Explain Why I Want To Be A Leader At Camp

It is evident that Schulich Leaders are individuals who possess the ability to leave an impressionable impact on their school and beyond. Throughout my educational pathway, I have consistently dedicated my time and effort for the greater good of my fellow students, staff, and community members. I have always been naturally inclined to lead individuals, as it gives me the opportunity to express and develop my capabilities as an exemplary role model. Particularly, I demonstrate these characteristics through a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, where my tendency to propose, carry out, and offer insight on the issues at hand never goes unnoticed. Due to the fact that I am a diligent and thoughtful individual who never rests until my endeavours materialize lends to the notion that I will undoubtedly make an outstanding Schulich Leader.

One leadership strengths I possess is that I am a very good public speaker and am able to easily address a group of people whether it is a big or small one. I also believe that I am quite approachable and friendly. One of my challenges would be trying to show the band that I could be a fun, as well as effective and productive leader. Even when I am feeling tired and slightly irritable, which I can be when tired, I will have to work hard to keep a positive attitude and to not let the negative side show though to the band. I have held numerous leadership roles, such as being captain of the volleyball team all four years of high school. I believe that having this experience demonstrates my ability to be a leader in a group of my peers. I also was an orientation leader for three years where I was showing new students the ins and outs of our school. This experience will help me when I would be training new employees.

One reason why I would be the best leader is that I would have a great deal of survival skills. One of those skills is the knowledge on how to handle livestock, and how to grow food. Skills and knowledge such as this would be helpful in a survival situation because if the group was stranded for a prolonged amount of time it would be important to be able to produce food, and farming it would be much more productive than hunting it, because only a few animals would have to be caught to provide food for a prolonged amount

Being a leader comes easily to myself, I have held various leadership positions throughout high school and middle school. I was honored to lead and be captain for every team I was a part of. I was captain of my middle school soccer team when I was younger, and captain of my premier soccer team as well. I was also the first lone captain ever named to my high school soccer team, which I held with great pride and honor. I find myself very comfortable leading groups because of the amount of experience I have with being a leader.

J.Kyle Braid, a club with the mission to develop athletes into strong leaders, selected two girls and two boys to attend this leadership camp from Downers Grove North each year. One reason I would like to be on this team is because it is another opportunity for me to practice my leadership skills that I will be able to perfect and take to college with me and even beyond college. A good leader is someone who puts others before him or her, someone who cares about people and someone who does not give up easily. This is what being a leader means to me and I believe that I have all of these characteristics. When I am at school, I tend to help my friends and peers more than I help myself and I take pride in knowing that they are getting the help they need to succeed. I believe that I should be accepted for the position of Section Leader, because I am relatable, I make people feel welcomed and like they belong, I can be encouraging, I can have fun but when the time comes for me to be serious I can do that as well. While in the Boy Scouts I have held leadership positions so this is not something that is new to me. A leader is someone who is confident, honest, and passionate. Although I might not have these traits in every situation, I believe I am a leader. At my school, I am a gym leader for physical education classes. This was something that I choose to do because I thought it would be fun, but I ended up learning very much from it. When I first signed up for this class, I thought it would be easy and something that was just easier than working out every day, like a normal gym class. I sincerely believe that I have characteristics of a good leader, although some of them could be different from the more conventional ones. For example, I am a team player and care about the well being of others, I try my best to help everyone in their time of need, I am generally patient about things, and I really celebrate success in a very enthusiastic way. I took a couple of the color personality quizzes and according to the first color personality quiz I was a Red. I agree with this, I am an great leader. I am a great leader I make sure everyone 's opinions and ideas are heard. I also make sure every person gets an opportunity to speak and have a say about what goes down on the paper or computer. When I am a leader of a group people sometimes say that I am a excellent leader. If teachers give me a task I can be highly effective. I will be highly effective if a teacher gives me a task I try to make sure that the task is done fast ,but make sure the task is right.
