In a rush and need something to eat fast! Kids have to go to school early in the morning and Mom is on her way to work! Why not stop at McDonalds and grab breakfast, it helps with saving time. Fast food has become the solution for many families, students, and kids. Food is a key factor is maintaining a healthy lifestyle, along with exercising. With so many different options and meals to eat one person could never get tired of the same thing. Fast food is supposed to be served quicker than cooking at home and not as expensive. According to most articles, the trans-fat in fast food is the most deadly ingredient in fast food. Trans-fat are created when hydrogen is added to liquid oils so they can remain solid in room temperature. Also, think about your digestive system. When eating salad, vegetables, and fruit you can have a normal bowel (or cleanse) movement. Now imagine if you have eaten McDonalds for breakfast on Monday, Tuesday you had Chick-fil-A twice, and for the weekend you at taco bell. At this point, your digestive system is abnormal which causes other issues. With all the trans-fat, sodium, and other toxic ingredients your body can’t dispose of the built up fast food. The body will begin to develop other problems that can be painful. Food poison, upset stomach, diarrhea, and constipation are just a few problems related with fast food. There’s also diseases called Gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Gastro esophageal reflux disease is a chronic digestive disease that occurs when stomach acid/content flows back you’re your food pipe. The backwash (reflux) irritates the lining of your esophagus and cause GERD. (Page, 1998-2014) While these diseases are curable they can result in major life changing effects to the body.
