I Believe Soccer is the Greatest Sport in the World
I believe soccer is the greatest sport in the world. Soccer is great because nothing is given to my team, so we are always developing. This means we have our ups and downs, but things always turn out okay. Soccer gives me something to do and let out stress through the game. Lastly, the game gives me a rush of adrenaline I can’t get anywhere else beside sports. This game has led me to become who I am today. I will be the first to say the game has ups and downs. For example, we were playing in Fairfax, Virginia and we were tied 1-1. The opposing team had a breakaway and our goalie, Spencer, went out to stop it and the kid kicked him in the head. Owen, our “back-up” goalie went into the game in Spencer's place. The very next play, the other team got the ball and dribbled across the top of our 18 and banged a shot. One Sunday we were playing one of the toughest games of that season, against the Chaos. They scored a goal with 10 minutes left to tie the game at 1-1, we needed a goal if we wanted to maintain in first. With less than a minute left Eli passed the ball to Brinn, who slots the ball through to Evan. When Evan receives the ball his mindset was scoring. I was running back post screaming my head off hoping he would play me the ball. There was no such luck. Evan didn’t played the ball to me, instead he took off for goal. He was at the PK mark and shot a decent shot, but the keeper knocked it down. I was following the play the whole time so I was waiting right there when the keeper swatted the ball down. I crashed in, and hit a banger that went screaming upper 90. After the shot went in the goal, the ref called the game and everyone was pumped for the last minute
