Raising the Minimum Driving Age Everyone has felt that feeling where they cannot wait to learn how to drive and to get behind the wheel. Little do they know, driving causes a number of deaths every year. Teen drivers are involved in more car-related accidents than any other drivers.
The minimum driving age shouldn’t be raise because student’s will not listen to the law they will drive anyway, that would be bad for the kids parents for letting their child drive, that will also reflect on the Law because since they raise the driving age this was the outcome since their age was raise. Would be having more students going to juvenile detention or even worse getting in car accidents. “Young drivers, between 15 and 20 years old, accounted right now that 6.4 percent of the
The current driving age of sixteen is implemented in almost every state in the United States. Most states have become accustomed to the current driving age, but recently there are certain states that believe that the legal driving age should be raised due to various reasons. The main argument for
I don’t think that they should raise the driving age to eighteen. I don’t think they should because it’s not fair. Just like the passage said it’s not going to stop the crashes. I think people should go through the Graduated Licensing Program. It’s a more advanced program and it allows people to be more prepared for driving. It teaches them the consequences and how dangerous it is.
Putting teens on the road at a young age as low as 15-16-years-old allows them to gain experience that will help them become more accustomed to the road when they get their driving licences at 18. As stated in the article, Teenage Driving Laws May Just Delay Deadly Crashes, it says “Many teenagers, rather than deal with the extra restrictions for 16-17 -year-olds, are simply waiting until they turn 18, and skipping the restrictions altogether. As a result, a greater proportion of inexperienced drivers hit the road” (40). This proves that teens who do not drive at 16 are more likely to get into car crashes, because they wait til 18 to avoid being restricted like the 16- 17- year-olds. Teens who skip the 16 -17-year-old restrictions are just starving themselves from gaining the early knowledge on driving that is needed to prevent fatal crashes. The same article also says that, “There have been 1,348 fewer deadly crashes involving 16-year-old
Responsibility is key in life. Learning to drive teaches a great need for responsibility, because if it is not taken serious then a person’s life could become endangered. Some will say that 16 year olds should not be allowed to
Adolescents can be immature, careless and reckless, especially when they’re trying to show off to their other friends. The general public somewhat views eighteen as an appropriate age at which young people grow into adults. As a result, driving should be one of those privileges and responsibilities of being welcomed into adulthood. On the other hand, permitting young people to drive at the same age as they are allowed to consume legal drugs such as alcohol and nicotine surely is a big step in the wrong direction. By agreeing to let young people to have the responsibility to drive without the attraction of illegal drugs, nonetheless, you are giving them an opportunity to learn, first hand, the real risks, threats and encounters of driving, hopefully being able to benefit young people make better and more responsible decisions whilst driving. Not only is driving not equal to that of drinking or smoking as it requires an ability test, but those who do drive have to abide to strict laws and registrations. Adolescents are taught how to properly drive cars and have to be able to prove that they can perform to a specific level before they are able to get their licences.
. If they did raise the driving age to 18 it would be a lot of money to get the age 16 to 18 it would be a lot of money to get the driving age raised so i think they should keep it the same so they want have to take all that money just to get to get the

Driving age should be raised to age 21 Well we all can't wait to drive and get our license at 16 but some of us are, sometimes a little careless. Did you know that in2013, 2,163 teens in the U.S ages 16-19 were killed and 243,243 were treated in the emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicles crashes. That means that six teens ages 16-19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries. Others are like how would i get to school think about this if there was no cars you would ride a bus or your parents when you were 15 and under you didn't drive and it wouldn't be a problem if you didn't drive till you were 21 nothing would change. Being teens we like to do teen things like party and hang with friends and thing but you have to think

Should The Driving Age be Lowered or Raised? Teenagers all around the country are beginning to drive. In the mind of a teenager, turning 16 and being able to drive is an exciting achievement. They are finally free to drive without an adult in the car with them. Many people believe the age to get a license should be lowered to 15 years old, while others think it should be raised to 18 years of age. Some states have already raised the age to 17 years old instead of 16. However, the question still remains, should the driving age be lowered to 15 years old, or raised to 18 years old?
The first reason that the legal driving age should remain sixteen, is because at this age, the vast majority of teens are still in high school and living at home. This means that such adolescents are more supervised. As a result, young drivers learning how to operate a vehicle can be closely monitored and taught appropriate driving habits. Furthermore, college kids at eighteen are more likely to abuse recently gained independence by means of drinking or texting and driving, whereas teens at sixteen years old will be watched over by parents and teachers to be sure that such risks are avoided. In other words, teens at sixteen years old have their driving practices more closely monitored than newly independent eighteen year olds,
Should the driving age be lowered to 16? It is a question that could reverberate across the country. I respectively disagree with lowering the driving age to 16. I am writing you this letter to inform you about how I feel about this issue.
