The FS family came to the agency's attention on 03/03/16 (prior to the PUR) for a report of physical abuse/passive physical abuse against the mother and unspecified physical abuse by the mother’s paramour with the alleged child victim being the oldest child in the family. Although the allegations were not substantiated, the agency held a multidisciplinary staffing due to the family having multiple investigations and non-accepted reports. The multidisciplinary staffing recommendations were to refer the family for voluntary Family Services program and to contact service providers for information. The family was opened on 5/2/2016 in Family Services. The family household consisted of the mother and her 2 children. The 2nd child’s father resided

Experiential family theory is about the experiences that a family goes through in therapy and what it symbolizes to them. Experiential family theory is also well known as symbolic experiential family theory because the theory is about what the family takes out of the experience and what they use to describe their family. According to Smith (1998), the founder, Carl Whitaker, felt that it was the therapist’s responsibility to create these experiences in the sessions to help the family grow. Carl Whitaker accomplished this with impulse and creativity. He understood the family unit and knew that families could be cruel, but he believed the family had the ability to restore their family unit (Percy, 1990). The theory is not a traditional one,

Ms. Goodall living situation is not stable. She at first did not have any place to stay for herself and her daughter, Myan.
The three strengths that I can see in the family is, Elena Martinez a mother of five boys ranging from the ages of 1 thru 16 years old. Elena is currently living with her youngest child’s father William Smith Sr. In the past Elena used drugs and was incarcerated for drug use; her two youngest children tested positive for drugs at birth. Elena went voluntarily to a rehab treatment center to get off drugs and to learn how to live a drug-free lifestyle. Aurora Garcia her mom offered to move in with the kids and take care of them while Elena was in rehab. Aurora being an ex-drug user herself, now she is clean of drugs. Antonio was the oldest child home with his younger brothers. William Jr. wouldn’t stop crying; something was wrong with him. Antonio,
I selected my Family Collaborative Project as an artifact that represents my competency to assess the ongoing learning of children (including those with disabilities) birth-to-three in a collaborative manner with paraprofessionals and families. I used two different screening tools based on a systematic approach of assessment: Developmental Screen Ages & Stages and the Assessment, Evaluation and Programming System (AEPS). The Family Collaborative Project encompassed my ability to collect screening data, assess and record children’s on-going development, use developmentally appropriate learning outcomes that align with Kentucky Early Childhood Standards. Further the results of the assessment provided me the opportunity to work as a team with families, paraprofessionals and teachers to design learning outcomes and plan future services and instruction.

Tammy, I agree that the right of the human subjects in debate is the right to withdraw from this research. I believe there were many opportunities in this case study for improvement. Working in health care can be very challenging, especially when you are that patient’s advocate. When this research study was presented to the Gentry family all the information had not been included in this consent and the family was not informed of the potential of complications. Education should have been given to the family to include the potential complications related to IV filtration, further procedures that may be required to continue with this study. The family should have also been informed of the multiple sticks that were performed over the last several
I think there are many potential reasons that the projected family income is decreasing over the next 4 years. This can be due to many households relocating. Also, many people are older in this community. If lots of citizens are older they will receive pension checks, which may be lower than their standard income.
"To serve is beautiful, but only if it is done with joy and a whole heart and a free mind." is a quote by Pearl S. Buck and it describes a corporation and the staff at Families, Inc. Counseling Services. It is one of the many corporations that every day when the staff comes to work, they do their jobs with joy, a whole heart and a smile to help the clients in need.
After discussing with the family, the nurse works with them to come up with some goals. The long-term goal is that the family will implement and comply with the prescribed treatments. By complying with the prescribed treatments, it will hopefully lead to less conflict. If Pat Sr. and Pat are taking medicine and going to therapy, the conflict should decrease. The family decides with the nurse that this is a good goal to work toward for long-term benefit.
There are many strengths within this family of origin. I commend Jack for all that he has accomplished for himself despite the hardships he faced while growing up. He was able to grow from his family’s chaos and earn a great job. Jack has an excellent work ethic, and he is a loving and devoted husband and father. He has provided a lovely home in a respectable community for his family. He was active in his town and possessed the ability to interact with the members of his neighborhood. Jill is a beautiful mother, devoted wife, and she is also very active in her community. Jill had a healthy relationship with her father and is very close with her mother. They are a beautiful family that ended up in an unfortunate situation. This family is proof that becoming homeless can happen to anyone.
