“The Prophecy” by Aaron Bautista Fate in many forms have been in many aspects of cultures and religion. Fate can be described as having a spirituality belief or supernatural power that is like a prophecy. Believers in fate knows fate cannot be change. In the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, Shakespeare demonstrates this, by expressing that no matter how much significant events you throw in the protagonist, they cannot escape fate. One might say stupidity was the cause of Romeo and Juliet death but the real cause, was fate itself. Without fate, the two lovers would have not meet each other in the first place. It was not a coincident that Romeo and Juliet meet in the first place, it all began when a servant from the Capulet leak information to Romeo and Benvolio about the Capulet party. Not knowing Romeo and Benvolio are from the Montagues he asked them to only “come”, if they are not from the Montagues. “If you not be of the house of Montagues, I pray, come and crush a cup of wine.” (Act 1, Scene 2, Line 79-80) Anyone may say this was a complete accident, but fate itself have already planned this from the start and have always been a step ahead of everyone. When both of them found out that the person they love was their enemy, they had no choice but to accept it, because it was too late. It was just a name, that is all it was.The fact that they got married even though it was forbidden was the sign that they very much love each other and do not care about the outcome that will soon to happen. Fate once again will be part of this when Tybalt challenge Romeo to a fight. Tybalt dies and Romeo is banished.
