I would like to work for Wendy's because I enjoy working with other people and I believe that working at Wendy's would be a great place to begin my journey into fast-food. I am already capable of working under stress and at a quick pace do, a place like Wendy's would only help me strengthen the skills I already have.
I learned about the Chick-fil-A Franchise Opportunity through my own personal research. I began to research an opportunity with Chick-fil-A when I purchased my home in Elgin and found myself driving to Austin to enjoy Chick-fil-A with my children every Saturday.
“I’m working a part-time job at Wendy’s.” What is the first thought that comes to your head when you hear this sentence? Greasy fries, polyester uniforms, cheap food? What about the people who work there? Do you picture a first-time worker, a high school dropout, other pimple-faced workers taking your order? For some reason, in our society, we’ve associated low-quality workers with low-quality food? In his article “Working at Wendy’s” Joey Franklin paves the road towards a new perspective about those who come to work at Wendy’s. Instead of explicit points and unshakable statistics, and powerful calls to action, Franklin alternatively leads gently us through a process of revelation. Drawing from his own experiences working at his local Wendy’s Franklin gives an eye-opening view into the world behind the counter.
As being currently employed with Chick-fil-A, it would be an honor to start a career with this company. It’s the culture and dynamic reputation that makes it stand out and more than just a fast food restaurant, Chick-fil-A goes the extra mile to get involved with the community through their service, events, and opportunities. From personal experience, the response that I take in from the public is amazing and it's a satisfying feeling for me. While working for Chick-fil-A I’ve had great experiences with taking an initiative, solving issues, communicating with customers and making decisions, which are a few reasons why I would be a good fit. Furthermore, I will be able to develop my skills to overcome new exciting challenges and learn more about

In the essay “Working at Wendy’s,” Franklin describes his experience working at Wendy’s. Society has developed a perception of fast food workers. In the beginning, Franklin was guilty of believing the stereotypes created by society. When Franklin first applied to Wendy’s, he describes that the manager only cared if Franklin was intelligent enough to spell his name correctly. Franklin learned to not judge anyone because of their jobs and how it felt to be judged. Franklin learned the different circumstances of why his coworkers worked at Wendy’s. Pathos, ethos, and logos are used in the story to prove that society has created stereotypes for employees of lower class jobs.
The author of this particular article, Working at McDonalds, Amitai Etzioni is a sociology professor at the institute of George Washington University and the founder of the non-profit organization known as Communitarian Netwroks. In this essay he narrates his strong belief that working at any fast food chain restaurants is detrimental towards a students future. He validates his reasons that student do not benefit any long-term skills as taught in these restaurants. He beliefs that these jobs take away time from school and/or after school activities such as sports, clubs, etc. This skews a students perspective of the importance of a high-quality education that leads them towards their dreams and goals of a career in the major they perceive to
The Hooters restaurant has me wondering something. Richard, you mentioned the airline was notoriously sexists in the early days. This is so true. This transgender outrage has me wondering what is in store for the future? So, what if a transgender wanted to work at Hooters? I have seen some men that can put on makeup and wear heels better than I. What if, the transgenders started wanting "equal rights” and to work at Hooters. Sadly, I think it is only a matter of time before something like this happens. As far as what I have seen at Hooters, the clientele is nothing where they belong...but then again, what is the transgenders started going to the restaurant? I have seen/heard of stranger things.... would the courts rule in their favor?
During high school, I had the opportunity to gain valuable working experience. The first job that I ever had was working as a crew member at McDonald 's. At the beginning of my junior year in high school, McDonald 's hired me, and I continued to work there until I graduated. The following summer I obtained a job as a pizza delivery driver at Papa John 's, and I continue to work there today. There are many similarities and differences between McDonald 's and Papa John 's, but my personal work experiences have led me to the decision that Papa John 's is a better company than McDonald 's when comparing the product, compensation, and environment.
The first thing many people notice in individuals varies, but the first thing I notice is always their smile. This more than likely stems from my obsession with my own smile since as early on as I can remember. This obsession has become almost a hobby. I like to find out what is best for my teeth and others by trying many different tooth brushes, tooth pastes, mouth washes and so on to see which are best for whitening, sensitivity and cleaning in general. My love for healthy teeth has led me to desire to be a part of the dental hygiene field as my career. I believe that the best jobs are always the ones you love doing and I would love to be able to give others the beautiful smile they deserve, increasing their confidence and happiness

First off, I want to start off by saying how thankful I am to have the opportunity to win a dining scholarship. I believe I should be awarded this dining scholarship because I am a single unemployed mother, who would be truly grateful for the extra financial assistance. This would definitely assist with maximizing my success at UCF and not to mention, it will minimize my financial burden.

Since leaving school I have developed good studying habits, and I feel this will help in reviewing learning materials as I understand the need for clear and concise information. I'd like to use this role to further my work experience and gain new qualifications and contacts for the future. Education is one sector I am considering for a future career, so this would be an interesting job for me.
During the summer I had made a goal to get my first job. The reason why I wanted a job was because I wanted to make my own money because I didn 't to depend on my family and I had lot’s of spare time because I only had one class during the summer after that class I would have spare time. One day my friend Erwin who had been working at Carl’s Jr tells me if I wanted to get a job and I would forsure get the job if he recommended me.so he asks me if I wanted to get an interview which I responded with a yes because this was a guarnteed job. So I tell him that I would like an interview and he said that we would talk to his manager the following day. So the next day he texts me saying he wanted me to come for the interview the following week. So the day comes and I go to the interview and I meet the manager whose name is Jesus. The interview went by fast he wanted to know if I could work from certain hours which I said that I could also he explained to me that I was going to get the job because I was recommended by one of his best workers which was my friend Erwin. So just like that I got my first job most of the time the manager was talking and all I had to do was answer a few questions. Finally I would have something during my spare time as well as make money which made me excited because I was thinking already of that first paycheck
It was an August in 2011 when my family moved to the United States when I was twelve years old. Coming to this country, not knowing a single word of English is like going to an intensive war without artillery. On our way to Florida, we stopped to eat at burger king. Man! I felt that I was in a fancy restaurant. Back in my town, where they sell cheese burgers, the building was made of brick walls with no cement supporting the bricks and the roof of aluminum. Ordering was simple, writing down what you wanted. On the order hand, in burger king you have to verbally order your food. I can still remember what my mom was trying to say “Nome-row-Uno” with her hand doing signs. It was a struggle getting our order done.
