But behind each Harry Potter character holds a back story that the pages can not contain. After all, the books can only publish a number of pages. Characters that are not as prominent such as Harry, Hermione and Ron did not get a lot of screen time and pages. However, Fantastic Beasts 2 might reveal the truth behind one character on screen.

Granted Dumbledore cared for Harry more than any other in his own way, but it was Dumbledore who demanded Harry be left with his bitter relatives. It was Dumbledore who hired the fraud Lockhart, the drunken Trelawney, and even hired Quirrel who had the parasitic life form of Voldemort attached to the back of his head. It was Dumbledore who sent two thirteen-year-old out with a Ministry regulated time-turner out to try and save the condemned Buckbeak and innocent Azkaban escapee Sirius Black. It was Dumbledore who gifted eleven-year-old Harry the Invisibility cloak with the instructions to “[u]se it well (1:202)” thus encouraging a great deal of adventures and rule-breaking.
Both of these texts use narration to enable readers to see how each protagonist grows and matures over the course of the text. Rowling uses the technique of third person narration to show that in the beginning Harry is scared and insecure and has frequent feelings of loneliness and has a very low sense of self-worth. This is due to his upbringing and the neglectful actions of his guardians the Dursley’s. “Harry was used to spiders, because the cupboard under the stairs was full of them, and that was where he slept.” His sudden fame as a wizard at Hogwarts comes not just as a total contrast to his earlier forgotten misery, but as a fate that we feel is very much deserved after his youthful suffering. By the end of novel he is more confident in himself, his future and his abilities, he gains a significant amount of self-confidence as shown through his future interactions with his peers and in particular the Dursley’s.“...It was addressed to you by

With the help of his friends, Harry faces an attempted resurgence of the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents, but failed to kill Harry when he was just a year old. In the story, Harry reviews his life, realizing that he wasted his talent and ability through delay and in an unhappy marriage “ He destroyed his talent himself by not using it.” (Hemingway) All of Harry’s memories dealt with passing things he had experienced in a specific time in the past that he aimed to write about, but he never got the chance to do so because his life was being cut short. The author made Harry an existing character based on what he wished to feel once his life comes to the
