Fertility Drugs
Most men and women are raised thinking that eventually they will marry and have children. What happens when a couple gets married and wants to have a child and finds out that after several times of having unprotected sex there is no pregnancy? The finger is usually pointed at the woman but in some cases it can be due to the man. In a woman's case, the problem is usually that she is not ovulating normally and in a man's case he might have low sperm count. These are the problems that are most heard of but there are other factors that can cause infertility. An anxious couple quickly turns to science to try and find a solution to their problem. Although taking fertility drugs is the "solution", it can be quite strenuous

It is said that women are usually the ones that suffer the most when dealing with infertility. For some women, motherhood is a large part of their image of themselves as females. Men tend not to be pressured the same way to become fathers. "Most men are able to deal with this matter better because they are brought up to repress their feelings."(www.babycenter.com) If it is known that the fertility problem is his then a man's image of himself will begin to suffer. Infertile couples end up on an emotional roller coaster because they begin "to live their life in month to month cycles of hope and disappointment that revolve around ovulation calendars and menstruation."(www.babycenter.com) They also begin to deal with financial issues because the treatment is expensive and requires holding off on extra expenses in order to save money.

Your thoughts are to meet someone, get married, and eventually have children.Sometimes life doesn't work out that way. But trying to conceive and failing after many attempts can be overwhelming and frustrating always trying to stay positive that this time will work. It’s important to start the process of finding out what test’s you have to take to know if you're able to have children; and what are options for infertility.
It is assumed by most that we will all be able to grow up, fall in love, get married, and then have children of our own. The road to parenthood is not all fun and games though, a lot can go wrong. For example there are a number of diseases that both males and females can receive. (Zimmerman, Kim Ann). Cancer is usually the main one people think of, but there is also STD's, HIV, AIDS, and they are all spread from person to person from sexual activity. Along with all the diseases there are many things that can prevent a child from being produced: "Infertility in women is considered a disorder." (Zimmerman, Kim Ann). Although infertility is not a disorder in the male, it is in women because of the fact that the woman carries the babies in their bodies. The partners only need one person to be infertile but also they wont know that they are until the usual birthing process would supposed to be happening. Other problems can occur other than disease, like a pre or post mature baby or in extreme cases even a miscarriage. There are also gender specific cases, the most common is Erectile Disfunction which happens in 1 out of 10 males, doctors are providing pills to erase this condition. (Zimmerman, Kim Ann). Just because you have any one of these conditions does not mean that all hope is lost for having a kid: "Reproductive conditions are treated by a variety of specialists." (Zimmerman, Kim Ann).
Infertility is a big topic in the book One Foot in Eden by Ron Rash. This affects many charters in the story like the Sheriff and his wife. The third main point, infertility is when both partners are not able to get pregnant. Usually cause when the ovaries of the woman is not able to release ova. There is a treatment that could take where it will cause the woman to ovulate. In other cases sometimes the man will not be able to produce sperm and his partner could get inseminated with another man sperm. Which of course will have no personal contact with another man, she will get inseminate from someone that donates their sperm. Reading through chapter three I have a very good understanding when it comes to twins and why some do not look the same. Also infertility, when couples are not able to get pregnant and have to do other things just to be able to have a
