Knowing how schools work as organisations would support your work in education. Provide evidence that shows you can:
Identify some core values of this organization as best as you can. What do they believe in (beyond organizational success or profitability)? A schoolâ€TMs ethos may be reflected in working practice by being laid out in the schoolâ€TMs prospectus and being displayed throughout the school. It will also be embodied in the thinking of the school and its staff and recognised by the pupils. The ethos of schools may differ slightly but all

These placards address what the healthcare facility “believes” to be at the heart of what they do. Human dignity, respect for all persons, quality care at an affordable price, good stewardship of resources are keywords often used to describe these statements and values. Increased patient to nurse ratios are in direct opposition to what one would think of in terms of good stewardship of resources, not to mention the degradation of quality care. As nurses leave the profession a void is left that is becoming harder to fill which leads to shortages. Nursing shortages can be directly attributed to inappropriate nurse patient ratios.
