Cancer is a harmful disease that is caused by uncontrolled dividing of abnormal cells. This disease can affect people of all ages and ethnic groups. However, there are many types of cancer that attacks different parts of the body. Cancer can happen in any body part or in the organs and tissues of the body. Tumors are a part of cancer and theses happen when swelling of a body part is caused by unusual growth of that tissue. Examples of cancer is: brain, lung, liver, prostate, skin, stomach, breast, and ovarian. The disease starts with alterations happening in one cell and the alterations are in the DNA. The DNA mutation can be a duplication of the DNA sequence and a single change in the sequence can lead to the product of mutant protein. These mutations can disrupt the cell’s life cycle and the growth and that can lead to the development of more tumors. …show more content…
The cells then go unchecked and that only makes more and even more cancer cells. If there are no signals then the cell doesn't know when to die and that is why cancer spreads across the body. On the other hand, tumor cells need nutrients and deposit waste to keep growing in size. These cells lure blood vessels, that will grow in the tumor. People more than likely die from cancer due to the cancerous cells that spread and make colonies in the entire body. However, cancer cells can go undetected because the cells don't get detected on the monitors and the result to that is that the cancer can continue to

Bebop is the first stylistic shift the represented the movement away from the current jazz, the Swing. In this style of music, the chord usage becomes lot more complex using extensions such as 9th, 11th, and 13ths but also the flatted 5ths. Improvisation has also been greatly developed. The improvers now used the underlying chords as their basis of improvisation with combination to virtuosic quick notes in a successful complex rhythm. Jam session is another important aspect in Bebop as this is where the young and old musicians informally gather together to play their own ideas of Jazz, not the standard way of the Swings.
A cancer cell is formed when the cell’s DNA is damaged but not repaired. Instead of the cell dying, like a normal cell, it reproduces new cells which also have the damaged DNA that the original cell had. Factors that can cause a cell to be damaged are mistakes during the reproduction of the cell, environmental reasons, such as smoking or too much sun exposure. The cancer cells form tumors which then invade the tissue of a certain body part, like the breast, lungs, brain, or prostate. Cancer can spread sometimes from body part to body part, but is named from where it starts. For instance, if somebody were to be diagnosed with breast cancer, and developed cancer in their lungs, it would be metastatic lung cancer. Metastasis is how cancer can spread to other body

Cancer is a disease that can change the life of a person no matter their age or nationality. Cancer can range from being life threatening to a low risk of death. Cancer cells are cells that do not follow the regular cell growth and division pattern. They go through cell division and produce rapidly. Cancer cells differ from regulating cells in the body because normal cells eventually die. Cancer cells, on the other hand, do not die when they should causing it to be very hard to cure cancer in your body.
Cancer is defined by the National Cancer Institute as “the name given to a collection of related diseases. In all types of cancer, some of the body’s cells begin to divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissues.” Cancer can develop at almost any part of the human body and anyone can develop cancer, although risk typically increases with age because most cancers tend to require many years to develop. “Normally, human cells grow and divide to form new cells as the body needs them. When cells grow old or become damaged, they die, and new cells take their place. When cancer develops, however, this orderly process breaks down. As cells become more and more abnormal, old or damaged cells survive when they should die, and new cells form when they are not needed. These extra cells can divide without stopping and may form growths called tumors” (cancer.gov). Cancerous tumors are defined as malignant meaning that they can spread to nearby tissues or metastasize to distant places in places within the body and form new cancerous tumors. There are over 100 forms of cancer and they are usually named after the organs or tissues where the cancers originate. Staging of cancer is used to “describe the severity of a person’s cancer based on the size and/or extent (reach) of the original (primary) tumor and whether or not cancer has spread in the body” (cancer.gov). The importance’s of staging cancer is to assist the doctor with planning appropriate treatments to fight the cancer
Cancer occurs when cells divide uncontrollably. Cells keep dividing even though new cells are not needed. Change from normal to cancerous cells requires gene alterations.
Ancient roman had many campaigns of conquest during its history, but its most influential war may have been the ones it fought against itself. Power hungry leaders and political backstabbing made civil war an ever-present part of roman life, and the infighting eventually helped trigger both the fall of the the roman republic and the its fracture and decline.
Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells grow or multiply without control, the cells can also affect other parts of the body by spreading. There are different types of cancer. They are usually named after the organ or cell they start in. The body is completely made up of cells, and of course we all know that cancer starts in cells, when cells become old they die and new cells are produced. This process sometimes goes wrong and the cell can mutate and affect normal cell growth. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers there is. Breast cancer is
When mutations in the genes accumulate over time in multiple genes that are in control of cell proliferation the cells become cancerous ("Cell Division and Cancer"). After this occurs the cells begin to grow and divide rapidly causing lumps called tumors to form ("How cancer starts"). The gene mutations that can cause breast cancer are many. Some common causes include mutations in proto-oncogenes which are genes that assist the cell in growing normally. When they mutate or are too abundant they can activate randomly causing cells to grow and multiply out of control. Another cause is inherited gene changes. These inherited DNA mutations cause increased risk for developing certain types of cancer such as breast cancer. For example those
Cancer is due to uncontrollable growth of cells. Cancer cells differ from normal cells as it alters from a systematic cell growth, division and apoptosis. Cancer forms when apoptosis fails to begin. Unlike normal cells, cancer cells do not experience programmed cell death. Hence, cancer cells will continue to multiply and segregate. This in turn, triggers a magnitude of abnormal cells that grow without limitation. Lung cancer occurs when abnormal cells develop within the lungs, causing disruption to the functions of normal lung cells. Lung cancers are highly due to the consequence of inhaling carcinogenic substances, such as tobacco and arsenic. These carcinogenic substances have damaging effects to DNA. Lung cancer is the leading cause of
Cancer is a genetic disease. The cells in our body normally function by growing, dividing, dying off, and then being replaced. In cancer cells, the body produces cells uncontrollably, which can cause tumors to form. A tumor is a mass full of cells. Although, tumors can mean cancer, there are cases in which tumors are not cancerous. There are two types of tumors, they are: benign and malignant. Benign means there
Cancer is a disease/ a malignant growth or tumor caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body. Cancer develops when the body’s accustomed control mechanism ceases to work. Cells grow out of control, forming new, abnormal cells. These extra cells may form an abundance of tissue. This abundance of tissue is called a tumor. Some cancers, such as leukemia, do not form tumors. Cancer can form anywhere on the human body.
Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells that do not correctly function until it spreads to a huge amount which can cause death. Cancer is basically just the disease of genes because of how it affects one cell that multiplies until it is cured or causes the death of someone. “ Cancer is not just one disease but a group of almost one hundred different types of malignant diseases” L. Fleming Fallon and Melinda Oberleitner. Gale. (2013). In more details, Cancer is the malfunction of the genes in producing faulty proteins. Once this happens the cell begins to grow uncontrollably into a tumor or neoplasm which can harm the body. Tumors can be classified as benign or malignant. Once the tumor or neoplasm is formed it is the duty of the immune
The abnormal growth of cells leads cancer. The damaged cell of mass and tissues or lumps which become harmful. The lump or masses of tissue is known as tumors. The uncontrolled growth of tissue affects human body functions. The Digestive, circulatory and nervous system get affected badly due to tumors. [12]
