought leaders just
Operation resources consist of management reports provide information about how well the surveillance system and its processes are working. The
Leadership and come to mean different things to different people. One of the biggest reasons that I took this class was to become a stronger leader in my personal life, as well as professional. I did not take this class because I have a desire to me in management at this point in my career. What is important to me was to look at this way to be a better employee, in reacting to management styles. I also wanted to take different aspects of management and implement them into being a leader in my family. I have had several managers that I have respected during my career and certain attributes I wanted to emulate. My current manger David Taggerty took the time out to discuss his role as a leader and how he got into leadership. We took a look
Since I want to study in economics, taking these two AP courses will give me a solid foundation for for my future and will greatly help with my higher level coursework. Good communication and leadership skill are also extremely important in this field, and thus I believe that my long history serving in leadership positions as well as being an Eagle Scout helps me. One of the requirements to get the Eagle Scout award it to serve in a leadership position for six months. The same requirement applies to both the ranks below Eagle, Star and Life. In my seven years of being a Boy Scout, I have spent the past four in leadership roles. I started as an Instructor, where I learned the importance of communicating well, and I had to do it fast, as my job was to teach all the new scouts their basic scout skills. I started off terribly, but I had to learn. It was as if I had to learn swimming by immediately being thrown into the deep end. It took a while for me to perfect communicating, but I eventually learned how to do so properly. Boy Scouts has also taught me a great deal about leadership, mainly through the same trial by fire process. Over the past four years, I’ve risen from a Patrol Leader through an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and to my current position of Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. All these positions, and classes make me confident that I will have the necessary leadership, academic, cooperative, and instructional qualifications to carry out my future goals
I think this class was a good mix of both theoretical concepts as well as practical applications for discussion. Something I enjoyed the most and benefited greatly was the application of various leadership models, theories and character comparisons to personal life applications. Leadership exists in all facets of life and it is important to understand some of the several well researched theories and look for opportunities to apply them in life. The ropes course was strategically scheduled in the beginning of the class to get to know everyone outside the classroom atmosphere and it presented some real time opportunity to demonstrate leadership ability. Since this is a class which involves a lot of
The capstone course challenges your strengths and makes you work on your weaknesses. I pride myself on my leadership ability but during this course my team was challenged with conflict this challenged my leadership ability and an area in which I would like to grow and that is being an effective team member. Overall we were able to overcome the setback and quickly get back on track. But it made me realize the importance of leadership in the face of discontent. The Market place also gave me chance to coordinate several projects at once challenging my time management skills and my application of business processes I have learned throughout the MBA program. The challenges of the market places also required me to look at more innovative ways of
Without our courses, I would not be able to answer this question as concisely and resolutely as I can now. The four courses that I have taken focused on leadership, curriculum, supervision and community involvement. Each of these had a particular focus, but I believe there was one single thread that ran through them all. The singular theme so far has been one of self-reflection. Every day I leave class thinking about the lesson and how it relates to the experiences I have had. I think about the styles of leadership that my favorite principals had. I think of the best feedback that I have
It is hard to quantify what I have learned in the semester of Leadership because the courses focus was not about memorizing data, but rather learning about having the will to lead and finding the courage to make it happen. A majority of the information I learned from this course came from learning about myself. Through readings, course activities, and various projects, I learned what makes a great leader, but more importantly what traits I possess that will make me a great leader. In order to be a great leader, one must have an understanding of what leadership is. Leadership is a social influence (Stogdill, p. 25). It means leaving a mark. It is initiating and guiding, and the result is change. Leading is the result of your passion coming to life.
Heading into this course, I wasn’t exactly sure what it was about. Aside from reading the description on the KU website, I had no idea what to expect. I thought it would be centered around what would make a good leader, and the things I should do to achieve this. After the first couple weeks, I finally grasped the purpose of this class, and slowly started to work what I was learning into my day to day life. Through this class I have been able to identify what adaptive leadership is and how to apply it to my day to day task as well as how to work within the disequilibrium. I was also given the opportunity to reflect on what I was learning, through journals and amongst my peers through discussion boards, and how I was using my knowledge to identify different challenges I was facing in my life.
