According to Merriam-Webster, ethics is defined as an area of study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behavior. Some would argue that definition is rather vague. A more complete understanding of ethics would suggest that it is more than just an area of study but rather a way of life; moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior. If one is ethical and has good moral standards, it is usually seen in that person. Simply put, ethics could be considered the standards of behavior as to which society accepts.

Webster’s Dictionary defines ethics as “a set of moral principles: a theory or system of moral values.” (Merriam-Webster, Incorporated, 2011). Every person has ethics that he or she lives by, but sometimes in the business world many unethical business transactions occur. People do not realize that sometimes the statistics that he or she are fed have been falsified in order to get him or her to purchase a product or lure him or her in to participate in via false promises.

Ethics are principles of behaviour that distinguish between right and wrong. Resnik (2011) defines ethics as” a method, procedure, or perspective for deciding how to act and for analysing complex problems and issues” (p.1). People face ethical decisions; however, People working in business frequently face ethical decisions. Business ethics is the evaluation of business activities and behaviour as right or wrong (Society for Business Ethics, 1991).

Ethics refers to the practice of behaviors that demonstrate proper respect for individuals. Maintaining ethics in business and government operations is the lifeblood of a functioning economy. When businesses and governments act unethically, people that operate within and outside of these large bodies can be adversely effected. Unethical behavior is usually hidden from the general public

Ethics, also know as moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy concerned with the study of questions of right and wrong and how we ought to live. Ethics involves making moral judgements about what is right and wrong, good or bad. Right and wrong are qualities or moral judgements we assign in action and conduct. Ethics proves us with a way to make more choices when we are uncertain about what do in a situation involving moral issues.

I disagree with what the patient said about that Ten Command which say talks about Thou shall not kill or murder, I feel what good of life the mother can give the fetus if she cannot find food to eat for herself. I feel like giving the fetus a chance to live is like punishing the mother for being irresponsible. The mother should be given a second chance to change her life and be a better person. This might seem cruel but it is what I feel. I also feel that Thous shall kill commandment was specific about fighting battle in the war with weapons, and it did not say nothing about abortion. Ethics are significant in business and our community because it determines your company and community’s reputation, attracts loyal customers, and boosts your business’s profit and your community’s economy.

Ethical is relating to moral principles or the branch of knowledge dealing with these. The actual word ‘ethics’ is from the Greek ethos, a concept that encompasses. ‘Habit’, ‘custom’ ‘character’ so has a sense of ‘a way of doing something’, namely coming to a decision. Simply put, ethics is the way humans relate.

Ethics cannot be “pinned down” to a certain definition, meaning that people perceive the word “ethical” in many different ranges. In the health care organization for example, a code of ethics is a set of principles that guide the healthcare organization in its programs, policies and decisions for the business. It is very important to have a good ethic in any work place. The good ethic of the healthcare organization can boost and expend the business. By contrast, Unethical is the opposite of being ethical. In an unethical situation, people will not obey to the correct behavior or the acknowledged behavioral arrangement of the society. Unethical behaviors can lead our society to radical circumstances as well. As in ethics, there are some commonly mutual unethical practices

Ethics refers to the accepted code of conduct by an individual while performing his/her duties. It is a set of principles that can result to critically changing actions and choices that had been made previously. Ethics can be referred to as a branch of philosophy that assist in dealing with the decision making dynamics on what is wrong or right (Wöhlke, Wiesemann, Schicktanz, & Carmi, 2012).

In this project I am asked to reflect on what ethics means to me. Not only in my personal life but also in a work setting, and in our society. During our reflection I am asked to give multiple personal examples to support my meaning of ethics. Lastly I will connect the three questions together with a conclusion that I hope will help a reader understand the subject of ethics.

There is no question if it is not ethical or legal it would be considered to unethical and simply wrong for a person to do. In this case, when people are questioning you or a someone else based on what you did, and many people would question if it is ethically correct and judge the decisions you had made to see if it has merits. While many decisions that a person makes may look unethical, it other cases many people would see it as ethical to others. The feelings and conscience of one person may use it as a guide to know what is ethically the
