The heavy breathing and sweat slowly dripping down Bill’s face to his neck becomes intense. Bill forcefully wipes the sweat and stares out to the road while gripping firmly on his steering wheel. Stuck in traffic among many other cars and a bus full of kids. The kids begin to throw objects outside the bus as men argue on their cellular phones and the radio playing distinctly in the background is just the beginning of Falling Down. In the movie, directed by Joel Schumacher, we see the life of William D-Fens Foster better known as Bill played by Michael Douglas. The movie is well brought to us; it shows the viewers Bill’s goal by using suspense and thriller. For the most part, it may attract more viewers to engage in the film because of its genre. As each sweat drops, Bill is tightly gripping the steering wheel. We ponder what is going to happen next? Is something wrong with Bill? More and more sweat is dripping and Bill isn't able to get his air conditioner up and running, there is something physically wrong with him just not sure what it is. With Bill, he had a goal of being at his daughter’s birthday party and celebrating it with her. However, with this situation, there were many obstacles to reach his goal. The goal he wanted wasn't achieved because after all the crimes he committed he finally saw his ex-wife Beth with his daughter at the Pier, which was not the birthday party instead it was his death. Bill died after pulling out the water gun. This shows that his actions were not great. In many other movies, you would see the protagonist to be the good guy and they usually reach their goals; however, with Bill he did not, he died by being shot over the Pier where he fell into the
