Why should i be accepted into Aveda? I have a really big passion for hair. Ever since my fifth grade career project. I have been so dedicated the past four years of high school. I have had many early early mornings just so i could ride along to with a lady that does weddings and just watch her techniques while she did hair and makeup. I spend countless hours watching youtube videos on different hairstyles and makeup application.
I believe I should be chosen to participate in Delta's program because I've always been fascinated by aviation. Being a pilot has always been in my mind as a career choose, as I've flown a lot in my life, all across the world in fact. I've flown to Rome, Mexico, Hawaii, and countless other destinations. And every time I travel via a plane to anywhere, I always wonder, what would it be like to pilot this plane? Is it complicated? Is it easy? What do all the buttons do? This curiosity led me to experiment with countless flight simulators, although none of them were realistic enough, and none of them satiated my interest in piloting.
This year I will be helping out at the primary again, and I will also volunteer to be a translator for the parents. The only difference being that I will actually be more one-to-one with a 2nd grader, helping learn her English. I was overjoyed when I was offered this opportunity, I couldn’t wait to get started. I also couldn’t wait to get started with a new project I started at school. The step forward that I took was that I started my own program at my school, the unique factor being that it’s a spanish based after school study table. The goal of the program is to help out the students who are having trouble in class because they don’t know as much English.
“...ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” This
I want to do when I finish school. My mother always told me that I would be a babysitter, because I like to take care of kids. On the other hand, I thought that I wanted to be a teacher However, being a student for twelve long years I noticed how children behaved in school. In my mind, I knew that wasn’t the future job for me. When I was in the third grade, my grandmother had a stroke. Since she had gotten sick, I had to take care of her .This is what persuaded me to become a Registered Nurse.
I believe i should be in National Junior honor society because i work hard to keep my grades up, I take responsibility for my actions, I join in on school events like the dances and make sure i'm polite to my peers. I show leadership when the teacher leaves the room and i decide not to mess around, listening to the teacher in class and showing up to school with a positive attitude. When i show up to school with a positive attitude i smile say good morning and i’m ready to learn.

I chose this program because I believe that knowing Spanish will enable me to become a better person, a better global citizen, and a better teacher. In the past, I had the privilege of working, in my community, with ESL students whose families were unfamiliar with the American school system and recently with the daughter of one of my friends from Mexico. My friend, even after 20 years in the U.S., barely speaks English and because of that she can only work as a housekeeper. Her daughter is sixteen years of age, she never finished secondary school in Mexico and she does not speak English. Her mom decided to find her a job in the housekeeping industry and to not send her to school
Sorry to hear about how crazy your day has been. I would offer to help cover your class tomorrow if I did not have a participant signed up for 11. Friday morning is going to work out best for, I will be running Ps all morning Thursday. There is not going to be a Friday research group meeting this week, am running a participant at 10 a.m. that morning, but am free until 3:30 after that.
This program is an excellent investment of my time and I am confident that I will walk away from completion of this program feeling that I am more than ready to contribute my education and training to a professional environment.
I am interested in this program because it'll help me career wise and help me with personal growth. After I graduate high school I am planning on following the pre-med track as a major and this program would help me get a sense of what its going to be like as a pre-med student prior to me going to a college or universities, if I join their medical science track. In addition, although I want to study pre-medicine and science I haven't had much opportunities to study the different branches of sciences outside my school's curriculum, which is usual regents based and they only have 1 AP science class, AP environmental science which isn't the field I am interested in. Furthermore, I would like to join the program because they also focus on helping

A big sister is someone who you should feel comfortable with and not have a problem with sharing your feelings or personal stories to. A big sister is someone who will be there for you no matter what, someone who will mentor and guide you. This is someone who you should not feel intimidated by and a person that you can talk to at any time of the day or night with youe problems. I was so blessed with having a big like mine during this time period. My “Big” in this intake process is Kiara Davis off of the Resilient 25.
Prior to entering the program, I will return to America after a year of working and traveling in Asia. I will be in search for any volunteer or shadowing opportunities that are available at local hospitals. In addition, I will contact volunteer programs that can enrich my medical knowledge base in the New York Area, such as NYC Free Clinic and Project Healthcare. I will also be preparing for the start of classes by familiarizing myself with the material. I understand the rigorousness of this program and these months before the beginning of the semester will be my time to focus for what is to come.
The first reason why I want to participate in NSLI-Y is because I will expand on my language ability. I am currently taking Mandarin Chinese at school, and I have been learning numerous amounts of new words and phrases in class. However, I believe that stepping foot into the country can help me learn more than what I learn in my class. When going to the actual country, I can pick up on tone and fluency more easily, as well as learn modern slang terms and writing. The second reason for participating would be to bond with students. Living in Iowa my whole life, I have not witnessed as much diversity as individuals from certain other states. I become enthusiastic when new exchange students enroll in the school I attend. The students always seem
