In today’s climate of international trade, firms must consider several influences affecting to them to remain competitive and improve performance. This paper introduces a descriptive framework for understanding the factors that impact to FPT Software Company. They are globalization, global crisis, technology, social trends, workforce diversify, and social responsibility.

FPT Software (Fsoft) was established in 1988 as a division of FPT Corporation and it quickly became a biggest Information Communications Technology Company in VietNam. Since the social trends are changeable, customer’s requirement to quality of software increase. In the past, consumers only needed software with the basic functions. Today, customers want more than that. They expect an application having more advance functions, more beautiful in design but slighter of size etc., triggering the immediate influences to the sale of FPT software. Professionally, Fsoft always keeps pace with the changes of social trends to provide desired application for the potential customers. And the labor force is the main factor contributed to this success. FPT software prefers young workers from 20 to 35 years old because of a good memory and quick adaptability with new surroundings to catch up with the new technologies.

In terms of social responsibility, Fsoft has developed the website http://www.vicongdong.vn - a community network. This community is where the community can both participate in and monitor the processes from planning to reporting, helping Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam be really effective.
