Favorite memories: I have two favorite memories and they both involve our shared love of travel. My first favorite memory, I believe took place after my senior year of high school. My Dad came up with the idea to go to Washington DC for a daytrip (he used to work for the airline we got nearly free airfare). Since we only had hours to spend we chose to go to the Smithsonian. Flying out, taking transportation to the museum, meandering thru the museum, transportation back to the airport, followed by flying home. It was a whirlwind of a day. The second memory is from when Dad came to visit me when I was in college during my semester abroad in Scotland. He came with my step-mom and sister but on one day just he and I took the bus into Edinburgh.
Everyone has a favorite memory about their lives. My favorite memory took place when I traveled to Ohio in 2014 for Thanksgiving.
Another great memory I had was when I went to Myrtle Beach with my mom, grandma, and older brother Vincent. We stayed in a horrible motel it stunk, had bugs, and a small shower but we made the best of it. One day while we was there we were walking on the pier and this disabled man in a wheelchair was fishing and caught a baby shark and he stopped me to show me what he had caught, and he asked me if I did not mind would I throw the shark back in the water and i looked at him like he was crazy and he told me it was okay to pick it the shark up as long and I did not touch near his mouth, so I go
I had so much fun when me, my sister and my momma took a trip to South Carolina. We was originally going just to go to my brothers graduation from basic training, but ended up doing more than we expected. We had a rough trip on the way to his graduation. By trouble I mean our truck broke down in Atlanta, GA. Since the truck didn't make it all the way there, we got a hotel room in Atlanta. We woke up the next day and went to explore since we was already in Atlanta and I haven't never been before. We first went to find something to eat, but didn't know where anything was at so we asked around. One man said we should go to the Underground Atlanta food court. This is shopping and entertainment district in downtown Atlanta. It was a lot of food
My favorite memory happened this past October to the Alabama Student conference in Athens. We listened to a lot of speakers and professionals. Great bonding experience with new members. Helped to bond for when we go our separate ways.
Now that you know my first memory I will tell you my second memory. My second memory is when I went to Hawaii five times. Last time I went to Hawaii it was in 2014, in Hawaii two years ago I went surfing for the first time! My mom signed my older brother and I up for one morning of surfing lessons, and that was super fun! Also every year when we go to Hawaii we go snorkeling. Last time we went snorkeling I went with my dad and we saw so many different types of fish, coral, and we even saw a turtle! One other spectacular thing that happened was we went on a boat ride and there was a whole bunch of other people on board. We stopped near this island with no houses or anything on it and we went snorkeling around there. On the way back to the island
Right before July 4th it was one of the best memories with my family. It was a nice day and their was a breeze that I felt on my skin and the sound that made me feel calm. We were all laughing and everyone has a smile on their face. I was with my mom, dad, sister , and my godbrother. That day we went to Water Tower in downtown Chicago and went to my favorite store called Marbles The Brain Store. They have cool games and gadgets. After that we went to get food from food life and I had a really good pizza. It smelled like a freshly baked out the oven and when you bite into it cheese started to ooze out of the good pizza. It tastes really cheesy and the bread was baked just right.
I don’t really know what my first memory is, but I do know that one of my earliest memories is me, along with my mom, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, crossing a stream in Pauwegaude. Pauwegaude is the village where my dad grew up. It’s where my dad learned to do homework using candle light. It’s where my dad’s family had lived for eighty years in a mud home, it’s where that mud home still stands today.
One of the best memories for me is when we went to Great America last year. One reason for that being my best memory is because
To start off, there is one specific day that I vividly remember. My grandparents and I were taking a short trip to Mississippi to visit my family. I always loved going to my cousins’ house because so many memories of my life were made with them. As we packed up the car, excitement rushed through me for I knew the adventure ahead. We road for hours through the Mississippi hills and soon we had arrived at our destination. We were greeted with big hugs from my family and soon after the fun began. We sat on the back deck for hours talking, listening to
One day my parents announced that we will be going to our grandparents up in Nebraska. I was so excited because they also said we will be going to Mount Rushmore. We left Wednesday and didn't get home til next Monday. We stayed in Hot Springs and went sight seeing around there. I was very nervous becuase there was some bison or buffalo around the area. We were also taking a tractor over to a place nearby to get fixed. It was like when we go on school field trips. I loved looking at all the wonderful
When I was ten the family decided to go on cruise to the Bahamas for a summer trip. We all were really excited to go. When the day came, we drove to Cape Canaveral to leave for the week.
"A mnemonic device is a technique a person can use to help them improve their ability to remember something." "It would be considered a memory technique to help your brain better encode and recall important information used daily and plenty often." A common mnemonic for remembering lists is to create an easily remembered acronym also known as the mnemonic, or taking each of the initial letters of the listed members, and help create a memorable phrase, in which some words with the acronym as the material. Anyone and everyone can create their own mnemonic to help aid their memory or memorization of a novel material in which we used most often.
The clearest memory I can remember is when I was only four or five years old. My mom bought my twin sister and me a pair of little kittens for some reason I seem to-maybe it was our birthday...maybe-not remember. As soon as my mother gave them to us, we fell in love instantly. Even though I loved my kittens, I can’t seem to recall any happy memory with any of them (not even their sex), what I do remember clearly, is a not so pleasant memory that adults assume kids would have with their favorite pet.
My most memorable memory to date was starting school. I was anxious, afraid, unprepared and excited altogether. I was dead silent throughout my whole first day. Equipped with little English I felt alone in my own island. I was not yet accustomed to the country after arriving a month prior, let alone school environment. I would sit down and listen to read alouds quiet not understanding what the teacher would be reading. I grew a drift between my classmates; I felt as if I was on my own. I struggled in reading, writing and even enjoying recess became difficult as I was on my own island. English being my third language after Somali and Nyanja was a huge challenge. As I was taught English at school, at home I would have to speak my native language
My favorite memory is when I went to the Oregon Coast with my family. We left Homedale at around 4 in the morning and arrived in Sandy, Oregon at about 11 am. After a few hours went by we stopped at this one rest stop and we fed our leftover fries and crumbs to chipmunks, they ate them right out of our hands. Then we stopped in Sandy because my half sister Samantha lives there. After we picked her up we drove to Newport and checked into our hotel, the Elizabeth inn, the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at, they served fresh clam and salmon chowder every morning and lunch which was delightful. The most beautiful view of the ocean on the whole coast was just off of our balcony. All of us were tired and decided to stay in our hotel and get some rest.
