In chapter 11 of the book The Seven Laws of the Learner, Bruce Wilkinson presents a section entitled “Maxim 5” where he presents the idea that equipping should be focused on only those who are more intently committed to learning. After years of teaching and management I personally agree with the author. There is a certain amount of effort that should be given to all students. However, the teacher must take the time to evaluate the students and then carefully select those who seek and desire to understand more. Wilkinson explains that this is the “Law of Equipping” as teachers need train students for a life of service. The educator should focus on teaching the student to become independent and to continue the process of equipping others. Wilkinson uses the Apostle Paul as a good example when he is instructing Timothy. Paul specifically tells Timothy to teach others to carry on the Gospel work (2 Tim. 2:2-3). In Paul’s letter, it is evident that Timothy has been singled out to carry on the
To help children advance physical and intellectual competence as a childcare provider you should always find ways to incorporate fun aspects into learning. This can be established through the use of technology. Technology as we all may know is something that we use daily. It makes finding out information simple, easy and accessible for little kids with the help of a parent. Websites such as Star fall and ABCYA are two sites that offer children a fun and easy to access source of learning that they can do at home or on the go. Through the use of technology we can help our children excel and develop cognitively as well as use computers and other gadgets in an engaging way.
According to the textbook, brain based research states that child’s brain is two-and-a half times as active as an adult’s and it creates an estimated one trillion synapses during the first three years of infant’s life. In addition, young children have really powerful learning. They learn through quality experiences and relationships. There are some ideas that teachers of young children need to to keep in mind. From birth to age 4, teachers have to include all the senses in a child’s exploration in order for them to have a healthy and enriched environment. Children from age 4 to 8, teachers have to provide a lot of opportunities to use stories, explore ideas and master activities than using worksheets in order to have rich stimulating activities. In terms of all ages, teachers have to develop a curriculum that promotes collaboration, cooperation and teamwork.
Nazi Propaganda in World War II deliberately used certain colors to subconsciously make more people follow their ideals and principles. Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Reichsminister of Propaganda, knew the power that color had on the formation of consent to influence minds. Goebbels recognized the science of what colors did to individuals subconsciousness and played on the will and emotions of the masses through his mind tricking usage of said hues. According to Daniel Broudy in the Communications Journal, The Propaganda of Patriotism and Color, different kinds of propaganda used hues of the red spectrum to predominate visual media that was designed to appeal and stir patriotic feelings. Goebbels and other Nazi propagandists utilized darker shades like
Cate came into kindergarten already reading because of the incredible support of her fours teachers. Learning was fun for her and she loved going to school. Given her abilities, my husband and I wanted her to be challenged to move forward as she was able. However, the critically decisive factors that compelled us to choose Second Pres kindergarten were its developmentally appropriate curriculum and individualized education. We believe without the experience of Second Pres kindergarten, our oldest, Holly Jane wouldn’t be a third grader reading

The role of technology in early childhood education is a controversial topic to both teachers and parents. The main concerns of both teachers and parents is the potential benefits for young children’s learning and development.. Supporters and non-supporters agree on the importance of young children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. Supporters feel children should have the opportunity to use the computer as another tool to aide in and encourage their development. Non-supporters agree the computer may be a useful tool for young children but feel many teachers may not be using the computers in the best way to promote a healthy development in the child.
Those simple instructions helped the students to get into their daily routine. With the increased discovery and changes in special education, the kids will benefits from newly developed technology in the future. During lunch, the students sat at the table with their peers. I felt like the school needed more set of hands; in other to achieve their desired goals. Ms. Gonzalez was a very happy and hardworking teacher who loved her job. I asked Ms. Gonzalez what motivated her to become a special education teacher. She said that she was motivated by her son. She had a three year old son who was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Conduct Disorder (CD). She said during the initial stage of her son diagnoses, she felt hopeless, frustrated and taught she will not be able to take care of her child. She attended a lot of seminars and training on how to care for a child with such disorder. After series of training, she was able to care for her child and love her child just the way he was. When her child got older, she decided to become a special aid teacher. Her goal was to share her story; as well as educate the parents on how to care for children with disabilities and ways to reduce parental anxiety and frustration while caring for their

Every human being is classified under a such title, my categorization is under the umbrella of a student, athlete, leader, and more. In eleventh grade, I presume that I accomplished Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership ESLRS. As shown in my essays and achievements at Godinez, I love collaborating with the community and individuals to impact our worlds. Thus, with more experience in leadership by taking more roles that affect a group or community, I am confident to say I have for the greater part put others before me. My actions prove that I tend to aid individuals in the most that I can and simply impact my community with the miniscule choices I make.
Literacy is important for young children. It’s so much a child has to know before entering kindergarten. The Essentials of Early Literacy Instruction stressed the importance of teaching literacy. Early literacy is an emerging g set of relationships between reading and writing. Today a lot of terms have been referred to for literacy development for preschoolers the term that’s mostly used is early literacy. The term was chosen because the earliest forms of literacy development are forming reading and writing concepts. Linking early literacy to play is the most effective way to for young children to learn. There are many ways educators can teach literacy activities such as rich teacher talk, storybook reading, phonologic awareness activities, alphabet activities, support for emergent writing, shared book experience, integrated, and content-focused activities, Young children understand print by oral and written language. Asking students to help read a book and turn the page help them understand the basics of a book. There are at least three critical content categories in early literacy: oral language comprehension, phonological awareness, and print knowledge. Children need to learn phonological awareness, alphabet letter knowledge, the function of written language, a sense of meaning making texts, and vocabulary. Alphabetic writing is quite difficult once children understand the language of their community they learn which words stand for which concepts in that language.
Although computers were initially created for use in business, they have since become a key resource for teaching all children, including those with special needs.(Winzer, 83) Many
There have been many changes in the technological scene in the last few years. This has prompted the argument on what people stand to benefit from these advancements. This is why there have been many studies and researches that are all intended to show how the electronic media assists in learning amongst children. However, there has been little attention as to what the electronic media does to the same children. The electronic media has become a favorite amongst the learners and in particular children. It is imperative to note that the learning process is not passive. This is because the children do not just heed to the instructions and assume that anything is learnt. The process of learning is active and cognitive. Therefore, the environment under which a child is in has a significant influence on the learning process. It is vivid from this argument that the media has a significant role in the shaping of the children. Electronic media is very beneficial in the learning process but it is imperative that there are regulations because it has a dominant role in cognitive development of children.
Developmental areas include social and emotional, language, motor, cognition, and in addition a child will make approaches towards learning as well (Davis, 1998). Language development is very important during this time and computers help since children are exposed to them for reading and writing purposes. Also, it gives opportunities for them to be motivated to interact with other children if they are in groups. Research has shown that computer play encourages longer more complex speech and development of fluency (Baur, 1998). Cognitively, technology use is connected to children and the use of it can lead to greater motivation and self-direction. Development is very important socially, and placing children in groups or pairs helps interaction between their peers. This helps increased levels of spoken communication and cooperation that were demonstrated in a study.
