She’s kind of dramatic, but I love it because she’s dramatic in a funny way, if that makes sense. I can relate to her because I’m also like that. I like to make people think that I’m dramatic, but in reality I’m not. In the movie Pitch Perfect, Fat Amy is the funny one. She is the one who makes the audience laugh, and from my point of view, I feel like I can relate to Fat Amy because I love making people laugh. When I make people smile or at least giggle, it satisfies me. In the movie, Fat Amy has a funny outlook on everything. She makes a joke out of everything, even if she doesn’t mean to. I always see a funny side to everything. Some people think it’s not good, but I think it is sometimes because I don’t like to be serious at all times.
Her attitude changes threw out the play, she’s very confident in the beginning, she doesn’t really talk back to anyone, but as it goes on her attitude changes and she’s very upset all the time and depressed.
She is funny, like she can make the whole world laugh. I’m not as good of a joker person as my
The character I picked was Lisa in a movie called Girl, Interrupted. Lisa has been in a mental hospital for already 8 years and was diagnosed as a sociopath or an anti social personality disorder. Lisa was the most powerful among the patients. She bullies people just for her to manipulate them, and people will be scared of her. Lisa's behavior on the movie was rebelllious, reckless, violent, manipulative, impulsive and wild.
It takes a lot to build up to that point kind of like the saying bottling it up. Amy has been bottling up this negative energy and now it has come out but she has reached the tipping point and now it is time for her to come down to reality and in this case she goes back to normal and even better, which shows great development in many aspects. These aspects are going from a snotty brat to being a nice young woman like she should have been to begin with. Throughout the story she obviously changes for the better provided evidence given on the first couple
Throughout life, people will meet others who are different from them. People have different backgrounds, ethnicities, lifestyles, etc. Everyone is unique in their own way. In some situations, people will act very different, according to their personality. Some people are not patient and will react angrily to certain things, while others will act calmly. For example, a person with a narcissistic personality disorder, will think that they always need attention. They also may be preoccupied with fantasies of their own success, power, intelligence, or beauty. Joan Crawford (Faye Dunaway) is someone who looks as if she has this
Grace Blakely is the main character of All Fall Down. She is very daring and stubborn and she has been through a lot for a girl her age. Her brother and father are both in the military and she is now living with her grandfather in Adria. Grace was thirteen when she watched her mother die in a fire and while everybody says it was an accident, Grace knows it was not. She knows her mother was murdered and she watched it happen with her own two eyes. Everyone except for Noah at the moment, believes Grace is crazy and she was just seeing things because of all the smoke or not wanting to remember the very tragic accident as just that, an accident. Grace has always been daring and that gives her a quality many people look for in a friendship.
“Fish Cheeks” by Amy Tan recalls an embarrassing Christmas Eve dinner the author had during her childhood. Attending this dinner was Tans childhood crush and an assortment of Tans relatives and family friends. Tan explains that she was embarrassed by her family’s Chinese traditions, including the mishmash of Chinese foods, noisy relatives, and impolite manners (Tan 74). Tan’s only desire was to be like other American girls, but it wasn’t until much later in life did Tan truly realize what her family’s heritage meant to her. Likewise, “Museum” by Naomi Shihab Nye tells of another past embarrassing experience by the author. Nye informs the reader of an add she saw for a museum called the McNay. Nye and her friend both decide to attend the
Thank you for sharing your on-site issue. I am expressive with my facial expressions quite often and until your post, I am not sure if I viewed this as a major problem. You are spot on with being concerned with. Anyone that has been on the received end of a disapproving facial expression understands how it can sting. I was thinking about how Thelma from Love’s Executioner and she would have reacted to Dr. Yalom (1989) if he lost that poker face. There were times we can infer that he might have let his face communicate a judgement and it impacted the session. Navarro (2011) states, “...there are over 215 behaviors associated with psychological discomfort and most of those are not in the face (para.14).” Yikes!!! I would
Margot is very compassionate about everyone and making sure that everyone is happy and has what they need. She is compassionate about her school work even though they are not in school
Music with some stress occasionally and she likes to talk to people that are trustworthy to her. She deals with conflict by simply walking away. It complements the power she know she has over herself. Her close friends would describe her as thoughtful, caring, and dramatic. She listens to stories from strangers just to hear them out and assure they’re heard and cared for. She's soft in soft moments from movie scenes to actual real-life touching situations asserting her emotion in all ways. She’s also dramatic. When she’s dramatic it’s “over the top dramatic,” especially when the problems are simple. She’d choose to have mind reading ability out of any superpower. She would like to further understand the human mind. She also believes in spirits and demons and she’s interested in ghost topics. But she doesn’t believe in aliens or any other extra terrestrial organisms. She’s not that big of a science geek. Science is her least favorite class subject. Also we touched on world topics. If she could be anyone else in time she’d go back in time and be Dr. Martin Luther King. She’d be Dr. King to be one of the first black to step ahead to vocalize what was going on in a sad America. She wouldn’t change a bit of his role, she’d be him, serving the country no different that the real MLK did. To her, success is “accomplishing any desirable goals.” So she can see in her eyes that everyone is successful no matter what
In “Mean Girls” by Tina Fey, there are a few characters that stand out because of how interesting they are. One that stands out the most to me is Karen Smith. In the course of the movie, she deals with her friends bringing a new girl into the group and that girl ends up turning into the “Queen” throughout the movie. Karen has to go through with her friends getting into verbal and physical wars. The writer also reveals that Karen is not the smart one of the group. For example, she tries to catch a football with her chest and it just ends up bouncing off. She appears to be dull-minded and clueless. Karen Smith shows that throughout the story she is a static character because she never changes throughout the movie.

"I look at my homely sketch. It doesn't need anything. Even through the river in my eyes I can see that. It isn't perfect and that makes it just right" (198). This relates to her character traits because it shows her big emotions/expressions and that those emotions change her personality and reputation and that all gives her encouragement to finally finish and like her
Amy Lowell was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on February 9, 1874. She was the daughter of Augustus Lowell and Katherine Bigelow Lawrence. Both her mother and father were from New England aristocrats. Aristocrats are wealthy and prominent members of society. Her father, Augustus, was a businessman, civic leader, and horticulturalist. Lowell’s mother, Katherine, was an accomplished musician and linguist. Lowell was, although, considered as “almost disreputable,” poets ran in the Lowell family. James Russell Lowell, a first cousin, and later Robert Lowell was one of the many poets her family had to offer.
