Throughout my high school years going to Eisenhower I’ve seen so many of my friends travel out of the country, whether it be for show choir, trips, or sister cities program. I always have been so jealous of kids who went on these exciting vacations. Since trips like these truly are a once in a lifetime experience for everyone. I would like to be a student ambassador for countless reasons.
It would be making forever life events that can only be done through the sister cities. I am a senior so this is my last year to participate. Sure I could go to Germany sometime soon, but having that chance to have a host family, and actually bond with another family would be the best thing ever. I would love to learn more about another country and how beautiful it really is. I’ve heard so many of my friends have the best experiences while being with their host families. I am a people person so making new friends wouldn't be any type of problem when being over seas.

I am very responsible with my money and how to handle it. Just this year I joined Decatur Elite Energy show choir and had to come up with $2,800 to pay for all my dues. I’ve fundraised and worked many shifts at work so that I could do something that I am so passionate about.
Being able to look back and have lifelong memories with the people I lived with for a short period of time is something that I would cherish. They would live hundreds of miles away, but at the end we would still be close.
I would love to be a student ambassador also for getting to try some new food while being overseas. I might not always like it, but you have to try something before you automatically dislike it. In school, I have always found different cultures to be very fascinating. I honestly would love to learn some of the different languages spoken in other
It has been my dream to become an au pair. Because I really love fell happily with children and enjoy working with them. I like to create many ideas which activities that I could do with the children. As an au pair I'll get great working experience, aboard and learn about a different culture and I have also improved my English skill working and studying in the USA would be great for my future career.
From an early age, I had the desire to give back to my community. This desire was likely instilled in me by my mother, who as a school teacher, went to great lengths to help her students achieve academically. To better do this, she created at Tupelo Middle School in Mississippi, the Mermaids and Argonauts Program, which allowed students to travel on extended school trips to locations where they were able to have hands-on experiences at zoos, science labs, colleges, museums, and more across the country. As her child, I was able to tag along on many of these trips, which fueled my desire to learn about and interact with my environment. It left me with the great hope that someday I would be able to have such experiences abroad, in order to better learn about the people and cultures with which I interact. For this reason, I hope to study abroad this summer in Pachuca, Mexico.
I believe i should be in National Junior honor society because i work hard to keep my grades up, I take responsibility for my actions, I join in on school events like the dances and make sure i'm polite to my peers. I show leadership when the teacher leaves the room and i decide not to mess around, listening to the teacher in class and showing up to school with a positive attitude. When i show up to school with a positive attitude i smile say good morning and i’m ready to learn.
I believe that I should receive a scholarship, because it would give me something else I should fight for and strive to get. It will give me something to challenge myself with. I feel like if I work hard and get these scholarships, it can show people that as long as you work hard for what you want, there is a high chance that you will achieve it. I feel like if I was given a scholarship it would help me get really far in collage life without worry about paying off loans.
World peace can be achieved by broadening each other’s perspectives through everyday interactions. This idea forms an essential part of NSLI-Y’s mission: that we can improve understanding between our country and others, and this is achievable if each one of us decides to be the change that we hope to see in our communities. This mission aligns with both my personal and future professional missions, and as a NSLI-Y student and alumna, I am able to be ambassador, building connections between communities through everyday interactions, volunteering, and speaking about my study abroad experience. Therefore, as a study abroad participant, perhaps the most simple, but one of the most important ways, to promote intercultural learning is to get involved. As a member of my host community, I was able to open my ears and mind to every opportunity available to me to participate in my community: through everyday traditions and once-a-year celebrations, school activities, volunteer opportunities, and religious and extracurricular activities. I said yes to all of the new opportunities that presented themselves to me, whether it was trying a new, unidentifiable food or running a 5K. I let my passion
I want to be an ambassador to help our school with gaining new students for Veterans Tribute. Along with helping future students get used to the school to help them with their decision of enrolling into our school or not and to help them become comfortable to VTCTA. Above all, I want to reresent the school by going to different schools and talking to students, and by showing how school life is
I would be an asset to the Lamar University Ambassador Program for three main reasons: I am good in social situations, I know how to positively and enticingly portray things, and I am hardworking and dedicated. Throughout high school and as president of the National Honors Society I had to attend different events to represent our school. Since my high school was a school of choice we visited middle schools and presented on why students would want to attend Eastwood. I was one of the students elected to speak on behalf of the school and in many ways worked as an ambassador for the school. Also, as president of NHS I
Currently, I am serving with an AmeriCorps program called City Year as I have described in the AmeriCorps specific essay of this application. However, before beginning my corps year, I traveled with my brother to Europe to explore several countries including England, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and France. Discovering new cultures and interacting with people across the world are great interests of mine so I enjoyed this transitional break between graduating college and entering the workforce.
I would be honored to take the position of being student council president. There are qualities a president of student council should possess that I believe I have.
I haven't seen my family in quite a long time, and I miss them. I would be able to bond more with them. Hanging out with my family always makes me happy, especially for Christmas. I would be able to get to see my aunt and uncles, my cousins, and my grandparents. We could cook breakfast together, hang decorations, and open presents. It would be fun and a great time.
To begin with, I would give my great grandma Peavy back to my dad and grandma for a week. One of the reasons I would bring her back is she could talk to the family again. They can say their goodbyes, i love you, and i’m sorry for the argument we had. Also, taking a walk together will help them tell each other how their doing. They could tell secrets, walk by the ocean, or even sit on the front porch and talk about the stuff we didn’t get to talk about. Another thing is she could meet more of her great grand kids, Aj, Haley, And I. She would be able to get to know us more as we talk.
I feel like I would greatly benefit from traveling to Washington D.C. I applied to Jones College Prep, a challenging selective enrollment high school and I would like to learn as much as I can so I will be well suited and prepared if I get in. Our Individuals in Society class (or Social Studies/Humanities class) only meets every other day, so we do not have as much time to learn about history and our country as we would for reading or math. I feel like the Washington D.C. trip would be three days of in-depth hands-on education that I wouldn’t get in class and that would help prepare me for high school. We also don’t have as many field trips in middle school as we had in earlier years, so this hands-on trip is a rare and special experience.
Opportunity to travel abroad: traveling to another country enables you to get a complete picture of the culture, it also helps to enhance your interpersonal skills as well as your communication skills and it enables you to appreciate new customs. (San Diego State University, n.d.)
My love for kids and having so many legacies in the world would be just as great as if I had my own knowing that your name will mean something to them and it helped them get somewhere. I still to this day remember my favorite teacher and I also remember my pre-k teacher those are memories that will never leave you.
Who are you financially or what is your money personality (for example, what kind of experiences have you had with money)?
