Defining a species can be tricky. The most common way to define a species is with the biological species concept that says a species is a group of individuals that can have fertile offspring. Microbes, however, reproduce asexually with no need for a partner. Does that mean they are not a species? The New Mexico whiptail lizards are a species, but since there are no males, the females lay eggs with no male fertilization. Species of the Potentilla genus were found to readily hybridize with one another even though the two species are vastly different. These findings led the, “fuzzy species concept,” that says that data should be used to designate a species and that the boundaries to define on are fuzzy. Matt Haber says we should think of fuzzy

Florentine and Rose-Anna do not seem similar in any way; many may argue to say that they are similar due to the amount of time and effort they put into providing for the family. I however, do not think that is a valid reason to say they are similar in any way. The reason being, they provide with different intentions. Rose-Anna obeys and believes in her role as the mother of the family and that is all; Florentine however, sees herself outside of the family sphere. Rose-Anna provides for the family because that is her duty as a mother; to provide for the family in every way she can (cooking, cleaning, sewing, etc). Florentine provides for the family financially, but she also identifies herself as more than just the daughter of Rose-Anna and Azarius.

During game 3 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yuli Gurriel hit a solo homerun off of Yu Darvish but that wasn’t the end of the story. Thematically very different, “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allen Poe and “A&P” by John Updike are both tales told through the eyes of one main character and one has to be conscious of how truthful and reliable those characters words are. However, while both stories are told in the first person, the reliability of both Montresor and Sammy differ greatly.
Betrayal, a small word, with a big price. A price that one person always has to pay, while the other person stands there as if he was a salesman, hounding that individual until he got what he wanted. The idea of betrayal and it’s consequences are shown in the short story, “The Cask of Amontillado,” by Edgar Allan Poe, and the poem, “Porphyria’s Lover,” by Robert Browning. In, The Cask of Amontillado, Fortunato was the buyer, and Montresor was the salesman. Montresor reeled in Fortunato, using Amontillado, a certain type of wine, as the bait. Montresor brought Fortunato deep inside the lifeless walls of the catacombs, where he was supposed to find the Amontillado. Little did he know that he was staring death right in the face. With
Logistically, however, the two are not considered of the same species because they live so far apart that in nature it is very rare that the two would breed, although it has happened before. Therefore, there is a prezygotic barrier rather than a postzygotic barrier. The same may be for Bigfoots and
Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado” is a goosebump-evoking tale that follows one man’s twisted plot for revenge. Although carnival season is in full-swing above ground, Fortunato finds himself being lead to his death underground in the catacombs. His “past insults” will ensure that he will never again participate in such feasts and merriment; Montresor, his “frenemy”, will make sure of that. As if the story isn’t creepy enough, Poe uses dialogue and sensory details to produce a mood that is both suspenseful and dark.
In the story "The Cask of Amontillado," Edgar Allan establishes the basic structure of the plot, which is a fine example of flashback. In the text, this section of the structure is determined by the strategy of informing the reader about the events that took place before the opening of the works of the scene. This is defined in "The Cask of Amontillado" during the opening ceremony, when Poe illustrates the anger and malice that experienced Montresor to
