I have become more proficient in my study skills because in English class, every week I need to take a quiz for vocab. Before, I have studied for a little bit at my house. Now, I study at my house the last 4 days before the quiz and during school the last class before the quiz. I start to know what does each word goes in the sentence that have given us to fill in the blank. I have stayed the same for doing homework because every day I did my homework when I arrive to my house so that I could be able to relax and don´t worry about the things to do for school. I have also stayed the same when turning in the assignment because I don´t want to have a low grade so I try to finish the work before class ends and give it to the teacher. I also turn
Throughout my whole life, I really struggled with writing. Every time the English teacher gave the class an assignment to write an essay, I was always felt terrified because I never saw any improvements in my writing whenever I got my essays back from the teacher. However, I wanted to change that this year. Writing 101 has been a very interesting class this year, especially since the theme of the class was “tai chi on paper”. In this class, I learned many techniques that helped me improve my writing like I learned how to take time and revise my writing a lot before I turned in my final draft to my professor.
Now I have realized all my past mistakes and am able to fix them as much as I can. it was rough at first, actually studying at home when I wanted to do something more fun, but now it is easy and I have become a very fast studier. It helps me understand the subject and not just forget right after the
3. To help improve in class I concentrate more on taking notes of everything. I think taking notes helps me to understand and learn things quicker. Not only that, but it also helps me improve my grasping power and help sharpen my memory as well. Less use of a cellphone, not eating while learning, etc., helps me too.
I began to do my homework at home instead of in class before it was due. If I would have trouble with assignments or homework, I would reread notes. I would receive homework with fewer mistakes. When I did have mistakes, I would drive myself to ask the teacher who assigned me the homework during lunch for guidance. I would then correct my mistakes. I would keep quizzes to study for tests. I began asking teachers for help after school to help me improve my essays. This then resulting in have eighty five percents or higher in the classes i was
Since I am transferring from a Community College to a University I know that I will need to improve my studying skills and that way that I approach assignments and my classes to make me successful at the University of Arizona. So any techniques that other want to teach me to assist in helping me change and improve my current techniques would be greatly appreciated and helpful to make me successful here at the University of Arizona and my future academic endeavors.

I started to use my work time in class and getting work done. It makes life easier to do all the work in class or in study. If I finish my homework and get good grades I get to do more fun stuff like hang out with friends and watch tv.
As a six-month-old baby books had opened up a whole entire new world of experience for me. My inspiration to learn how to read and write was encouraged by my Mother and Grandmother. This is because they read out loud to me before bed occasionally and gave me the best time of my life by introducing me to a library. By two years of age I developed speech and other communication skills. This helped me understand and develop a favorite book, “PJ Funny Bunny,” and I would stare at the pages pretending I was reading them. I would continually pretend to read with other Dr. Seuss books, Smurf pop-up books (I imagined I was a part of these for hours), sniff & scratches, and sensory books. I had just begun
Some people might assume few women of nineteenth century England, were truly successful as authors. Jane Austen is an exception to that assumption. She was an independent lady who lived and died by her pen. Despite the obstacles she encountered in her lifetime Austen did not achieve success until after her death. Jane Austen may have lived a quiet and humble lifestyle, but her literary works have made a lasting impression on the lives of women of the 20th century.
During my time in study skills I have learned what kind of personality I have when it comes to learning as well as how to handle stress and create free time for myself. The most important areas I have learned and will focus on at this point when I finish my class is how to improve my future test scores, keep up on my note taking, how I can keep improving my reading skills, and my goals I now have after taking study skills.

After all that in
Studying skills will help you be more successful as well, there is also to much studying. To much studying can cause stress, and dense learning habits, also pushing your self to hard may ruin learning skills and cause your self to feel bad, or not as intelligent. Study skills for tests, quizzes, and exams is very important. Evenly spreading out study time will increase memory of the subjects you learn. Taking frequent breaks will make studying less stressful. Using flash cards, web sites, computers, or just a pencil and paper are all great ways to study. Having an answer sheet to refer to, and look over when your done will also help study and learning skills because it can help you see what you did wrong and need to fix. Having a study group or club before big tests, like exams or diplomas, will help you have more fun with your friends when studying.
Personal learning styles are highly complex and unique to specific individuals. It is often difficult to pinpoint an exact learning style. Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Based on what I have recently learned and know from experience, I have also devised a structured plan for improvement of time management and study skills.
