Is it a girl or boy ? As a Ultrasound Technician you could be the one answering this or a host of other medical questions with help of ultrasound technology. The career of a Ultrasound Technician is exciting and beautiful , because you are there through the whole growth process of one’s child. The research will describe the career of a Ultrasound Technician, what is required to become a successful Ultrasound Technician and the impact this career has on society.
Someone would need to know what it takes and the daily routines of an ultrasound technician if they are hoping to become one. A person should know the amount and the type of schooling needed. They should know what classes are needed, and they should also know the advancements and changes in the profession in the last few years to know what is ahead of them and why the school curriculum has changed. The reason I am writing this paper is because I would like to know, and to share what I found. I have wanted to become an ultrasound technician for years, but have put it off because I have been out of school 14 years and was scared to come back. I would love to work in an obstetrician’s office, because that would be my dream job. The reason I want to become one is because most of my family is in the medical field somewhere so I have the background and lots of knowledge, but I don’t care for the blood and guts that go with most of the careers in the medical field. With radiology it is non-evasive I love babies, also. I wouldn’t mind going into other fields of the industry either.
The process of becoming an ultrasound technician can be one that is intimidating. However, it doesn’t have to be. With the help of an organization called American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), those seeking to be a sonographer can achieve their goals. Although there are many steps to take, it can be done. This paper will help instruct individuals who wish to go through the sonography principles and instrumentation (SPI) examination (Sonography Principles & Instrumentation [SPI], (2015).
My lifetime goals mostly consist of being a well round, intellectual, respected person of society. An Ultrasound technician is the career I intend to pursue. The extra-curricular and academic classes I participate in will help me achieve my goals in a variety of ways. All things I do now will partake in how I am defined in the future I see for myself.
Radiologic technology is a satisfying and rewarding career. It is a technical and refined science. As a radiological technologist, there are many essential duties and responsibilities that have to be fulfilled in order to be a good one. First of all, radiological technologists have to maintain a well-mannered and professional behavior when gathering information. They have to assure their patients that they are in good hands therefore; they give patients the uppermost quality of care and services. Second of all, the main responsibility of a healthcare provider is to keep all knowledge of a patient’s health record confidential or secluded. That means radiological technologists cannot talk about patients at home or with friends and classmates
When I entered college I was uncertain of what my career would be. I chose to get my degree in Biology because I knew that it can open my path to many different fields in healthcare. Following the completion of my Bachelor in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, I worked at a medical office and during those times I came across the field of Ultrasound. I was amazed and fascinated by the technology and the sight of a human heart. Echocardiography was created a unique opportunity for me to combine my interest in medicine and technology with concern for others.
There are many reasons why I would love to become a Medical Assistant, and here are some. To start, I can say it’s always been a passion of mine, for some time now. For some odd reason I never thought or seen myself doing something other than being in the medical field. I’ve always been the one to help others. To know I can help one another, and maybe putting a smile on their face, puts one on mine; and it brings me joy. Also just maybe making someone’s days, is a good deed. I love people. Iam very much people oriented. I can say I get along with any and everybody that comes my way. Having that asset, will be very helpful being in this kind a field, because you’re dealing with hundreds of hands on needy patients.
I want to be Neonatal Nurse because, I enjoy helping kids and babies, taking care of them and making a difference in their life.
The reason why I chose to further educate myself to become a medical assistant is because I love the servant role. Ever since I can remember, I pictured myself in the medical field. I find myself genuinely enjoying helping patients, taking care of them, seeing them smile after the fact; It brings me joy. Not only I find myself enjoying being in the medical field, I also see myself grow in this area. My ultimate goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I started working in the medical field in 2012 at Alaska Regional Hospital. Til this day, I can’t stress enough how thankful I was when my supervisor gave me a chance to work with them. She saw how badly I wanted the position and I stressed the fact
Being able to identify lumps, swelling, tissue damage, cysts, and the overwhelming news of the sex of a baby all have something in common, an ultrasound. Swelling of the spleen, kidney stones, blood clots, aneurysms, cancer and so much more can be identified through the works of an ultrasound’s imaging technique. Ultrasound involves many concepts, procedures, and careers. The amount of medical possibilities involved with ultrasounds is useful in major medical diagnostics. The field of ultrasounds and career opportunities are widely growing. As medical careers flourish, needs for technicians in many fields of medicine are increasing. Instead of a doctor choosing complex and risky surgery to find out problems within the body, they can now
I currently attend Baton Rouge General School of Radiologic Technology to pursue an Associates degree through Northwestern State University. I chose this profession because I always want to help others. I want to play a part in the healing process of patients. Being able to help people determine things going on inside their body interest me and that is why I chose Radiology. The true definition of a Radiologic Technologist is the “medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments. They are educated in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection and basic patient care”. This definition makes this job seem easy but it is not an easy job at all. We do so much pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients it is physically exhausting. When I first chose this profession I did not think there would be this much to taking images of someone. It is more than just placing a patient somewhere and
Why I choose The Career? I chose this career because I love babies and children, I thought it would be a fun job. Although I do know that I will have some patients with medical problems, but I will be the
Two-year associate degree is commonly accepted. After two years of educational expenses, sonographers graduate to find that their services are in demand and that starting salaries are generous enough to justify the investment in a college education. Since sonography is in high demand you have job security, good benefits packages, and the opportunity for ultrasound career development and the satisfaction for helping patients as part of a dedicated team of health care professionals. Not only do ultrasound technicians receive good health benefits, but they also extend down to their family as well. This job helps to diagnose people who may be experiencing a disease or an illness. Many ultrasound technicians find this is an intensely rewarding experience. There
Medical examination is a competitive field of work. That very few succeed in. In order to be a medical examiner, you need handwork and determination. Medical examination has a rich history, requires years of education and training, and come in various forms.
I want to be a neonatal nurse because I lost my twin nephews before they were born and because I really enjoy working with babies. I also enjoy the challenges that will come with trying to figure out what needs to be done to care for each baby. I will mainly be working with the physical aspect of the babies because my main concern will be the health of the infants. Some strengths of the job will be that I will constantly be challenged and that I will be able to work with an age group that I love. Some of the challenges will be trying to understand what the infants need and any patient lost will be a huge challenge. Because I will only work with young babies, most parts of the age group are genetics related. At the point they will be at, everything they will be doing is based off instincts. Although the loss of my nephews was a terrible time, their memory has inspired me to pick a career where I can keep other families from feeling the same
