Some people work inside a factory and never think about the danger around them. They have worked for many years in the same place; the motion/movement of the job becomes as natural as walking or talking. In most factories, accidents happen because of not following the rules and regulations, and horseplay. Some jobs within a factory may and will have special safety equipment, and garments, which employees do have to use for his or her own safety and protection. There are four painters; two are painting, the other two are getting the xylene/acetone wash ready to clean the paint guns that the other two are using. Xylene/acetone, chemical paint thinners and will burn your skin if you are not wearing the proper suit and gloves. At this point, you have to wear goggles to prevent the chemicals from accentually getting in your eyes. Now when these two paints are finished setting up for all the cleaning then they will start dressing to paint and will relieve the other two in one hour. Each painter has his or her own paint gun, and cleaning the guns every hour first keeps a smooth flow of paint, but also helps keep the painters more attentive. There have been accidents in the paint room but nothing serious. The painters set this type of structure themselves, so they were not doing repetitive work constantly, and so that their hands and arms were not as tired when they had to handle the chemicals which means less likely of spillage. Last and the third step of the job in the paint department, the two take-off lines. Now employees here do not have to wear the arm guards but they do have to wear heat-resisted gloves.
