Good afternoon,
The announcement below from Feeding America represents a major accomplishment and is the culmination of a lot of hard work by the Feeding America Network, including the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
The Hunger Free Summer for Kids Act of 2015 is bipartisan legislation, with United States Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) as a co-sponsor, that seeks a major improvement to the Summer Food Service Program and improves the SNAP program during the summer for families needing support when school is out:
1) a non-congregate meal option

This legislation represents the best opportunity we will have during the 114th Congress to make a difference in the lives of the clients we serve. Tomorrow,
The purpose of this assignment is to choose a legislative proposal regarding health care access and discuss the current program as well as ways the new legislation will improve access. The proposal chosen for this assignment is, State Senate Bill 810 authored by Senator Mark Leno; a Democrat from the city of San Francisco and presented in March 2011 as The California Universal Health Care Act. This landmark legislation establishes a modern universal health care system to cover
Our nation is currently in the middle of grim economic circumstances of stagflation. Inflation is high, and getting higher. Unemployment is high, and getting higher. While all of this happens, GDP continues to drop. If nothing is done about this, our nation is sure to suffer worse consequences than we have already been forced to endure. Our economy will be flushed down the toilet. This new economic policy is the answer to our prayers. With the perfect blend of fiscal and monetary policy, we will achieve our goal of curbing inflation and will reduce the price of goods and services. Although GDP will initially go down because of the decrease in personal income, overtime the reduction in prices will eventually
I think they are: freedom of religion, the 2nt amendment and the freedom of speech.
Signed America, to our generation, the gift with freedom, stuffed inside. The gift is fragile and can break at any time with rotten choices. Being responsible shall keep your gift from flying away. This gift is a privilege, a kind that is priceless, that would be hurtful to lose.
Obama: “Why do you think your plan will be any better? How is sending out all of our fighters at once gonna result in peace.”
Tonight, I am honored to speak to you on behalf of our president. He has restored confidence to many people in this nation, however, a great number of you are still unemployed. I know how it feels to lay low in spirit. In my eighty years of life, I had seen poverty, and experienced misery but I had also experienced victories, triumphs, and a deep love for my country. With all of my confidence I can assure to you that we will get through this depression.
President are elected from each and every stated, voted from the ages of 18 years old and older. The elections are held in each state, so there would be different amount of people voting for the president they think who’s the best for this position. The president is picked he/she has to give a speech. The speech they gave is called ‘the state of union”. The state of union is assigned by the Constitution. It was planned to keep the Congress informed of what was happening to the nation when there were radios. It also explains what was going on with the president reports on the audience. However, the speech is given every January by the United Sates President describing what is going on with the country and any new laws that may be occurred.
Nearly every member of the United States executive branch, legislative branch and judicial branches are gathered tonight on January 12, as President Barack Obama delivers his seventh -and final- State of the Union address, during the new year of 2016 at The House Chamber in the U.S. Capitol. With this particular event being streamed on every news channel, I don’t think you could miss it. I feel honor and respect towards the president because he has to prepare a speech that makes sense and gathers people’s attention without offending them, but I wish he could’ve made the long speech not as tedious, so I wouldn’t want to fall asleep while listening to his monotonous tone.
In collaboration with Feeding America, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is working to ensure that:
As President, I led an extraordinary group of individuals towards the promotion of health at school while providing an extraordinary amount of leadership opportunities to ensure when I leave my position in June that I left the club in better hands. I also led a school wide campaign to boost blood donation rates to the point by the end of the year we’ve saved nearly one thousand lives. I also won first place in Research Persuasive Essay in the county for my speech. I’ve also received a $1000 scholarship from OneBlood for my work within the community.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt is struggling to fix his tie in a low hanging mirror when Eleanor, his wife, comes up behind him and adjusts his tie for him. As she finishes, she plants a kiss on his head in attempts to ease his nerves. While his palms sweat and shake he whispers his speech under his breath. Eleanor comforts him by telling him he will do fine but he isn't listening to her. A nondescript man in shades and a black suit interrupts the couples one sided conversation, “It's time Mr. President”.
Today it seems as though everyday everyone is talking about immigration. Whether it is politicians speaking about their stance on immigration issues, news articles or a news report. It is quite prevalent today more than ever when speaking of immigration the issue that comes at hand is illegal immigration and how should we handle it. And they have every reason to do so. There are currently about 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States which make up roughly 3.5% of our population ( Hoefer, Rytina, and Baker, 2011). The questions that remain at large are: What do with do with undocumented immigrants that are already residing in America and what do we do about the many more that wish to come to here legally?
Across the United States, as of July 2016, approximately 43,369,684 people received Government funded food stamps to feed their families. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program known as SNAP, is funded by the Food Research Action Center known as FRAC, a private, nonprofit organization. FRAC receives its funding from the Federal Government. In December 2015, the year-end report had reported that the U.S. Government spent 80 billion dollars on the SNAP program alone. 1.1 percent of each tax payer’s tax dollars is put towards welfare costs. The Food Stamp Act of 1977 was an act intended to provide better nutrition for low-income families. However, fraudulent use of these benefits has become
At the beginning of his speech the president showed ethical appeal by giving us the history in chronological order. The president gave the background history of this country, talking about the constitution and how unfortunately it was not completed which gave rise to “original sin” called slavery and lead to twenty more years of slavery. The president also mentioned that even though the answers to slavery were embedded into the constitution it could not provide equality to both men and women of all races. The president then spoke about his reasons for campaigning was “to continue the long march of those who came before us, a march for a more just, more equal, more free, and more caring and more prosperous America.”
Trump’s speech sounds like poetry. He is giving people feel he is confidence when he standing in the stage, even though there are so many Armenian reject him to be elect the president. In the speech, Trump tells people we need better jobs, education, and boost America trade. He is trying to show people, his first service target is Armenian, but someone else. This is interesting sentence” The time for empty talk is over.” It gives like Trump is not very enjoying the speech, he uses “empty talk” to describe his speech.
