First of all I would like to be in the healthcare field because I would like to have the ability to help parents keep their children safe.I love children and I hate seeing them when they are sick. I would like to be able to help them live a healthier environment by helping them avoid illnesses and by helping them get over illnesses quickly. I would like to one day find a cure for an illness and save multiple children or

In life, choosing is never easy. Choosing what to wear, eat, where to go, and how to live. Choosing what you want to do for the rest of your life, is as easy as walking to the moon and back. There is no brochure that gives you a sure set of bullet points as to what you would like to do, instead, we are meant to simply discover what we would enjoy doing most. There are over a million different careers, yet I’ve chosen a profession in Dental Hygiene. Believe it or not, my first words were not in fact, “I want to become a dental hygienist”.
Ever since I was young, sitting in front of the TV with my cat watching Animal Planet, I have had a
There are many jobs around the world to choose from. The three jobs that I choose were a Border Patrol Agent, Dental Hygienist, and an American Navy Nurse. The jobs that I picked either one or two have something in common with each other. For example the American Navy Nurse and a Border Patrol Agent share something in common and so does the Dental Hygiene with the Navy Nurse. All these jobs inter me and it’s hard to choose for only one.
Then, out of nowhere, Azusa Pacific University, a small D2 school calls me and tells me they are very interested in me and want me to visit. After telling my uncle of the news, he immediately picked me up from school and drove me out to California, where I would have my first official visit to a university. To most, this was nothing, but to me it was the world. I loved the campus, the people, and the school. Although they were not going to offer me a scholarship, I felt confident that this is where I wanted to go. I applied, got accepted, and planned to begin attending school the following fall.
First off, I want to start off by saying how thankful I am to have the opportunity to win a dining scholarship. I believe I should be awarded this dining scholarship because I am a single unemployed mother, who would be truly grateful for the extra financial assistance. This would definitely assist with maximizing my success at UCF and not to mention, it will minimize my financial burden.
Hey Alexa! Braces are what sparked my interest in the dental field too! Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be a dental hygienist, but overtime my mind has changed. Now that I have circled back around to the dental field, I have decided to start out in dental assisting and work towards getting my dental hygiene later in life. It's really interesting to learn about what sparked a person’s interest in a particular
Over the past two years since I started working as a dental assistant at Kidwell and Albus Dentistry, watching and learning from the doctors, hygienists and assistants as well as helping them. I have realized that there is a lot of joy, and satisfaction when I help the patients improve their dental hygiene and provide the best service possible along with my coworkers. I have gained a lot of experience about what the job entails, the benefits, drawbacks, and ultimately concluded that dental hygienist is the career path that I want to pursuit at this moment in my life, mainly because of three reasons which are professional fulfillment, financial stability, and time flexibility.
Therefore, I believe that Texas Tech is best choice I can ever make. If they accept me, that’s even better. The reason why, is because I want to go study in a place that will take me away from all the problems at home and give me a whole different experience. I’ve done so much these past four years. To just being a freshman, to now being a senior representing so many organizations. Every teacher has known me as an exceptional student without any
The first thing many people notice in individuals varies, but the first thing I notice is always their smile. This more than likely stems from my obsession with my own smile since as early on as I can remember. This obsession has become almost a hobby. I like to find out what is best for my teeth and others by trying many different tooth brushes, tooth pastes, mouth washes and so on to see which are best for whitening, sensitivity and cleaning in general. My love for healthy teeth has led me to desire to be a part of the dental hygiene field as my career. I believe that the best jobs are always the ones you love doing and I would love to be able to give others the beautiful smile they deserve, increasing their confidence and happiness
Imagine growing up in a turbulent environment for 17 long years, with no one to understand you and with the thought of not fitting in with others around you. Growing up I never went anywhere and never had many friends. Often, I always thought I was missing something in my life until I toured South Alabama. It opened eyes up to serenity; which I had never been exposed to. After visiting the school, a love for it grew strong in my heart and I, eventually did further research on it and learned that it had a lot to offer; on both an educational level and a socializing level. A lot of information was gained from the research. The three main reasons that caused me to really and truly want to attend are because of diversity, distance, and college
Being a veterinarian doesn't mean dealing with lots of cute animals, it means helping them and making sure they don't get hurt. Veterinarians didn't start in America it started in France. The town doctors would also take care of the animals as well. It takes a lot of work to be a Vet there are stresses and hard work and dedication.
When I grow up, I want to be a veterinarian. I want to be this when I grow up because I love pets as many know. My grandma has 4(that I know of)but 3(that I know of too) of them died so she just has the one. I used to have 3 when I was really little and even before I was born thoughs 3 died then we got Karma my pitbull she love her kennel she got put down(R.I.P.) Dottie she was a cat and she ran away. And Renegade is my newest he is a Italian Mastiff. Then we have Charlie he is old and he is sorta new he come to our house for a visit sometimes but now he is fully ours. So that show I have some skill with pets. But I hate seeing pets not well and I want to fix that so that is also why I want to be a veterian. I’ll try my hardest to work.
My lifelong fascination in animals has heavily influenced my desire to major in Animal Science. Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. By 8th grade I was already researching colleges I would apply to. My love for animals was unwavering; not once have I doubted wanting to be a veterinarian. I drew my inspiration from horses and Animal Planet.
