The spiritual aspect of the Christian faith is what the Christian believer must go through in order to be considered a true follower of Christ. This aspect in the life of those believers simply constitute a few steps that explain the fundamental changes from the state of being a non-Christian to the stage of being a full blown disciple of Jesus Christ. It is an ongoing process, and not one Christian has been known to fully complete all the steps to perfection.

By definition, redemption is “an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake. ”(dictionary.reference.com). It’s also defined as “deliverance; rescue”(dictionary.reference.com). It’s a rescue from evils, similar to reconciliation in a church, which is the overall forgiveness of sin.
Spirituality is a very broad concept and it means different things to numerous people. I personally think that it means believing in Jesus, respecting him, and filling out His will that He has for each and every one of us. I pray to God every day and realize that my role in life is bigger than what I do on a daily basis. My role is to introduce people to God and to pray and help everyone no matter their religion of beliefs.
Throughout the book, the author carefully details the need for balance between theology and spirituality, and psychology and Christianity. Though the author discusses methods and approaches that are spiritual but based on a strong theological foundation. “Nothing is more crucial to an effective Christian life that a clear awareness of its foundation” (p. 25). Essentially Crabb (1977) maintains that spirituality is a product of the correct thinking associated with strong theological foundation.
Crying and laughing, people experience many different emotions during different stages of their life. In a Christianity sense, salvation is when a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior, and they believe the fact that he died for the sins of Christians. The term of salvation is often referred to as being “saved”. Salvation is when one delivers not only their body in a physical to the church and God, but it is also a committee to Jesus mentally and spiritually. In Herman Hesse’s Siddhartha, the four Noble Truths of Buddhism are revealed throughout the journey of Siddhartha. The Four Noble Truths include: Life means suffering, the origin of suffering is attachment, the cessation of suffering is attainable, and the path to the cessation of suffering. Siddhartha discovers that in order to reach enlightenment, one must have experiences and struggle through these Noble Truths firsthand.

It is a way of life that is governed by a series of passages and countless rules. These passages and rules are meant to enable an individual to further their growth as an agent of transformations to reach the ultimate goal of enlightenment. Fundamental beliefs or convictions determine a person’s core values. Convictions act like the supporting ground that allows me to build my behavior and actions as a professional. Core convictions allow me to identify what is right from wrong; as a teacher, they can help me determine if I am on the right track when fulfilling my professional goals. This is why I think convictions and goals are related; while goals set my objectives as a teacher, my core convictions make sure that these objectives are lenient with professional behavior and practices.
