Teens can’t always rely on their parents to take them everywhere. Being able to drive at 16 maybe early, but it’s a new experience and helps parents out big time. Teens can take themselves to school, work, and sport activities. The first reason why they shouldn’t change the driving age is school. If someone missed the bus and their parent is at work, they can just leave at a later time. This will help student teens get more rest and keep them from ruining their project on the bus. This will also help teens avoid fights on the bus. Being able to drive to school is one thing but work is another. The next reason is if a teen has work, he can drive himself there. Teens are likely to get a job at the age of 16, so driving
Teenagers in America have lots of responsibilities and places to be like their jobs and school. In July of 2015 over 20.3 million 16-24 year olds were employed. If those teens below age 18 or 21 weren’t allowed to drive, that makes their job even harder than they already are.
First of all, it is every teen’s dream to drive any vehicle as soon as possible at the age of 16. Unfortunately, that dream was murdered by many states across the country such as California, South Dakota, and many more according to CBS news. Information from the “Allstate Blog” states that they made a poll and half of the people voted for the minimum of the driving age
teens 16-18 have the highest car crash rates of any age group. Currently the government is only taking precautionary measures. Even though drivers education and written testing are good, there's more the government can do. For such a major issue the government is doing very little to prevent it. The change begins with education. Once people know about the issue then there's more support for government involvement. The government should change the driving age to 18 because politically it would unify the United States under one age and reduce car crashes.
Well we all can't wait to drive and get our license at 16 but some of us are, sometimes a little careless. Did you know that in2013, 2,163 teens in the U.S ages 16-19 were killed and 243,243 were treated in the emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicles crashes. That means that six teens ages 16-19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries. Others are like how would i get to school think about this if there was no cars you would ride a bus or your parents when you were 15 and under you didn't drive and it wouldn't be a problem if you didn't drive till you were 21 nothing would change. Being teens we like to do teen things like party and hang with friends and thing but you have to think
Many states have increased the driving age at which teens can begin driving because of safety concerns. Some people say that teens need to understand how to handle situations or be more mature. Others would say that teens need to be more aware of the dangers that come with driving. The age requirement to drive should not be raised because driving gives one freedom, driving allows teens to work, and driving teaches responsibility.
I don't believe that the driving age should not be changed. I think that the classroom teacher that lets you take the driver test not the hand written test, but the driving part should be a test, but they should do it more than once to really see if they are good drivers. Like when you go to drivers class they should say like “pop drive quiz” or something along those lines maybe do it six times and they have to pass every time or they can't get there license its fair if they really want their license they will try hard and take it serious no one deserves to die or hurt because some kid doesn't know how to drive or even adults mess up that's also why i think that like every four years or so everyone with a driver's license has to go and retake
Teens need the freedom to drive so they don't have to rely on their parents.
Do you really want to be stuck at home until you’re 18 doing nothing with your free time while your parents are gone? Don’t you want to be able to roam around places and probably take extracurricular activities on your own time and hang with friends too? Being able to drive is what many children in our society think about these days. When many teenagers reach the age of 15 ½ they are allowed to officially take their permit test to receive their permit for driving with an adult. After they have officially turned 16 they may take the behind-the wheel driving exam for a driver’s license, but the USA plans to change the driving age from 16 to 18. This idea seems to be a mistake seen in many ways. I believe that they shouldn’t change the
One crucial evidence used in the case to raise the driving age is the mental stage teenagers are in at this age. Teen brains at sixteen aren't as developed as an eighteen-year-old brain. This is showcased in a study on the Chicago Tribune that
Why should the driving age be lowered to 16? In this essay I will be telling you why this should be introduced.
One reason students should be able to drive at 16 is because they have work after school. It's important to be able to drive yourself to work so you don't have to depend on anyone but yourself to get you there on time. See
Do you think that we should be able to drive at 16 ? well i think that we should be able to drive because the teens siblings will need a ride to school and they will have to walk a long way to school like me i go to copper trail and i live far so i have to walk to school with a lot of bags my mother won't take me or my father so this my opinion.
Although teenagers and kids need a mode of transportation, the driving age should be raised because teens need to train and practice more, there are many distractions in the car such as phones, and young adults are very immature and sometimes hormones cloud their vision. One thing that changing the age would do
The big debate as to whether the legal driving age should be raised to eighteen is an ongoing issue. There are both arguments for and against this matter. Younger drivers, as well as old ones, can cause many life-threatening accidents; therefore, raising the minimum driving age could significantly reduce the number of accidents. The accident rates can be lowered considerably if the legal driving age is bumped up to eighteen. This would mean that no more kids could get hurt or worse, killed in a car accident.
Raising the age to eighteen doesn’t provide them more information to drive. It just takes them longer to be able to travel by themselves. Also eighteen is closer to being able to do drugs and they have an excuse to do drugs. Which is not ok. Also if you raise the age, what happens to the people at age sixteen who have a car already? They just have to take
