It always important to stand up for what you believe in. When you don’t do this it makes you seem vulnerable and that’s how people are able to walk all over you.
In my belief, being someone who everyone just thinks is fine to walk all over isn’t right. As for someone who stood up for herself is Rosa Parks. She is an amazing women who impacted many lives when she refused to give up her seat when a white asked her to do so. This lead to many other people also boycotting and also standing up for what they believe in. If they wouldn’t have done this who knows how llife’s for the black community would be today. That’s one of my main reasons why it’s important to stand up for yourselves, but also if you don’t many people will just try to take advantage
Standing Up for What is Right Learning about civil rights was a requirement for many of us during our years in school. We have learned about the leaders and how they have been treated at civil rights movements, we know that because of them the world is how it is today. Although individuals have been taught these things not many was educated about civil rights from a leader’s perspective. A famous leader we all should know about, from his “I have a Dream” speech down to his birthplace; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
own choices to please themselves because all their success and strength lies within themselves, but they must make the choice to use it or not by speaking out about their beliefs. Therefore people can shape their own path when they chose to stand up. People usually say or do something when it pleases others, but they should do something because it cause them to be happy. This idea can impact the lives of others in a positive way, whether or not others are happy with their decisions. I am Malala and Fahrenheit 451 tells how much standing up for whatever they believe in, even though people may disagree, can create a positive difference in others lives.
Rosa Parks is an amazing example of standing up for the cause. She knew she was supposed to hand over her seat to a white man. She knew that the aftermath of such an act at that time was punishable by jail time. And she did it anyway, for the dream of equal rights to all, no matter the race, color,
Rosa parks was arrested for not giving up her seat to a white man . I didnt find out untill it was all over the news and people was talking about it , so at this point i was thinking segergation is not acceptable . Thats when i started making speeches and started marching about segergation, and i also started boycotting . Many people loved what i did , but some people didnt like me at all , but them not liking me wasnt gone stop me from doing what i was doing . Because no african american should be afraid to come outside without thinking they are going to get shot or killed , its just like the white people was trying to take over , and thought they could do harm to us . i came outside i walked up on a group of white people holding up signs
Rosa Parks' refusal to relinquish her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus was a slap in the face to hard line Jim Crow Southerners who thought that blacks are inferior to whites; it also happened to be illegal, and Parks was swiftly and promptly arrested for breaking a Jim Crow law. Little did the police arresting her know that this arrest would lead to the downfall of the very law they felt they needed, and wanted, to enforce. Along with MLK's protests and marches, a Federal Court determined segregation on buses to be unconstitutional. That would not have happened had it not been for Parks' refusal to obey a law that was both ludicrous and morally wrong. Every human on this earth, regardless of skin color or ethnicity, is exactly that: human, and therefore they deserve
Imagine being in a time where people had slaves, and you have to give up your seat to a white person on a bus, knowing if you didn't you would get punnised siverly.Back then when people had slaves it was very hard for them, and the world was full of disagreement, but in those hard times a few people were brave enough to stand out and stand up for thier
Standing up for what you believe in is what you believe in and not what others tell you to believe in.Like a religious faith or the Holidays gift bringers like the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus. It is what you believe in you should stay with unless you change your mind about what you want for your life.
So, what do you think you are going to stand up you believe or you are going to care about what other says. Stand you believe and who cares about what others think, stand up you believe no matter what others think what you believe is.
Rosa Parks and Antigone both stood up to the authority for what they thought was right even though it was against the law. Antigone stood up for her brother when the king Creon said he did not deserve a proper
If you asked for advice from people, most would say, "just put your head down and blend into the crowd." But where would we be today if great thinkers like Thomas Edison just "blended in"? To be frank, America would be quite unlightened. Society brainwashes anyone into thinking or saying what society wants people to say or think. No matter what though, sticking up for what you believe in should always be important to everyone. Standing out of the crowd to make a point for what you believe in is always the right thing to do even if it seems wrong.
Newt has shown me why it is important to stand up for what is right. There are 2 well known incidents in the novel where Newt has stand up for what is right. The first incident happens when JJ called Newt and hang up suddenly with a terrified voice. Newt was worried so he rushed to JJ place. When he arrived, Newt asked JJ what had happened. JJ explained to Newt that the signs on the Sullivan’s Jewelry Store were wrong. It should be Karat instead of Carrot , necklace instead of neckless and the misplaced of the apostrophe. JJ can’t stand the grammatical error as she walks pass the store every day. JJ has already tried to talk to Mr and Mrs Sullivan and asked them to correct these crimes against the language but the couple ignored her. JJ asked
A person I really admire is Rosa Parks. Growing up in Alabama, Rosa came from a black family with poor health. The only education she received was until she was 11, but went on to finish high school later on in life. Rosa was very self conscious growing up and being black in a small Alabama town. She often got bullied by the white kids in her neighbourhood, but she always fought back physically. As Rosa got older, she became well aware of the very less rights black people had. They were forced to enter through the front of the bus, pay their fares, get out, and reenter through the back, where they got their seat in the ‘coloured-section’. In 1945, Rosa entered through the front of the bus, paid her fare, and went straight to her seat, instead
Many different natural and manmade things can be interpreted as aesthetically sublime. Things that are sublime are all around, and they attract a lot of attention from the public. Most tourist attractions are considered sublime. The sublime portrays the strong emotions of awe that people have when they see powerful forces of the natural world. Along with tourist attractions being sublime, most art pieces, especially paintings, are sublime. While some artists paint natural, sublime scenes like mountains, volcanoes, and waterfalls, the artists Erich Mercker, Hans Müller, and Fritz Gärtner demonstrate the sublime by painting industrial scenes that are immense in size and contain bright orange molten metal which creates feelings of power and fear.
If you are not standing up for what you is right, you are standing for what is wrong by being quiet about it. We have gone too far to go back now. We have worked too hard to lose any more lives, to lose any more brothers and sisters of any race, gender, and religion.
Have you ever hesitated giving an answer to something out of fear that it would be wrong, only to find out that you were right all along? Speaking up is something that takes courage, be it answering a problem or even about an unpopular opinion. It’s important to speak up so that you can learn from your mistakes or get a different side to something that you may’ve not considered, rather than just be in an echo chamber of your own making.
