Tim Green’s book, Football hero, is about a boy named Ty Lewis who loss his parents in a car accident. Due to this, he had to move to New Jersey to live with this Uncle Gus and Aunt Virginia who are not very supportive of his dreams. Ty is passionate about football and is very good at it too. He is the best player on his team and his brother now plays for the New York Jets NFL team. Ty’s speed on the field got him recruited by Coach V but his Uncle Gus will not let him play.

Charlie Gaines is a 7th grader who is a backup linebacker for his school football team and a genius when it comes to fantasy football and trivia. He talks to the owner of the LA Bulldogs, a fictional NFL team, and suggests various players to sign, earning him fame and the team a chance to make it to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. The theme of Fantasy League, which is that things are not always as they appear, is demonstrated and illustrated by the characters, the plot, and the setting in the novel.

Fantasy football is a game based on strong predictions of undetermined performances of real professional players. Some call it the game of chance and some like to term it as the game of skill, many feel enthusiasts of fantasy football label it as game of skill because, predominantly, games of chances are played for money and are thus, considered as illegal in several countries. But doesn’t majority of people consider that casino gambling and sports betting are skill based games involving strategical thoughts, mathematical calculations and myriad of probability. Moreover, betting and gambling involves great deal of money but it really isn’t necessary that fantasy football has to be played for money. Although gambling and fantasy football rallies side by side, but it would be impolite to ignore the fact that it has a game theory that is exclusively based on genuine facts and statistics.

Each brain has suffered brain trauma or brain diseases. The families of the former players want to see if there is a connection between football and psychological harm. After deep analysis, she confirms this connection; however, she believes each player knew the risks of playing contact sports (King).

In Qb 1 by Mike Lupica, Jake, a high school quarterback, battles for a starting position. In the beginning, Jake wants to become the starting quarterback but he has to overcome some problems along the way. The problems Jake has are they is already two quarterbacks ahead of him so if he wants to be the starter he needs to work extra hard for it. Even though he’s not the starter and doesn’t play much, he wants his dad to come to the games and watch. The only problem is his dads biased in Jakes brothers games instead of going to Jakes.

Nate Brodie has a dream to meet Tom Brady and to win a million dollars. The only way he can accomplish this goal is with hard work and determination. So he starts by practicing everyday, all day he throws a football through a tire. He does this to work on his accuracy and so he knows he can do it. He also practices by being on the high school football team. There is so much on the line for him at the time. His parents are in financial trouble and his best friend is going to go blind if they don't get a surgery soon.
